All the staff, from the top to the bottom were absolutely fantastic; they looked after me and my mum, and I cannot thank them, and I mean all of them enough. I have given them five points, and would like to give them 10! I would give 10-plus for the care and kindness they give to Mum and me.

Thank you to the amazing team at Sandalwood Court. My nan arrived in their care during the pandemic, and they looked after her during some very difficult months. Nanny became part of their family, and it was plain to see they treated her with so much love and respect. It has been several months since
Nanny passed away, aged 99, and I know for sure that in her final home, she has happy, comfortable and lived life to the fullest. The staff dealt with Nanny's final days with sensitivity and gentleness, and for that, I will be forever grateful. Thank you all.

On arrival, all Covid procedures adhered to and during our visit, keeping everyone safe. I cannot praise Sandalwood Court home and staff enough. Mum's bedroom is light and airy with a nice view onto the front garden of the home; it is a lovely room. The manager and staff are all welcoming, supportive
and very helpful. Thank you all for the kindness and respect you show in caring for my mum. Excellent - 5-stars!

Having to put Nan into respite care for a week was both daunting and scary for my nan. However, the service provided by Sandalwood was amazing. Nan was well looked after by the friendly staff and was encouraged to join in with the many activities, as well as get her hair done. Nan has also mentioned
how nice the food was. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends. If Nan should ever need this service again, then I would be more than happy for her to do so.

I found the staff and management generally unfriendly, unengaging and with an excessive use of threatening protocol. Staff contrived to create a hostile environment during a family visit, made worse because of the very lengthy time and effort it took for a family member to arrive at Sandalwood.

I have no worries or concerns about leaving my mum in Sandalwood Court. She has the most care with staff; they are extremely good staff, good manners, well dressed and very good with their residents. All residents in Sandalwood Court are very, very well looked after.

Since Mum has become a resident at Sandalwood Court, we have been so pleased with the care and attention she has received. During the lockdown, we were kept well informed with all issues concerning Mums health and wellbeing. All staff and management have been very caring towards Mum, and she has been
kept safe and happy and loves taking part in all the activities. Couldn't have chosen a better place and even better now we can visit Mum and take her out for walks.

I have no complaints. I have expressed to the staff that I'm happy with things as they are. Without this care home, I would not survive, that is the simple truth. Long may I be enabled to survive without being too much of a burden on people that have my thankfulness for all my care.

The home's staff were extremely friendly and professional at all times. I was my friend's carer and was treated with great respect from the team, even though I wasn't a blood relative. The team quickly worked out I was treating my elderly friend as though she was my mother, as such gave me as much information
as possible in relation to my position. My friend was very happy there, and after attending hospital during these difficult times (Covid 19 pandemic), she always readily wanted to return to Sandalwood.
A special mention to one carer who always took time to explain how my friend was and with an upbeat approach, which was very supportive of us - not able to see our loved ones.
All in all a very good experience.

We had the privilege of visiting this home 3 times when I was Mayor and we have got to say we were very impressed. The facilities were excellent everyone we met were very happy. The staff were professional, helpful and polite. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The events that we attended were
very well organised and a lot of fun. Would like to say the food was lovely too especially the cakes.

As a granddaughter of a late resident, I wish to write a review to elaborate just how fantastic Sandalwood Court and their staff are!
The care staff are wonderful, my grandad received such wonderful, person-centred care. The staff genuinely cared for him and went above and beyond to ensure that his
needs were met, right up until his last moments; they treated him with dignity and respect; they also made sure that we, as a family, were looked after too.
The management and admin team are marvellous, approachable and will endeavour to answer any questions we had. The catering staff provide high-quality meals that appeared to be enjoyed by all.
Sandalwood Court is always clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard! Domestic staff are on hand to assist where needed with anything that was required.
I would highly recommend Sandalwood Court. Well done everybody, and thank you for everything you do!

During my visits, I found the staff to be cheerful and helpful at all times. I was always made welcome. During my mother's final days, I was unable to visit due to Covid-19, but I was kept informed and felt assured that my mother was treated with great care and dignity. Thank you all at Sandalwood.

My Sister has been a resident at Sandalwood Corby for 4 years. She receives the BEST care, all the staff across the board are wonderful, very, very caring and understanding. I do not live locally but they keep me informed of all my sister's well being, any little or big problem. They are very understanding
of my sister's dementia. When I visit my sister they are very welcoming to me, as I live over 100 miles away. Nothing is too much trouble, I have been offered meals and drink, wonderful.
Since the pandemic they have been exceptional, I am very grateful. My sister is 94 this coming October and she is very happy at Sandalwood. Thank you, everyone.

My parents moved into Sandalwood COUrt in November 2019. From the start, they were treated with great care and skill. The staff were all very friendly, caring and helpful. My father's health deteriorated earlier this year and she received the nest end of life care I could have wished for. In fact, the
whole family were treated so kindly it helped us all through difficult days. The home continues to take exemplary care of my mother during these extremely difficult days of lockdown.

Both mum and dad relocated to Sandlewood Court in November 2019. Immediately every single one of the team cared for them expertly. Identifying their individual needs providing top-notch care. Nothing was too much trouble!
It is their home, dad sadly passed away but with every care and empathy mum is
settled and we are happy she is happy.

My mum entered Sandalwood around February 2020. I had many reservations as you hear so many bad tales. As it turns out mum has settled in better than I could have hoped. She has been treated with the highest care and dignity. The staff are very friendly, caring and so far nothing seems too much in mum's
care. They have also acted so well in regards to Covid-19. They closed their doors a couple of weeks before lockdown came in and this has helped keep all the residents safe. I would recommend Sandalwood Court care home to anyone who needs a loved one cared for.

Originally joined Shaw Healthcare in 2010 as a Support Worker where I found a passion for working with people living with dementia, especially supporting with keeping humour alive. Laughter will always be the best medicine and I thrive off seeing smiles on our resident's faces. I gained my QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care during this time. I joined Sandalwood Court in 2019 and haven't looked back. I work with a fantastic group of people and I'm proud to be part of the Sandalwood Team.

I joined Sandalwood Court as a Team Leader in 2022. After around 21 years of care experience working in various sectors and gaining NVQ 2 & 3, I found myself going back to the area I began in. From day 1 the team here at Sandalwood made me feel so welcome. I believe that if you can support someone with even the smallest things and it makes them smile then it makes me happy. Helping others makes me feel I can be part of a team and make a difference.

Job Title: Night Team Leader Joined: 2014

I joined Sandalwood Court in the position of a support worker in 2014. This was my first role in care and I quickly found that this is the career that I wanted to pursue.


Working on the nights shows you a different aspect of care that most do not get to experience. In 2015 I was promoted to Night senior and in 2020 to Night Team Leader.


I am very passionate about my role here at Sandalwood and I like to lead by example and act as a mentor to those on the night team here. I can often be heard singing along with residents at all hours of the night and as long as it makes individuals feel comforted and safe that is all that matters.


Here at Sandalwood Court, we all work together as a team, a team which I am very proud to be part of.

Linda Thompson

Job Title: Domestic Supervisor Joined: 2013

I have worked at Sandalwood Court since 2013 as part of the domestic team. I was overjoyed when I was promoted to the role of domestic supervisor in 2018.


I love my job and working with my colleagues. We are a fantastic team and we are always helping each other out. We all work together to ensure that the home is cleaned to a high standard.


We are always getting involved in different activities to brighten up our resident’s day and this can involve dressing up and getting our dancing shoes on.


I have formed some fantastic relationships over the years with residents and visitors.


I also work as a bank staff for the kitchen here and I enjoy working there too.


We are all one big happy family here and we all work together to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.


I have always been a people person and really enjoy listening to the residents talk about their own life stories.


I have really enjoyed my years working here and hope to enjoy many more.
