View Full Details of Ailsa Lodge Care HomeIt is a lovely and a home. My mother is not the easiest to deal with and the staff are being wonderful.
Great staff and care given. Nan has settled well and is now enjoying her food and drinking again. At home, alone, she was not eating or drinking.
My 100 year old mum is very happy in Ailsa Lodge. She is very well looked after and all the staff really care for her. During he recent 100th year Birthday celebrations staff went above and beyond to make it a really special day.
Everything is very satisfactory so far. He enjoys the food, especially Sunday lunch! Staff are very friendly and helpful, always considerate. So far, a very good choice of care.
What a wonderful care home Ailsa lodge is, home from home. It is a lovely caring environment to be in with terrific staff who are all very caring , compassionate and always wanting the best for every resident. Nothing is ever too much trouble & they make you feel part of their caring family too. They never hesitate to alert me of any concerns they have about my sister & they contact the medical team quickly when required and advise me that they have done so and the outcome. It is such a comforting feeling to know that my sister is happy in her home & is getting well looked after. She has been there for 2 years now & I would like to say " a very big thank you to all the staff for looking after her so well" .
My mother has been a resident for several years. Excellent care for my mother, caring staff and great facilities. There are also lots of activities to keep them occupied as much as possible. Can recommend them.
My mum is receiving an excellent level of care, support and attention at Alisa Lodge. The staff are loving and caring and go beyond and above to ensure the comfort and security of my mum's wellbeing and health. Staff are professional but also approachable and helpful. My mum is very happy there. It's a proper home from home for her. Thank you for all that you do. As Power of Attorney for my mum, this bestows on me a great weight of responsibility that I do not take lightly. The fact that my mum is receiving a high quality of living there, especially at this stage in her life, gives me great peace of mind. I would recommend Ailsa Lodge Care Home to anyone considering residential care for their loved ones.
After only a few weeks my mother-in-law was transformed. She started to put on weight and showed more interest in her environment. After six months she looked ten years younger and is so much brighter. It's a joy to see. All of this was achieved by the staff at Ailsa Lodge. They are caring and attentive and, most importantly, fun to be with. The home itself is welcoming, having a cheerful atmosphere. Relatives are welcomed and staff deal with a variety of problems. We have had both legal and health issues, all handled brilliantly by the staff. We sleep easy at night.
My father has been a resident at Ailsa Lodge for 4 years and has advanced vascular dementia. He is very well cared for by an excellent, experienced team and we have no concerns about his welfare or safety. The staff keep us updated with any health concerns and are very attentive to my father's needs and they make us so welcome when we visit. The home is located in a country setting with an enclosed garden which is lovely to walk around when the weather permits. The home is very comfortable and welcoming for residents and their visitors.
After our mum passed away, we had to look for a care home for my dad. We looked at several in the area, and all I can say is Ailsa Lodge stood out a mile. The day we went to view it, all I could say was "It doesn't smell like a care home" which is a big thing for me. My dad has been there for just over 3 months now, the transition from home was very easy, and the staff are all lovely and helpful. My dad walks about all day, and the staff never walk passed him without having a conversation. He keeps them on their toes. It is a very friendly place and we are made welcome when visiting. It's like one big family. We are so happy we picked Ailsa Lodge, it gives us the peace of mind that our dad is safe, being looked after and happy.
Excellent care and exceptional staff. My mum has been well looked after for the last five years. The surroundings are very pleasant and very clean. The staff are very informative regarding my mum's care. Situated in lovely surroundings.
In the midst of recently losing my mother and needing my father to be safe and secure in a home due to me residing at a distance the care home manager and staff made looking for care street free and provided a placement based on prioritising need, safety and security for my father. The pre-assessment was stress-free and the transition, the team made was smooth. Thank you.
My brother is amazing the home is amazing as are the staff. He settled really well and is happy.
My husband has been in this facility for two years now. His progressive Alzheimer's means he has virtually no capacity and is now immobile. The staff treat him in a caring way, and also myself and my family. The carers have a very difficult job, and I admire how they manage to keep cheerful.
I have always been happy with the care and attention my aunt has received while she has been staying in Ailsa Lodge. The staff have always been kind and caring. The place is well-maintained and clean.
My dad has been a resident of Ailsa Lodge for just over a year. I have to say the whole experience of him moving to a care home was very stressful, but the staff at Ailsa were able to put me at ease and I feel he is in good hands. From the first day I visited, there was a 'buzz' and friendly atmosphere about the place. All staff from carers to cleaners to management really do seem to provide 'care' and not just assistance to complete tasks as I experienced when my dad had care at home. It really gives peace of mind to know that he is being well looked after and there is always someone on hand if he is in any distress. My dad enjoys the bus trips that the home put on during the spring/summer period and is looking forward to these again. I would have no hesitation in recommending the care home to anyone considering it for their loved one.
Ailsa Lodge is a great care home. My dad has been there for 2 years now and has been very well cared for. The staff are all very friendly. Would recommend this care home. The activities are very good and also they take them on outings to different places. It gives myself and sister peace of mind to know that he is being well looked after.
My mum has settled in well and her needs are met. The staff are friendly and approachable when I visit and know my mum, which is important to me. The staff keep me updated with events, and I am happy I made the decision to have my mum live at Ailsa Lodge.
On entering the care home, the smell of food was quite noticeable and a good start. Then I was met by the young lady at the front desk - she was a star. If we needed or wanted anything - no problem, she was great. Management was the same, just superb. Five stars all-round.
Staff are brilliant, they do a fantastic job - (all staff in every department). Laundry is still an issue - clothes missing and residents wearing someone else's clothes. Overall, everything is good. Many thanks to all staff.
