My mum is so happy here, all the support team are always willing to help no matter what the situation. When we call the care home, always greeted with a welcoming smile. Nothing is too much trouble for the care team. The care home is always lovely and clean and for special occasions, they make every effort to make the day fun and inviting. Lots of activities always going on to keep residents stimulated. I have no worries about my mum.

In these worrying times, the duty of care is astounding, My husband was engaging in activities and speaking more.

Because of Covid I was unable to answer about rooms, but what I saw from the car park the rooms looked good.

My mother has been a resident for a few years, all of which has given her a safe, caring, happy environment, and enabled her to maintain a good level of independence, but also provide her with the care she requires and the company of others, which she enjoys. The staff and management do an impressive job, and Mum is impressed with them and the food, she thinks is excellent. Looking forward to more activities and outings.

I find it hard to assess as due to Covid, Trenewydd is operating in a different way to pre-Covid - visitors, activities are much more restricted. The staff I have had contact with all seem very kind, patient and empathetic. My mother tells me the food is very good.

More staff training so care is more important. Some carers aren't as kind or treat you with dignity as others.

Entertainment could be more varied - especially for those who are still quite able. A singsong would be nice. And memory poems. A simple quiz.

On behalf of the family, I would like to sincerely thank the manager and his team for the devoted care that our mum received during the last 4 years of her life. All the staff were so caring, patient and kind and made mum feel so loved and secure.

I would also like to say a big Thank You to the kitchen staff for providing refreshments and occasional meals for the family. This was much appreciated especially during the last 2 weeks of mum’s life. We were all treated with the utmost respect, sensitivity and love.

Having spent so much time at Trenewydd during the past 4 years I consider staff and residents as my friends. I will continue visiting the residents especially the ones who have no local family. I hope also to occasionally volunteer with the home's activity officers and support the monthly church services.

I would highly recommend this home.

I am generally very satisfied with the standard of care which my mother is receiving but am unable to comment on whether it offers value for money as I have no direct experience of the service provided by other similar homes in relation to their cost.

My mother moved into the care home on Friday 16th of September 2016 and the transition from hospital to care has been made very easily due to the efficient and friendly manner of all the staff. In particular, the manager and the housekeeper.

There is no better feeling than at the end of the day knowing you have helped make a difference to the lives of our residents. They make you laugh and smile constantly throughout each day.

The best thing about my job is seeing the residents smiling, happy, content and safe on a daily basis and knowing that you have helped achieve that. Running the home to the standards I would expect for my own parents and managing a great team to ensure we enable the residents to have a great quality of life with everybody being treated as individuals.

Team work is excellent at Trenewydd with every person within the team contributing to make the home function. No-one is any more important than anyone else. Everybody has their own role to play and everyone works hard with one purpose, to ensure the residents have the best at all times.

All the team have done remarkably well during the pandemic in ensuring our residents remained safe. PPE and procedures have been followed at all times and everyone has done what has been required. Everyone has played their part and everyone should be very proud of themselves.
