My brother seems happy, well-fed, looked after very well. He is settled, and often has someone keeping him company. When we visit the staff are always welcoming. It's the front line staff that make the difference. Just keep doing the same great job.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your brother is happy, settled and well cared for. Your kind words about our team mean so much, and we will share them with the staff who make such a difference every day.
As with my previous stays all was hunky dorey! I especially enjoyed the marvellous visit of Bramble the dinosaur. I ached with laughter! I'm very grateful for the use of the pub where I can read to my hearts content.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, especially Bramble the dinosaur's visit. It's wonderful to hear you are enjoying the pub as a relaxing place to read.
Mum came to Trenewydd 28th November having broken her hip. As her daughter I am extremly happy to see mum so happy after the last 7 years of struggling at home. The entire staff are brilliant nothing is to much trouble. The activities are excellent. There's always something going on. The food is vast and tastes beautiful - I stopped for New Years dinner and it was stunning. The place is always well run and the cleanliness is excellant. Appointments outside of the hospital always kept.
Your lovely comments about our staff, activities, food and cleanliness mean a great deal to us, and we'll be sure to share them with the whole team.
The staff are very friendly to both residents and visitors. My friend always seems happy and content.

I found the care home to be friendly, warm and clean. The staff were wonderful, caring people, especially the activities coordinator who has so much time and enthusiasm in supporting all the residents and visitors.
Thank you for leaving us this kind review, I will make sure to pass your feedback on to the wonderful team.
A residential home that really cares! The care staff, kitchen staff, activities co-ordinator, cleaners and office staff all cooperate to form a close-knit team who really seem to care about the residents. While visiting Christmas day, I met several members of staff who had dropped in to wish the residents Merry Christmas. These staff weren't working, they were just there because they wanted to be - this attitude says it all! I would highly recommend Trenwydd and I am grateful for all that they do. Diolch!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review - we truly appreciate it!
Our mum recently moved from Trenewydd due to her deteriorating health, but for that, she would still be a resident, as she was very happy and well cared for. We cannot thank the staff enough for all the care, love and friendship shown, not only to Mum but also to us, her family. They kept us informed of everything we needed to know, were proactive in dealing with any issues for Mum, kept her safe and well and helped us sort out a smooth move for her to her new home. The team at Trenewydd set an excellent example of what care for the vulnerable should be. Thank you.

The team at Trenewydd went out of their way to celebrate my dad's 100th birthday. One staff member went into town to purchase 100 birthday balloons to make the day special and the cook and kitchen baked a large cake. All the residents sang Happy Birthday and the trolley was sent round with cake and drinks. Thank you to all the staff for making a memorable day even better.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this wonderful review. We love making all of residents feel special on their birthdays and we are so pleased that you, your family and your dad had a great day celebrating his 100th birthday, also what an achievement! The team will be delighted to read this review.
My father was put on end-of-life care at the home and the staff were very professional in their dealings with us and they went out of their way to keep him comfortable in his last few days. It was a great comfort that we were able to visit and know that he was getting the best care. We were fully kept informed during this difficult time. My father wasn’t at Trenewydd very long, but I am so pleased that he was at this home as the staff were very friendly and accommodating during our visits and their Activity Champion went out of her way to ensure he had a good birthday back in December.
Thank you so much for leaving us a review about the care of your father. Our team will be touched to read this, thank you.
After my father was diagnosed with mixed Dementia, we experienced challenging times. I live in Scotland, whilst he lives in Wales, so long-distance caring was becoming impossible. Fortunately, we secured a respite stay in Tenewydd that changed everything. My father enjoyed the experience and asked if he could stay! This was June 2019. Together we found a safe and happy home for him and us. Dad is safe, well fed, and comfortable, with company and activities, whilst we now have peace of mind. Their professional care takes responsibility for services that give Dad his dignity and independence and us our freedom to spend this time on joyful matters. The staff in all departments and at all levels make this as personal and special as it can be. Whenever we visit or call my dad, he is happy and feels lucky to call Trenewydd his home. The progression of his dementia and well-being is now a shared responsibility. Regular communication and interventions provide services that make this time of our lives pleasant for all.
Thank you so much for leaving us this wonderful review; our team will be so pleased to read this. It is a delight to hear that you feel as though your dad is safe and comfortable here with us at Trenewydd. Your kind words will be passed on.

A very welcoming and friendly atmosphere when I visit. The residents seem happy and looked after well and I have heard some of them say how caring the staff are and what a lovely place. Many wide ranging activities and events that make the residents feel special and cater for everyone. The warm welcome extends to the opportunity to take a monthly service for residents who wish to be heard

My father visited the home in October 2023 for two weeks of respite care. His overall experience was very good and he was treated and cared for very well. He said that the food and choice were very good. We are pleased with the way the staff looked after him.

When I visit, usually monthly, I always find the staff welcoming and friendly. I observe their interactions with the residents which are always kind, cheerful and respectful. The common areas and residents' rooms are clean, bright and tidy and the residents always look very well cared for. The monthly newsletter is always full of lovely photos of residents enjoying an activity or event. It is a happy place to visit.
