Overall Experience

Our mother has been a resident for 10 months now. On admission she was very confused, resisting any help from everyone including her children but within a very short space of time and with the care and attention shown by each and every member of staff, she has adapted very well and now joins in with

a lot of things. The team are fantastic, whether they are care staff, laundry staff, kitchen staff or admin, everyone goes out of their way to make the residents feel cared for and their families and friends feel welcome.

Overall Experience

Mum had lived alone following my Dads passing away in March 2018. In August last year she had a couple of falls at home and a hospital and rehabilitation stay followed. Mum no longer felt safe staying at home alone. Mum went into Thorndale on October 7th initially for 2 weeks respite care whilst I was

on holiday. After my return from holiday Mum was due to go home with a care package. We were lucky enough to be told just before my return that Mum qualified for 24 hour care and was able if she wanted to stay at Thorndale. Mum said yes without hesitation. She has made some good friends with fellow residents, joins in with the activities, and loves having her hair done weekly in the on site salon. We are made to feel very welcome when we go into visit Mum, we're invited to join in with the activities and if tea and coffee are made we are offered 1 too. Thank you Thorndale for looking after Mum so well.

Overall Experience

My Mum has been in Abbott House since 2022, she absolutely loves it there. She has a few health issues, but they are been all looked after by the staff, I can not praise them enough. The new entertainment manager is excellent. She has organised so many activities for the residents, they are all happy

with so much to do. The staff at Abbott House are brilliant. They care for the residents 100% and always make you feel welcome when ever you go there. Abbott House is a very welcoming home, I wouldn't mind be looked after them myself. I can not fault the staff at all, always friendly and helpful, with a smile on there face. I know that my Mum is being well looked after there. I would recommend this home to all.

Overall Experience

Mum is now 101 and has been at Abbott House for more than five years. She is looked ate very well, even though she is very frail and can be a bit stubborn and difficult at times. The staff are attentive, open, friendly and conscientious and appear to work happily together under caring management.

Moved into Sandalwood House in January 2025. Since staying here the staff have looked after me very well, I can't fault them, I am enjoying the food on offer and with support, I am maintaining my independence I could not fault anything all are so helpful to me.

Mum has been in Thorndale for a few weeks and has settled in well.
The Staff are very caring, friendly and compassionate, nothing is never to much trouble for them, and they always have a welcoming smile.

My mother continues to be loved and cared for very well, by all the hard working staff at Lancum House.
The staff are amazing, providing an often challenging service, with a smile, they are friendly, well coming, supportive and have fun with my mum too!
The kitchen staff cook some delicious meals----the

lovely smell.. when you pass the kitchen... wants me to go in and try their delicious food!
The newsletter is very popular, the photos posted, gives an insight into the different activities that are arranged by the Activity Leaders for the residents. The Dementia Choir is a real winner, everyone has such a lovely, fun time there, so many big smiles!
All I can say is that I really appreciate what everyone at Lancum House does for my mum's well being and a "HUGE THANK YOU" to everyone! :)

His room is always clean. The bed is always made.

Mum has been in this home since August 24 and we were worried Christmas would be hard for her away from family but the team were exceptional, they involved her in all crafts and made her feel like their family. The care is outstanding nothing is too much for the staff. The kitchen staff cater to everyone's
