What love and kindness have done. My sister was placed into Sandalwood Court in August 2024 in a very poor way. She was put on end-of-life and palliative care, but she was made so comfortable and cared for with love and kindness that she miraculously recovered and us very happy and content. She cannot
walk, but she joins in as much as she can and has now started knitting again at the age of 101. My heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful staff at Sandalwood Court for not only caring for my sister but also for the care and compassion they give to our family. I therefore fully recommend Sandalwood Court and would also feel comfortable there myself.

My friend was on end of life care and we were expecting the worst. However, since she has been at Sandalwood Court she has improved in bounds due to their exceptional care. She is no longer on end of life care and loves being at Sandalwood. It amazes me how much she has improved and how caring and loving
the staff are. She recently had her 101st birthday. She had 100th birthday last year and on both occasions she was spoilt with a party, where residents & friends were there. She has now started knitting!! The staff are so caring, friendly & welcoming.

I cannot thank Sandalwood Court enough for taking great care of my Aunt who is 101 years old. Their compassion and care every day gives my auntie a safe environment to live in. She is treated with dignity at all times. Staff are always welcoming and the management team are always on hand. Highly recommend
for anybody's loved ones whether it be a respite stay or permanent home.

My mum is a resident at Sandalwood care home , and I couldn't be more happy with the care that she receives.
I live in Australia and myself and my daughter came to visit my mum.
Sandalwood went above and beyond , letting us have a family gathering on Saturday 21st June in the residents garden area.
Sandalwood provided Sandwhiches, cakes and other snacks for us all to enjoy . The activities coordinator took time out to take some fabulous family photos, which was much appreciated .
The whole family had a fab day.

I would like to commend the staff at Sandlewood Care Home in Corby for their very kind offer of supporting myself and family to provide a garden party for my mum who was having visitors from Australia and London and her family from Corby.
The kitchen staff provided a buffet and a beautiful, very tasty
sponge cake, along with plenty of drinks to keep us all hydrated in the sunshine.
The activity coordinators supplied lots of games and equipment for all the family to use and took lots of photos for the family album.
The care home staff went over and above their daily roles to do all of the above.
My mum has been in Sandlewood for 18 months now and I would not want our mum/gran/GG to be living anywhere else.
The home exceeds expectations and deserved 10 out of 10 for their kindness, empathy and caring attitudes towards the residents that live in the home. Well done to the manager and your team

My mum has been in Sandalwood for nearly 3 months. She is a very private person and had a few struggles too begin with, but thanks too all the amazing staff she has settled in great and is now enjoying mixing with the other residents and enjoying the great activities they have. Her care is second too
none. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. So thank you everyone at Sandalwood you have made mums transition easy for her and our family. Keep up the amazing work.

I can not fault anything here, I am good, great staff. We all have a good laugh. I do odd little things with the gardening, keep them nice and tidy and they all call it my garden for what I have done as it was a mess. I have also walked around the whole building picking up all the rubbish. I can't thank

After the recent loss earlier than anticipated of my mum, dad had to be placed into urgent residential care. Sandalwood Court luckily for us as a family came to our rescue. The staff are wonderful with him and have really brought him out of his shell with his dementia. He is happy and settled which

I had a week's respite as my wife had to go to hospital for heart problems and we were met by staff with much love and kindness, very welcoming. The home looked amazing with all the Christmas decorations and I just knew I was going to be happy.
I had a lovely week, all the staff were very attentive,

This is the first time experiencing a care home for one of our family. We have felt leaving my mum in very capable hands as she is being well looked after in very homely surroundings. I always find the staff caring and attentive. They engage with the residents in a friendly kind manner and seek to provide different ways to make their lives fulfilling and enjoyable. The staff provide seasonal celebrations and decorate the different floors to a high standard making the environment
fun and uplifting. The residents are offered a variety of activities every day and have numerous entertainments from outside sources. It is lovely to see the residents joining in with singers that visit the home.

Amazing staff- careful, polite and professional. Everyday entertainment activities to make the residents feel more homely and make them happy. Well-designed, organised sitting areas. The resident's room is nice and clean and provided with needed equipment.

We have been very happy with the whole experience since Mum moved to Sandalwood Court. Everyone from the top down has treated Mum with dignity and respect. During her last month here I don't believe she could have received better care anywhere. Staff were always available to provide updates and any
assistance required. Although Mum was confined to bed she still received excellent care and was always clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is always welcoming. No complaints at all.

We came to visit my nan today. The staff are always very friendly and caring. It was quiet today as many of the residents were upstairs for activities. My mum was at Sandalwood for 4.5 years. The care Mum received was exceptional. The staff on the top floor were great. Many thanks.
Mum had to leave because we were told she needed more nursing care and was sent to another setting. She has been in there for 5 weeks. After 3 weeks Mum had 3 pressure
sores. None from Sandalwood. She was being left in bed all morning. I visited every day and complained all the time. The hygiene care is not good, she doesn't seem to be bathed or showered often. And her incontinence pads are left wet and smelling. They don't seem to have the staff to look after all the residents that need extra care. Why oh why did they make me move her? She was so happy at Sandalwood.

Originally joined Shaw Healthcare in 2010 as a Support Worker where I found a passion for working with people living with dementia, especially supporting with keeping humour alive. Laughter will always be the best medicine and I thrive off seeing smiles on our resident's faces. I gained my QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care during this time. I joined Sandalwood Court in 2019 and haven't looked back. I work with a fantastic group of people and I'm proud to be part of the Sandalwood Team.

Job Title: Team Leader Joined: 2022

I joined Sandalwood Court as a Team Leader in 2022. After around 21 years of care experience working in various sectors and gaining NVQ 2 & 3, I found myself going back to the area I began in. From day 1 the team here at Sandalwood made me feel so welcome. I believe that if you can support someone with even the smallest things and it makes them smile then it makes me happy. Helping others makes me feel I can be part of a team and make a difference.

I joined Sandalwood Court in the position of a support worker in 2014. This was my first role in care and I quickly found that this is the career that I wanted to pursue.


Working on the nights shows you a different aspect of care that most do not get to experience. In 2015 I was promoted to Night senior and in 2020 to Night Team Leader.


I am very passionate about my role here at Sandalwood and I like to lead by example and act as a mentor to those on the night team here. I can often be heard singing along with residents at all hours of the night and as long as it makes individuals feel comforted and safe that is all that matters.


Here at Sandalwood Court, we all work together as a team, a team which I am very proud to be part of.

Job Title: Domestic Supervisor Joined: 2013

I have worked at Sandalwood Court since 2013 as part of the domestic team. I was overjoyed when I was promoted to the role of domestic supervisor in 2018.


I love my job and working with my colleagues. We are a fantastic team and we are always helping each other out. We all work together to ensure that the home is cleaned to a high standard.


We are always getting involved in different activities to brighten up our resident’s day and this can involve dressing up and getting our dancing shoes on.


I have formed some fantastic relationships over the years with residents and visitors.


I also work as a bank staff for the kitchen here and I enjoy working there too.


We are all one big happy family here and we all work together to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.


I have always been a people person and really enjoy listening to the residents talk about their own life stories.


I have really enjoyed my years working here and hope to enjoy many more.
