A very friendly and willing team, from first greeting to ongoing assistance and advice. Accommodation is of a high standard and well maintained, and any problems encountered are easily reported, and are acted upon in a very timely manner. Food and drink are of a very high standard, well presented and served in excellent quantity and well cooked, with excellent daily variation. Food and drink is always served in an excellent and friendly way, with time given by staff to assist and explain the daily menu to residents. All in all a very pleasant and excellent all round experience. I would recommend to any potential service user or their family.

The care offers to G is tender and loving and the staff are personable and smiling. The activities are well planned and fun. Whilst the rooms are a tad small they are very functional and well aired and kept clean and tidy.

Overall a very good choice.

My mum recently entered Rotherlea for assessments and was soon offered a permanent place. From the start, the staff have been absolutely amazing with her - kind, patient, and genuinely caring. She settled in far quicker than we expected and now tells us how much she loves being there. One of the biggest changes has been her social life. Instead of sitting in her flat on her own, she's now surrounded by people, joining in conversations, making new friends, and being part of a community. It's such a comfort knowing she's not isolated anymore.

The staff also go above and beyond with practical care. They arranged for her to see the optician and ensured she got the right hearing aids fitted - little things that have made a huge difference to her quality of life. As a family, we couldn't be happier with how she is being looked after. Seeing her so content, comfortable, and supported gives us real peace of mind. I can't thank the team at Rotherlea enough for the difference they've made.

Reply from Daniel Rees, Home Manager at Rotherlea

Really lovely care home, the staff are really helpful, supportive and kind. They took my dad in as emergency while I was going on holiday and he loves it there, he is safe and well looked after, hoping that following a full review he will be able to stay longer term as his care needs are increasing.

I was really nervous about Mum going into a care home but all the staff made Mums move as easy and happy as possible.
I am so impressed with the quality of care that she has had and the kindness shown by all the staff .

My Grandmother has been a resident of Rotherlea, Petworth for a year and a half and I can honestly say that the care she has had during her alzheimers journey has been faultless. The support to us as a family has also been something that we didn't realise would be so important. They care for my Grandmother as if she was their own

I was apprehensive at first. My mind was soon put to rest by the staff. Love the freedom, knowing the staff are there if needed. Would recommend to anyone needing care. The only downside for me is that it's a bit too hot. Air conditioning would be nice.

Having had an awful experience at a previous care home, we transferred my Mum to Rotherlea and the positive impact was immediate. She improved physically and mentally due to the supportive, caring attitude of the staff at Rotherlea. They regularly keep in touch and go over and above to support my Mum. They have celebrated her 'wins' by phoning me and, despite her declining health, she is treated with respect and kindness at all times. The staff at Rotherlea see their job as a vocation and nothing is too much trouble.

I consider my father very fortunate to be a resident at Rotherlea. He is elderly, frail and a little muddled, but has found happiness and a sense of safety since he arrived.
I consider all the members of the care team to be exemplary in their consideration and kindness when interacting with my father. Also, I am always informed if there has been an incident that I should know about, such as a little accident.

I feel reassured that my father could not be in a better place.

My dear Mum stayed in for nearly 3 years, within this time until her passing, she was cared for with such love and compassion. I will miss going every week, not just to visit Mum but all the staff there as well. They all became my friends, whom I will miss a lot. My heartfelt thanks goes to the managers, reception team and all the carers. Lastly, my mum enjoyed her stay there, she felt safe, which was the most important thing to me.

My husband is having 6 weeks of respite care. I'm afraid he's got to have permanent care when the 6 weeks are over. I just hope he will be able to stay. I'm sure I couldn't get a better nursing home for him to be in for the rest of his life.

I visited this care home in June and found it to be a welcoming environment for my friends and relatives. The residents appeared happy with the staff engaging with them.
The staff were more than happy to answer any questions we had.
There was a relaxed feeling in the home.
