My uncle is a resident of this facility and sees the staff and unit as home the care he receives is second to none and he wouldn't be who he is today without it well done to all and long may it continue.
Thank you for taking the team to leave us these kind words, we really appreciate it.
Excellent service, long may it carry. My brother sees the staff as part of his family and Market Lodge as his home as he tells me every time I visit. The home is a wonderful place, if I need to know anything the staff sorts it straight away.
Thank you for leaving us these kind words. We are one big family here at market Lodge and we are so happy that your brother feels at home here with us.
The staff at Market Lodge are kind and caring, my friend is very happy there. The residents are always clean and tidy. When possible they go out on trips, also they have many activities inside including zumba.
Thank you for leaving us these kind words, we are so happy your friend is happy.
My sister has had a few issues, nothing to do with the home just the way she is now and they have always kept me informed and dealt with things very professionally, I am extremely grateful to all the team and I think she is in a lovely home.

I have no doubt that Market Lodge and its caring, upbeat staff have made a huge difference to the progress we've witnessed since our family member's initial admission. Whenever we visit, it's clear that the staff have a real passion for building relationships with the residents, even suggesting ideas to improve their recovery still further.

I came here 2021. Fabulous. My room, I think is like a treasure cave. Full of surprises. Calm. Peaceful. Happy and I welcome people in. My life now is wholesome. Fun and joyful. Thank you to the manager and her crew. If you're in doubt. Come, try us out.
Thank you for this lovely review, the team will be delighted to read it.
Market Lodge has provided incredible compassionate services with constant smiles, humour and professionalism. Visiting is an absolute joy.
Good interaction between staff and patient.
Calm and harmonious with little tension.
Wide range of patient activity within the facility and outside locally.
The care my sister has received since moving to Market Lodge has been exceptional. The staff all introduced themselves, are professional and kind to both my sister and me. My sister is engaged and encouraged to participate in activities and enjoys her outings into the community, be that shopping, a walk, or a visit to the local farm.
I have received good and caring service from the staff here.
Nice room.
Feel safe.
Meals are good.
The staff are kind and caring.
I also like my room.
The staff help me to be independent and I like that.
Market Lodge provides a really caring and supportive environment for the complex care needs of my sister. Staff always act in her best interest, but are so considerate of her feelings and work hard to allow her to feel that she has control over the elements of her life that she can manage. She is treated with great patience and understanding. All the staff work hard to make Market Lodge feel like a home for my sister, from celebrating her birthday to providing stimulating trips and activities, interaction and friendly faces. I know that at Market Lodge my sister is exceedingly well looked after and cared for with kindness, compassion and skilled competence.

Meet the Team (2)

My name is Charlotte Daniels and I have been a Support Worker at Market Lodge for over 5 years.
I studied Health and Social Care for 2 years whilst at sixth form and really enjoyed it. During this time, I did some work experience within the care sector and found the work very rewarding and enjoyed building therapeutic relationships with the people I cared for.
On qualifying I spent some time working as a live-in carer, enabling someone to remain in their own home with support. I found that I was very good at helping and encouraging someone to be as independent as they could and I decided that a career in rehabilitation would be my next step.
During my time at Market Lodge, I have worked with residents to empower them as much as I can and support them in every aspect of their lives, helping them reach their goals and optimum potential. With brain injury, this is really important because sometimes people’s abilities can change on a daily basis and expecting people to achieve something every day doesn’t acknowledge how hard they find certain activities and sets them up to fail.
In a normal day at Market Lodge, I never know what is going to be around the corner. I can be celebrating a huge achievement for a resident, commiserating if the day hasn’t gone their way, helping people deal with lots of different emotions and finding the humour in our everyday lives.
We usually have a lot of fun on Market lodge but some days I will be the only motivation a resident has and I will work hard to encourage them so they begin to feel hopeful and enthusiastic again. This is one of my favourite parts of my role.

Lisa has worked for Ledbury for the last 17 years. She is committed to meeting all the needs of our residents and produces a wonderfully tempting array of food which everyone enjoys. The team uses as much fresh produce as possible and Lisa changes the menu to reflect the seasons and always provides different choices on any given day. Lisa also works closely with the nursing staff to make sure that any prescribed diets, including all texture modified diets are maintained and that the residents enjoy them, making sure that whatever the preference and taste of a resident, everyone has thoughtfully prepared and beautifully cooked food. She is passionate about the food she produces and knows how important the meals are to each resident. She is keen for feedback from staff and residents and will work hard to make sure our residents feel listened to and will incorporate their wishes in her daily routine and residents really look forward to their meals. She is well known within the home for her ample portions and very tasty cakes and will whip up a delicious feast for our birthdays, anniversaries and any celebration, be it inside the home liaising with our Activity Champion or outside the home for local or national clebrations. Lisa and her team are truly the heart of Ledbury.
