A purpose-built Northamptonshire care home, Lancum House cares for elderly people, some of whom suffer from dementia, all of whom benefit from a pleasant interior and surroundings, in which they have their personal freedoms and lifestyles respected.

Lancum House has en-suite bedrooms and pleasant communal areas, with residents able to make day-to-day choices between privacy and the chance to socialise with staff and other residents, as well as joining in with entertainments and activities.

Our mother has been at Lancum House for three years. We visit regularly and are always made to feel welcome.
As our mother's needs have increased, we have found the care has been increased without us having to request it.
The staff are super heroes: warm, friendly, respectful and very person
centred to each individual. They sometimes have to deal with unexpected or difficult situations but remain calm and caring. Many of the staff have worked there long term.
The home is always clean and safe. We love the layout and the garden. There are lots of well planned activities for residents to join in should they wish, with support and gentle encouragement if needed.
We have enjoyed getting to know the staff and other residents and their families during our visits.

The staff at the home have always looked after my mum well. When l have picked her up and taken her out for the day she has always been happy to return.The home is always been kept clean and tidy.The staff have always been helpful and kind .

Every caregiver I have met has left their worries at the door and has a consistently cheerful disposition even when nearing the end of their 12-hour shift. This shows me that their energy comes from true kindness, compassion and love of caring for the residents. Even when some of the residents with
dementia lash out verbally or physically, they are handled firmly but with terms of endearment like 'sweetheart', 'my love', 'my darling' as they calm the resident. A sense of ownership is given to the residents. Once, mum felt peckish at 4.30 am and went to the kitchen where she was given cornflakes! I like that although mum is encouraged to join in activities, she is never forced. When I phone from my residence in Vancouver to get on Messenger with mum, the staff stop their duties and kindly arrange it for me so I feel in constant touch with her. What most assures me that this home is best for mum is the big smile she has for each carer and the fact that she looks 20 years younger.

I have been visiting my friend for two months now, and have been more impressed with every visit. The staff are all very kind, considerate and caring towards their residents, with a warm welcome for visitors also. The home is bright, colourful and most importantly clean and well maintained. The entertainment
programme varied and interesting. I am only sorry I missed the Elvis impersonation! It is heartening to see that my dear friend is being so well cared for. Thank you to all the Staff at Lancum House.

My mother has been a resident at Lancum House for two months. From the very first visit to view the home i have really appreciated how friendly, helpful and professional everyone has been.
Mum was made to feel very welcome right from the start and is happy to call Lancum her home. Her social interaction
has improved immeasurably through her involvement with the many activities organised for the residents. She has enjoyed bingo, gardening, pizza making, cake decorating, morning exercise, choir practice, a pub visit and a variety of singers who have performed at the home and the list goes on.
After living at home on her own for so long and no longer driving, moving to Lancum, where she is in a much safer environment, with help when she needs it has given her a new lease of life and she seems much happier for it.
I have already recommended Lancum House to friends with elderly parents.

When my mum was diagnosed with dementia, it was one of the hardest times for our family. Finding a place where she would be safe, understood, and genuinely cared for felt overwhelming - until we found this care home.
From day one, I knew this was the right place. The staff are incredible. They don't
just do their jobs - they treat every resident with dignity, patience, and real kindness. My mum isn't just another name on a care plan; they've taken the time to get to know her, to understand her routines, her moods, and even the little things that make her feel more like herself.
The environment is warm and calm, and it feels like a true home. There are always activities going on to keep residents engaged, whether it's music, arts and crafts, or just a supporting her to go in the garden. But most importantly, there's genuine respect and compassion in every interaction.
I can't express how much peace of mind this place has given me. I know my mum is safe, well cared for.

A welcoming and clean atmosphere in Lancum House.
Hard working, friendly staff across all the job roles.
Delicious meals cooked onsite, enjoyed by everyone.
Various activities arranged so everyone can take part in whatever they are interested in.
The Gazette , published weekly, keeps everyone
connected and informed with whatever participation , event or activity.
The Dementia Choir is a real winner with residents and everyone else who attends! Everyone has so much fun there and a really good time!
My mum continues to be well cared for and loved by everyone at Lancum House, like she has been during the two years she has lived there. I cannot ask for anymore, so "Thank you, to each and everyone at Lancum House"

Mum has been at lancum now for about a year ,she has improved immensely,they really look after her there ,all the staff are friendly and do a brilliant job ,big thanks to one of the staff members whom my mum absolutely adores, and to two other staff members who keep them entertained always something
to do to keep them occupied ,and to all the other staff great people ,home is clean and welcoming and the staff are brilliant

Mum always looks well cared for. The staff are attentive in their care and give me regular, meaningful and personalised updates on mum's moods, wellbeing, appetite and choices. The staff take care of my Mother very well. They always put on regular activities to keep her entertained and to include her with other residents. They talk to her with respect, compassion and care.

My mum is always happy. She is always dressed well, eats very well since being at Lancum House. The staff are always happy, very friendly, caring to residents and family. The care home is clean and very well maintained. The entertainment and exercise sessions that residents receive are exceptional.
Regular updates are always given and the gazette that is provided weekly is a vital lifeline which is a helpful and reassuring tool when regular visits are not possible.

My mum has been a resident in Lancum House since 2023. Well! What can I say about Lancum the team are incredible people. They all go above and beyond to provide excellent quality care for all the residents in their care with dignity.
The house has a warm welcome feel to it. I would 100% recommend Lancum

Mum has been in this home since August 24 and we were worried Christmas would be hard for her away from family but the team were exceptional, they involved her in all crafts and made her feel like their family. The care is outstanding nothing is too much for the staff. The kitchen staff cater to everyone's
needs and are amazing would recommend this care facility for your loved ones.

Dad was a resident at Lancum for around three years, in that time he was very happy here as were the family with the help support and love he received. The staff are very nice and supportive of both the resident and family alike. There are many daily activities that residents join in with and the weekly
journal is a great way of seeing what has been happening, what events are coming up and uploading photographs for the resident to see what has been happening outside of the home.
Dad passed recently but we were pleased that he had enjoyed his time with Lancum, the staff and the many new friends he had come to know.

I have worked at Lancum House since 2011. I am the deputy manager at Lancum House.


I started at Lancum as a support worker and through great training and support have worked my way up the ladder with lots of hard work and determination. I have many years of experience in care in different roles.


Here at Lancum House, we work very hard to ensure the home is welcoming and a hive of activity. Lancum House is a bright homely place full of compassion, laughter and fulfilment.


We put our Residents at the centre of all care and make sure residents and families are involved in all aspects of care planning. We believe we are guests within the resident’s home and provide the upmost of dignity and respect.

I have worked at Lancum House since 2018, I am currently a team leader at Lancum House.


I have many years’ experience in various care roles and enjoy using my knowledge to guide and teach others. Lancum House is very special to me as I worked here years ago when I left school.


Here at Lancum, we have a great team of staff who have a wealth of experience and provide high standards of care, we succeed in providing person centred care and do our upmost to ensure wellbeing, working closely with residents and families at all times.

I have worked at Lancum House for many years and enjoyed every second of it. Over the years, care work has changed massively but the roots of it remain the same and that is making sure our lovely residents are happy and safe, here at Lancum House that is just what we do, we are like one big happy family. We have a fantastic team who go above and beyond to make people happy and content.


We have many staff that have worked here for a long time and continue to enjoy it. Lancum House is a lively warm home, we promote independence with dignity and respect, our resident’s happiness is very important to us all and we work hard to have just that.
