The care he received throughout his stay was truly exceptional -:highly professional and tailored to his own needs but also so warm and kind. I had complete confidence in the manager and staff and the treatment plan they had for him.
I was also made to feel welcome every time I visited and the atmosphere was always friendly.

I cannot thank the staff highly enough for the kindness, warmth and brilliant care they showed me
throughout my stay.
I am a village resident . It was invaluable to me to rehab locally where my wife, who does not drive at present, could visit me regularly. The admin staff helped me achieve this.
I arrived in the Cottage Wing with a serious health problem which hospital had not sorted out and the nursing staff treated this with the required urgency over a weekend.
But all the nurses and care assistants gave me excellent respectful personal care and went out of their way to help me improve my mobility , interact with other service users and even provide extra services like cutting my hair.
I shall forever be grateful to them all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that your stay in the Cottage Wing provided the support and reassurance you needed during your rehabilitation.

Recovering from a badly broken ankle at Barton Cottage couldn't have been better. Staff were exceptional - efficient, friendly, respectful and caring. Food very food - freshly cooked. Garden lovely. Visitors lounge comfy. 24 hr nursing care reassuring. I am 70 years old, fit and well apart from my ankle but other residents are not all quite so fortunate. The way the staff treat these patients is excellent. If you have any relatives or you yourself need care you will not be disappointed at Barton Cottage.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so pleased to hear you had such a positive recovery experience at Barton Cottage. Your kind words about our team, facilities and care mean a great deal, and we will be sure to share them with everyone. Wishing you continued recovery and good health.
Mum received excellent care at The Cottage Wing whilst the multi disciplinary team were working on a discharge plan. The care and nursing staff were kind and respectful of her needs. The Cottage Wing and its surroundings were calming and peaceful and didn't feel like a hospital setting. As relatives we felt mum was safe which gave us peace of mind we were made very welcome as visitors. As mum was confined to bed I think she could have been stimulated more in her social and emotional wellbeing and recovery.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're pleased to hear that your mum received excellent care and that you found The Cottage Wing to be a calm and welcoming environment. We also appreciate your comments about social and emotional stimulation, which will help us continue to improve our residents' experience.
Although initially concerned about the distance from our home we could not have wished for a better place for mom to spend the last weeks of her life. The staff were amazing and were like an extra family to mom, incredibly caring and supportive of her, always treated her with kindness, respect, dignity and friendship. This support was also extended to our family which was a great comfort in the last few weeks. We will always be grateful that The Cottage Wing at Barton were able to take mom for her palliative care giving mom and our family precious time together under their care and support. Thank you!

I have had a very pleasant stay here having had wonderful care by all the staff night and day. The nurses and care staff have gone out of their way to make sure I have been comfortable and cared for both day and night. The organisation of the home is impressive down to the every day cleanliness to the building maintenance. I was particularly impressed by the routine check of the shower systems for legionnaires disease and a check of fans etc. The staff work as a team, clearly get on well.

My Mom had a fall, broke her wrist and fractured her ankle. After spending a week in hospital she was transferred to Barton cottage. Her room was wonderful and well equipped with a tv and en suite shower room. It even had a patio door that could be opened. The care she received here was excellent, second to none. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and supportive. She progressed over several weeks from not being able to stand to walking unaided with a frame. We can't thank the staff enough and would highly recommend this place. Food was also excellent and when possible she was able to have dinner with a couple of the other residents which she really enjoyed. Thanks Again

We just wanted to say a big thanks for the wonderful care given to Greg during his time in The Cottage. From the nursing team, food operation team and the marvellous cleaning staff, everyone was so welcoming kind and attentive. It really stood out how people took the time to chat and make him feel comfortable. These small moments of kindness make a great deal. The care, friendliness and positivity made a real difference and we are truly grateful. With warm thanks, Rachael and Greg.

Room was very comfortable with bathroom attached. Carers were friendly and compassionate food was delicious. One improvement, there was little support on helping mum's mobility.

My stay at The Cottage Wing was a wonderful experience. Althouth I have been ill with a lot of pain, the care and support I have received has enabled me to get better as soon as I possibly could. The gentle encouragement afforded to me was just right and together with motivation gave me the independance to look after myself - washing and dressing. Graduation from a walking frame to a stick. Thank you Cottage Wing.

My mum was admitted to Barton Cottage Wing for palliative care following a very recent diagnosis of terminal cancer. As a family, we were all very distressed but the support and care that mum received has been exceptional. Not only did the staff care for Mum but also cared for us throughout this difficult time in our lives. The staff and management are all amazing!
