This is a special care home indeed! The day care staff are incredibly attentive, they are always smiling and engaging with the residents. I am always made to feel welcome whenever I visit. It's lovely to hear the use of the Welsh language within the home. It's a delightful home, which I recommend.

It is a traumatic event when someone you've lived with for 60 years has to leave home to be cared for elsewhere. So it was for me a crushing, emotion. The staff at Cartref were amazing - understanding, helpful, friendly and everything that made the place a 'home'. This has continued for the months my
wife has lived there and no praise is too high for the place and the wonderful staff.

My Mother moved into Cartref Dyfi 7 weeks ago. We have been very impressed with all aspects of this home. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The home is spotlessly clean and never smells. All the residents are consulted about how the home is run and their wishes are carried out
where possible.

Dad has been at Cartref Dyfi since end of January this year. All the staff have been really lovely and dad has settled in well. We have found all the staff to be very friendly and approachable. Everywhere is very clean.

We come 4X a year from the US to see a friends family member. The staff are amazing and always attentive. They come into the room with a smile and a kind word every time. They listen and follow through with requests/concerns/suggestions.
Just from a glance, the residents are well taken of in each

Initially by chance and then through familiarity I have become a weekly visitor at Greenhill - spending an hour or two chatting to residents. I have got to know a half dozen or so quite well over time and now regards them as friends. I like them, we have a bit of fun as we relive the past. I have always
been felt welcome by management and staff and I am constantly impressed by the effort made to ensure the well being, comfort and happiness of residents. All are treated with respect, care, compassion and kindness. A real effort in taken to stimulate and enrich lives through a range of activities, offered by enthusiastic positive staff - with a genuine attempt to include as many as possible in this.

My dad has been a resident at Greenhill for over 2 years now. The care he has recieved has been outstanding in all areas. The staff and management go above and beyond to make sure that every resident's need are taken into consideration, from personal care to activities. We as a family couldn't ask for
better care for our dad, this have given us as a family peace of mind - as he is so well looked aftered.

Having looked at a number of care homes for my Dad, Cartref was the only one my mother and I felt happy applying to. Walking into this this comfortable, homely, friendly and genuinely welcoming space was a delight and we both gave a huge sigh of relief immediately.
Thoughtfully set out and wonderfully
managed, the sense of 'home' is tangible and the 'care '- from everyone- is both apparent & hugely appreciated. The staff (all of them) are lovely, the management team knowledgable and utterly aware of all possible needs & preferences, and the activities on offer for the residents are varied, fun, enriching and inclusive at all times.
My Dad was welcomed with genuine care & warmth and has settled better than we would ever have imagined, giving US the knowledge and reassurance that we have made the best possible choice possible and that he will get everything he needs for a safe, comfortable & enriched existance.

I visited 6 care homes and I knew immediately I walked through Cartref's door that this was the one for my parents. The staff were friendly and chatting to the residents and the residents seem very happy. My mother has been here for 2.5 years and is very content indeed.

My husband moved to Cartef Care Home at the beginning of March. Preparation was very thorough and we were able to make his room welcoming with personal possessions. The staff could not have been more considerate and he has been made very comfortable. he seems to have settled in very well, is enjoying
meals and company. His walking is improving and I enjoy being able to visit frequently.

My mother Edith has been a resident at Llys Hafren for three years. I cannot fault the love and kindness given in the three years she has been there. We visit often nearly every day and always see the love given to all the resident over that time. Today we vsited and noticed my mums feet and ankles
were very swollen, i didnt have to mention this within a few minutes it was noticed by the carers. I could not believe that one of the carers immediately got down on her knees and stayed for a good 10 minutes rubbing her feet to release some of the fluid, how exceptional care is that. When i leave my mother who will be a 100 in June i have no worries at all, i know the carers go above and beyond to make the residents comfortable and most of all loved. We thankyou all carers and staff for loving the residents like their own.

Our mum is being cared for at Brynhyfryd and is in excellent hands with her caring and well being. The staff and carers are all very friendly and are giving mum the best care. Thank you.
