The care provided was of the highest quality by all staff. The room was a great size equiped with all of the neceseties.

The Cottage Wing was a very beautiful peaceful place. Under the circumstances, staff so professional and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. Also handled our family dynamics extremly well. Again thank you for all you did for our mother. Thanks.

I have had a very pleasant stay here having had wonderful care by all the staff night and day. The nurses and care staff have gone out of their way to make sure I have been comfortable and cared for both day and night. The organisation of the home is impressive down to the every day cleanliness to
the building maintenance. I was particularly impressed by the routine check of the shower systems for legionnaires disease and a check of fans etc. The staff work as a team, clearly get on well.

My mum had an excellent stay at Barton Cottage, all staff provided excellent care where nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was spacious and a high quality. Would highly recomend this home.

My Mom had a fall, broke her wrist and fractured her ankle. After spending a week in hospital she was transferred to Barton cottage. Her room was wonderful and well equipped with a tv and en suite shower room. It even had a patio door that could be opened. The care she received here was excellent,
second to none. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and supportive. She progressed over several weeks from not being able to stand to walking unaided with a frame. We can't thank the staff enough and would highly recommend this place. Food was also excellent and when possible she was able to have dinner with a couple of the other residents which she really enjoyed. Thanks Again

We just wanted to say a big thanks for the wonderful care given to Greg during his time in The Cottage. From the nursing team, food operation team and the marvellous cleaning staff, everyone was so welcoming kind and attentive. It really stood out how people took the time to chat and make him feel
comfortable. These small moments of kindness make a great deal. The care, friendliness and positivity made a real difference and we are truly grateful. With warm thanks, Rachael and Greg.

Room was very comfortable with bathroom attached. Carers were friendly and compassionate food was delicious. One improvement, there was little support on helping mum's mobility.

My stay at The Cottage Wing was a wonderful experience. Althouth I have been ill with a lot of pain, the care and support I have received has enabled me to get better as soon as I possibly could. The gentle encouragement afforded to me was just right and together with motivation gave me the
independance to look after myself - washing and dressing. Graduation from a walking frame to a stick. Thank you Cottage Wing.

We had to travel quite a distance to see our mum here but it was so worth it to see her in such a safe, caring and comfortable place. The staff are lovely and go over and beyond with their care & kindness. The place itself is clean and well maintained. Would thoroughly recommend.

My mother was sent here for palative care for her last weeks of life, was very happy as my mother had been in here before so we knew she would get really well looked after. Staff care for well for family members too.

My mum was admitted to Barton Cottage Wing for palliative care following a very recent diagnosis of terminal cancer. As a family, we were all very distressed but the support and care that mum received has been exceptional. Not only did the staff care for Mum but also cared for us throughout this
difficult time in our lives. The staff and management are all amazing!

When my father arrived at Barton he was immediately assessed and placed into a private room with ensuite. His care throughout has been exemplary, the care staff and nurses are very caring and kind with plenty of time to talk. The cleanliness and hygiene standards are second to none (brilliant) and
the food very good. Thank you to all of team for the care and compassion shown to my father.

A wonderful old style 'cottage hospital' with staff that have time to both care for their patients physical needs but also mental ones. They treat people with compassion and respect while looking after them and build relationships which really help. A really nice hospital wing with a team of
dedicated staff.

My mum was placed at Barton Cottage from October 24 to February 25. During her time there the care she received was exceptional, my mum was very poorly and had bed sores when she arrived at Barton, due to the care and attention she received she was a different person. No bed sores, always clean (no
smell) and the staff were confident, kind, empathetic and attentive. My mum would have loved to have stopped there.

My mum was transferred to The Cottage Wing from hospital for palliative care. My mum was only expected to last a few days but was actually at Barton Cottage for 7-8 weeks. The Cottage Wing itself is a lovely, peaceful, spotlessly clean place and the facilities for patients and relatives are
excellent. The staff are all very friendly, kind, compassionate and caring. They treat both patients and their families with care and respect. They are always willing to answer any questions regarding care. On the day of my mum's death quite a few family members were at the hospital to say goodbye. My daughter had to bring her youngest daughter with her and the staff supplied her with a box full of crafting supplies to play with. We, as a family, cannot thank the whole team of staff enough for the care and compassion shown to my wonderful mum in her last few weeks. I would highly recommend Barton Cottage to anyone.

This is an excellent care facility. The rooms are high class, meeting toileting needs, meals are ample and varied, whilst management staff are available for help and advice. The tension built up, in a NHS hospital, after a complex leg/knee operation, was soon alleviated by the caring and kind staff.
The physiotherapy is especially to be commended. The tactic to build up strength in the leg and body was a noticeable improvement on earlier experience. The approach using exercises (well-explained) was very thorough, not rushed, but a build-up to give a gradual improvement to mobility. Many thanks for your good work.

My mum has just spent 5 weeks at the Cottage Wing. If anyone reading this is going or has a family member being admitted, have no worries, they could not be in safer hands.
Visitors were welcomed (including the dog), offered drinks and kept informed at all times.
Domestic and maintenance staff
keep all areas spotlessly clean and in good repair.
Catering staff serve tasty food from a varied menu with snacks & drinks throughout the day.
Nurses are quick to respond and act upon any problems, referring to onsite GP's.
All rehab staff were excellent, achieving far more than the surgeon expected. They encouraged Mum to do more, but in a timely and safe manner.
The carers went above & beyond, always caring for Mum with dignity and respect. She was kept clean and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for them.
When leaving Mum after visiting, we never had to worry about her, as we knew she was safe and being well looked after, and that meant so much to the family.
