It all began back in May 2026 when my Dad was assessed at home by 2 amazing Lancum House nurses with a view to some short term respite care. They were understanding and totally sympathetic to his needs and within days we were able to get Dad a comfortable room onsite where he could be looked after 24/7 and his particular care needs met. Roll on 3 months and he is now a permanent resident and I'm reassured that he is in the best possible place !

My mother has alzheimer's and has been at Thorndale since December 2024. The staff put us at ease from beginning and are always helpful and friendly. We can tell that she is well looked after and cared for. They are all fantastic, especially Mags, Laura and Chloe

My sister moved into Lancum House Wellingborough in December 2025 on a short term basis. I needed to see how she would manage in a new environment. She has dementia and was adamant she wanted to remain at home. In February we agreed she would move in permanently and has settled extremely well. She needs support in many ways and encouragement to take part in care home activities. I visit weekly for a few days and find she is well looked after, enjoys the food and takes part in different activities after a bit of persuasion. She is happy generally and despite communication difficulties likes the staff who keep her well cared for. Her diet has improved and the home seeks out items she needs for her diabetes. She has regular medical monitoring and seems in better shape than she was at home. On my visits I'm always welcomed and have got to know the people she sees regularly. It's a warm, friendly and competent atmosphere and my sister appreciates it.

My mum has been at Lancum House for two years. Staff are always welcoming and aware of how difficult it is for families to not have their loved ones at home anymore. Nneka and Anita are always there with a supportive hug if we need one and Dominic, Jane and Amanda are always so helpful as are all of the staff. the staff are kind and treat mum with dignity and respect. lancum's dementia care is personalised to what mum needs. The staff run activities and have singers in to entertain the residents which keeps them motivated and there is always something going on. The staff communicate clearly with families, and there is a real sense of community. It's a place where residents are respected and supported,. We are really happy with Lancum House and would recommend it.

Family friend enjoyed living here. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Plenty of activities on throughout the day for people to enjoy too if they wish to. The gardens here are also lovely and well maintained and presented.

Having previous experience of care home facilities this knocks the socks them, clean, tidy & staff caring. Excellent! My mum has recently had respite in sandalwood care home and we are hoping to get her residence status as she seems happy and content.

my mum is cared for well at this care home and the facilities are excellent She is giving her medication regularly and is eating well again and the staff care look after her well she seems to have a good night sleep since being there

The staff are all very good with her and meet all her needs as required from a family perspective we are all very happy with the home.

My Mum in law has made a very close friend in there. They spend many hours together. When we visit she's always got a smile. She calls Lancum House HOME.

My dad was admitted to Thorndale at the beginning of August. I was full of trepidation at taking such a life changing step. I needn't have worried. Dad is full of good humour and praise for the staff, calling them his friends. He is always smart and clean. He enjoys the food and garden. All the staff are helpful and cheery. I am so grateful that this has been a positive step and my dad is happy.

My father went to stay at Thorndale for respite. The staff from day one showed so much care and empathy to dad. Going into a home was never what my amazing dad would have wanted, this has been a huge decision but everyone at Thorndale has made this transition into care very smooth. Dad is enjoying the company, the food - he loves the food, he even had his first mocktail at Thorndale. All staff have been so caring that we have decided dad will remain at Thorndale, he is happy, well cared for and well fed with endless cups of tea! The staff clearly work hard to support all the residents. Last Saturday I took dad for a walk, not far from the Thorndale dad fell. I phoned the home and 3 members of staff came out to meet us, wheelchair at the ready. The care and attention the staff gave dad after the fall, cleaning his wounds, calling medical help and district nurses, making him a cup of tea and not letting him feel embarrassed. I would not hesitate to recommend Thorndale.

Staff are lovely. The manger steph and the team are amazing. Nice homely feel. Clean and smells nice and fresh. My nan has settled very well and seems to be very happy Activities are great they do alot with the residents. Best home in corby.

Welcoming staff, lovely clean environment. N is clearly well cared for + has made great improvements in health & mobility since living here.

Our Mother has been a resident for a number of years. All the staff are very friendly and supportive when we come to visit, mum is always busy with Bingo which she loves as well as a number of activities and visits from various performers.

During Mums stay, we found all staff to be exceptionally friendly, kind, professional and committed. We felt she was in very safe hands. She was very well looked after and enjoyed her stay. My mother, Liz, has been a resident at the home for several years. She is very happy there, both with the medical and pastoral care. For me, I am very impressed with the staff of the home, both medical and management and administrative. As a family, we are all very pleased that Liz is there.
