Llwyn Teg has been purpose built and designed to offer a high standard of care and accommodation. A team of friendly and experienced professionals are on hand to offer 24 hour, individual based care for short or long term needs as well as providing expert care to people who are living with dementia.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside close to the town of Llanfyllin, the home benefits from many local amenities. The landscaped garden with its patio, sensory garden and vegetable and herb patch is enjoyed by many on warmer days.

The chef gets to know each resident’s nutritional needs when they move into the home to ensure that the daily menu suits everyone’s tastes. A Nite Bite menu is available between 6.30pm and 6.30am if residents have extra food preferences.

The home arranges at least one monthly themed event which is tailored to residents’ abilities so that everyone can enjoy it. Llywyn Teg has a dedicated activity co-ordinator who arranges other regular activities for residents to benefit from such as canal trips and pampering sessions.

Llwyn Teg is always welcoming and clean. Everyone is cheerful. The lounge is nicely furnished. You get a good feeling about the home. The member of staff who arranges residents activities etc is so good and kind and aware of the needs of the residents.

My mum suffers from vascular dementia and is spending more time in bed. She is so well cared for by the staff who go out of their way to make sure she is comfortable and give her lots of loving care.


Because we visit mum all day whilst she is unwell the staff also make us feel welcome.

It's the second time I have been here to recover post-operation. Staff courteous and welcoming and anxious to be as helpful as possible. Rooms are modest but comfortable and clean. Food is tasty and appealing and I was delighted when I was able to come a second time (first time was last year).

My father was recently admitted to this care home for respite care, although this may become a more permanent stay. He is very happy here and his physical appearance has greatly improved since arriving. He has settled in well and is starting to show an interest in activities laid on by the home; a great
improvement on the isolated life that he led at home.

On entering the care home, my father in law and his family have been made to feel it's one big family at the home.

My father has had two strokes over the last 18 months and the second has left him anxious and confused. He is also blind.
He came to stay at Llwyn Teg in the middle of April and already he is much calmer.
The staff have all been most supportive and, through their understanding, his confidence has
grown, even in the two weeks he has been in residence.
We decided yesterday that he would stay at Llwyn Teg permanently and we saw him smile for the first time in over three months.
Brilliant!

Father-in-law is having all his needs met, of which was he couldn't have at our home.
We were finding it hard to observe him and meet all his needs. He is very well cared for, loves all the staff, likes his own space, of which they respect. Meals are good, very good service, well-run home. Would recommend

Llwyn Teg is homely and warm. Staff wear a smile and are available at all times. My husband has expressed only appreciation and although he is glad to be coming home after a short stay, he says he would happily return to Llwyn Teg if the time for long-term care arises. I'm grateful for the whole experience.

Pity no ensuite but no problem caused. Very happy atmosphere. I am 91, short-sighted and deaf. Carers treated me with great respect. Food better than any hotel I could afford. I was here for 1 week respite and if I return needing full-time care, I will ask to come here.

Staff very friendly indeed, nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely and plenty of it. It makes you feel like you don't want to go home, but even that is coming closer, but it's been well worth it.

Llwyn Teg, in my opinion, lives up to its name, a care home. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They have shown my mam a high level of care from the first day she went there. She feels safe and comfortable with all members of staff. They have time to listen if Mam wants to talk and are not at
all dismissive. Her room is very clean and tidy at all times and she is very proud of this when she shows us around. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for their wonderful care.

My mother has spent the last months of her life at Llwyn Teg Care Home. She was superbly welcomed and helped to settle in. Through the following months she was very happy there and loved the staff who cared for her very well - she learnt to play bingo at the age of 98 and enjoyed all the occupational
events including a trip to the seaside and holding the guinea pig. When she became ill the staff were brilliant and cared for her and her family superbly. I cannot imagine a better home for my mother- many thanks to all.

I am here to stay until my next operation. I have been looked after with care and my dignity has been respected. The staff here are wonderful and are making my stay here an enjoyable one.


Food and drink are lovely and facilities are always clean and the overall place is very well looked after.
