Rotherlea

Mum has been a resident for only a couple of weeks, but we can safely say her care has been nothing short of exemplary. The management team are extremely efficient and go out of their way to keep us in the loop. Overall, we are extremely satisfied.

My husband seems very happy there. He was very agitated at home. I am greatly pleased he is in such a nice place with wonderful staff and activities. He has a routine, enjoys his food and all his health care is dealt with.

I have been so impressed with the care my dad has had at Rotherlea Care Home. The team are so kind, supportive, professional and caring for Dad since he arrived over six months ago. Dad has dementia and the team at Rotherlea have put our minds at ease with their efforts. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who has an old relative that can't manage on their own anymore.

My sister has been very well looked after during the last four months after Rotherlea took her in when another care home found her too challenging. She is much happier now as the staff have reassured her, and she feels safe, calm and "at home". Recently when her treasured necklace and bracelet were left behind at a hospital after a hip operation, one of the staff went out of her way in her own time to retrieve them for her. We are very grateful to Rotherlea, and the whole family enjoys looking at the photos of activities that are put on the Facebook page.

Always well cared for, clean in appearance. Meals are very good and always have a glass of water or other to drink by her side. Staff are always very helpful and friendly.

The staff at Rotherlea are exceptionally well trained! I am so pleased that my friend is taken care of in every manner possible. The staff there have great manners and give out great kindness and support just like the residents are their own friends. Which makes me extremely happy. The activities that are going on are great especially with this silly virus. There is still various amounts of activities going on and safely too. Very pleased with this home, and will definitely recommend this service.

Unfortunately been unable to visit Dad re covid19, but whenever we have visited, everyone has always been friendly and helpful. We are very happy with how you look after Dad.

The staff really do commit to my dad. He's very well cared for there level of care goes above and beyond and that's from the management down. we are very happy with the choice we made for him.

My mother has been a resident at Rotherlea for five years. During that time there have been many changes definitely for the better. The management team are approachable and caring and the carers are mostly excellent I feel the home has managed the situation extremely well. My mother has been well looked after throughout.

The room never clean, resident not very clean or tidy. Bathroom each time I've been in to visit dirty. Food not very good that I have seen.

Since my mother has been a resident her overall mental and physical wellbeing has improved considerably. I put this down to the care and friendliness of all the staff who have made her feel literally at home. Her room is an adequate size and she enjoys the activities and the food.

Items that need washing should be more thoroughly monitored as several items of clothing have been mislaid in the period of November to end of January when my husband has been there.

Other than that, I am very happy with the care given.

Alas, there appears to be little in the way of activities and nothing offering mental stimulation. Alongside this I recognise the difficulties in obtaining suitably qualified staff and the problems of waiting for a criminal records check.

The transition from daycare to residential care seems to have gone very smoothly.

My mother has been a resident in Rotherlea since 2014. She has her own en-suite room which contains many of her personal items, especially her beloved books. She has been treated with kindness and we are reassured that she is in a safe, caring environment where her rights as an individual are respected.
