Ailsa Lodge Care Home

Ailsa Lodge is in a lovely countryside setting with a well kept back garden. I have found the staff and management to be very pleasant and helpful. The food is good quality my sister appears to enjoy her meals, cups of tea and snacks. The caring staff treat my sister, and the other residents, with dignity and respect. There are periodic visits from musical performers, and communal singing opportunities, and my sisters personal artwork is being encouraged by staff. Our family is looking forward to the arrival of the new activities officer, which would help stimulate more activities. My overall impression is of a pleasant and caring environment for my sister. I have been in Ailsa Lodge for quite some time now, overall I am very happy with all the services and the staff here. The food is excellent and all in all I am very happy here perhaps some supervision in the lounge would be good as sometimes things can get quite heated.

I've always been impressed with Ailsa Lodge and it's homely feel. The staff are great, ask them anything they are always happy to help. Everyone here is on first name terms and I think this helps with the general feeling of Ailsa Lodge. The place is clean + tidy and nearly always smells of baking all the residents are treated with respect by all the staff

I have been astounded having experienced over five other settings with relatives. Residents are this home and management is hidden which is how it should be. Facilities and activities are limited a little by the intimacy of space, but this is how peoples “homes” are naturally. And activities are so appreciated, but family don't always know, so can't feedback. — otherwise. Simply amazing! A godsend!

My Mum has and is being impeccably cared for at Aisla Lodge. I couldn't be more happy with the care, compassion and respect that my Mum is being shown by the staff. I would recommend Ailsa Lodge to anyone who is having to make the sad decision to put a loved one into care.

My Mum has been at Ailsa Lodge since October 2025, and I have found their care of her to be exemplary. Nothing is too much for the staff, and they all seem to have a genuine regard for the residents; their patience is unending! Everything is scrupulously clean, the meals smell gorgeous, and the building is bright, airy and pleasant. They deserve every good review they get.

It is a lovely and a home. My mother is not the easiest to deal with and the staff are being wonderful.

My 100 year old mum is very happy in Ailsa Lodge. She is very well looked after and all the staff really care for her. During he recent 100th year Birthday celebrations staff went above and beyond to make it a really special day.

My mother has been a resident for several years. Excellent care for my mother, caring staff and great facilities. There are also lots of activities to keep them occupied as much as possible. Can recommend them.

As Power of Attorney for my mum, this bestows on me a great weight of responsibility that I do not take lightly. The fact that my mum is receiving a high quality of living there, especially at this stage in her life, gives me great peace of mind. My father has been a resident at Ailsa Lodge for 4 years and has advanced vascular dementia. He is very well cared for by an excellent, experienced team and we have no concerns about his welfare or safety. The staff keep us updated with any health concerns and are very attentive to my father's needs and they make us so welcome when we visit. The home is located in a country setting with an enclosed garden which is lovely to walk around when the weather permits. The home is very comfortable and welcoming for residents and their visitors.

After our mum passed away, we had to look for a care home for my dad. We looked at several in the area, and all I can say is Ailsa Lodge stood out a mile. The day we went to view it, all I could say was "It doesn't smell like a care home" which is a big thing for me. My dad has been there for just over 3 months now, the transition from home was very easy, and the staff are all lovely and helpful. My dad walks about all day, and the staff never walk passed him without having a conversation. He keeps them on their toes. It is a very friendly place and we are made welcome when visiting. It's like one big family. We are so happy we picked Ailsa Lodge, it gives us the peace of mind that our dad is safe, being looked after and happy.

Excellent care and exceptional staff. My mum has been well looked after for the last five years. The surroundings are very pleasant and very clean. The staff are very informative regarding my mum's care. Situated in lovely surroundings.
