Mum went into Hollybush following surgery after a fall. It was a traumatic time for her and she was confused and frightened, but thanks to the care provided by the wonderful team at Hollybush Mum soon settled. It was a huge relief for our family to know that she was well looked after and treated with such kindness, care and dignity. Everyone in the Hollybush team ,from carers to housekeeping to catering staff ,were always so friendly,welcoming and supportive and Mum was full of praise for all who cared for her. Residents were encouraged to stay active and engaged through daily activities and regular physiotherapy and staff worked hard to build a rapport with them. It was the little details that really impressed us, such as the scrupulous skin care and the fact that staff took the time to dress Mum in outfits that were co-ordinated , not just randomly selected. Our only regret is that Mum was unable to stay permanently as we know she would've been happy there. Thank you all.

A huge thank you to all the staff and fellow residents who made mums experience so special. She has really come on in leaps and bounds. It is great to see not only quality care but lots of activities to engage the residents / clients. The physio team have been awesome as well. Very caring staff and lovely atmosphere. Thank you all again for all you have done for mum.

Excellent place to recouperate. All staff are very kind and caring to a very high standard. I am only sorry that you do not take permanent residents as I would have more than happy to continue Mom's care with you

Marie is really enjoying her time with you. She looks fantastic. She enjoys the games. Marie has said that all staff are lovely and help her with all her needs. As a family we thank you for all your doing to recuperate her.

Excellent care and compassion given to family member, treated with respect and dignity at all times,all staff are professional and friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble. The home is spotless at all times,activities every day if residents wish to join in. Always keep you up todate with any concerns or changes. Very high staffing levels to meet residents needs and support with on going care.

My husband has been a resident at Woodview House for nearly four months now and I cannot praise all the staff enough for his care, they all work together to provide an excellent quality of care. He is not the easiest person to look after but the staff always show patience and understanding even during challenging circumstances. Woodview House welcomes family and friends and the atmosphere is calm but inviting. Many different activities and entertainment are provided and residents are encouraged to listen, watch or participate. The highlight of the day from my husband's point of view has to be the meals which are varied but always good quality. I would like thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

My mother is a recent resident at woodview house after getting diagnosed with dementia which came on rapidly in the last six months, she was being cared for at harvest view for 5 months (was meant to be 6 weeks) as she is at end of life.. my mother is still going strong but I was told she also requires 24 hour care... After 2 months now I can't praise enough with how fantastic all the staff have been through this traumatising time.. the help they gave my mother is above and beyond. The staff have interacted with her, read to her, even watch the TV with her as she's bedbound.

In the last 6 weeks she sadly can't respond well anymore but I know she is always well looked after. I have regular up dates on her well being, which takes the stress and worry away.

Don't let the age of this building fool you, this team is very trustworthy and building well maintained, I actually like it's hidden away also it's a really great location to visit.

My mom was discharged to Hollybush to get her stronger for coming home. Unfortunately she deteriorated and was moved to palliative care at Hollybush. The staff were absolutely amazing, she was treated with dignity and respect until the end.

My dear mom has been a resident at Woodview House for over 2 years now and cannot rate it highly enough. From The Manager, to the fantastic team caring for my mom on a daily basis, the care they have given her has been second to none. The physical and mental support they give her along with the fact that I feel relieved that she is truly being cared for when I am not there is priceless.

Mom has been in this home for almost 3 years now, she is very well looked after, always kept entertained (as there are games being played or entertainment on) and she is also well fed (having seen the meals brought out to her). All levels of staff are always helpful, polite, knowledgeable and jovial - a reflection of the home itself.

I wouldn't want my dad to be anywhere else he's so cared for by all staff and they know exactly how to handle him.

This home has been amazing for my mum. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with Lewy bodies dementia in January 2022, and it came on so quickly and due to her challenging behaviour she was sectioned in April 2022. We then had to find a home for my mum as we knew she was never going to be able to return home.

Yes, it doesn’t look like the most modern home, but it’s the care that is important.

The staff are wonderful and caring and really encouraging with mum to get her out of bed. She was really happy there, but unfortunately, her illness progressed very quickly and she was bedbound, she was admitted to the hospital where she, unfortunately, died a week later in October 2023.

My mum had nearly a year at Wood View and during that time I never worried about the care she was given, thank you so much.

I really trust them with Mom's care and wouldn't want her to be anywhere else.

My wife has been in Woodview House Nursing Home for several years now. Whilst the care for her has been satisfactory more recently there has been a noticeable improvement in the overall quality. This includes stability of staff, staff teamwork, activities and camaraderie too. Creating a friendly caring atmosphere and above all an improvement in my wife's happiness. Our family are grateful. Thank you so much.

Only negative would be that you aren't always informed about things and communication is not always effective.

My time at Hollybush house has been very good. Staff helpful and kind, couldn't have been anywhere else to make me feel happier.

My mother has been a resident of Woodview for over six years. It is the staff that make a difference and they have cared for my mother and made her as comfortable as possible. This has not been easy with her having a form of dementia, which can make her behaviour aggressive and verbal at times. Learning the best way to approach and make her feel calm is a skill and many staff rise to the challenge. The team take it in their stride and understand the difficulties of the illness. Overall, we are pleased with the service and happy to see recently there is a big push on staff training and improvements planned for the home. This is a home that can make a difference to our loved ones when battling with an illness. Keep up the good work to make the home even better!
