My Mum has been at Ailsa Lodge since October 2025, and I have found their care of her to be exemplary. Nothing is too much for the staff, and they all seem to have a genuine regard for the residents; their patience is unending! Everything is scrupulously clean, the meals smell gorgeous, and the building is bright, airy and pleasant. They deserve every good review they get.

My 100 year old mum is very happy in Ailsa Lodge. She is very well looked after and all the staff really care for her. During he recent 100th year Birthday celebrations staff went above and beyond to make it a really special day.

They never hesitate to alert me of any concerns they have about my sister & they contact the medical team quickly when required and advise me that they have done so and the outcome.

My mother has been a resident for several years. Excellent care for my mother, caring staff and great facilities. There are also lots of activities to keep them occupied as much as possible. Can recommend them.

My father has been a resident at Ailsa Lodge for 4 years and has advanced vascular dementia. He is very well cared for by an excellent, experienced team and we have no concerns about his welfare or safety. The staff keep us updated with any health concerns and are very attentive to my father's needs and they make us so welcome when we visit. The home is located in a country setting with an enclosed garden which is lovely to walk around when the weather permits. The home is very comfortable and welcoming for residents and their visitors.

After our mum passed away, we had to look for a care home for my dad. We looked at several in the area, and all I can say is Ailsa Lodge stood out a mile. The day we went to view it, all I could say was "It doesn't smell like a care home" which is a big thing for me. My dad has been there for just over 3 months now, the transition from home was very easy, and the staff are all lovely and helpful. My dad walks about all day, and the staff never walk passed him without having a conversation. He keeps them on their toes. It is a very friendly place and we are made welcome when visiting. It's like one big family. We are so happy we picked Ailsa Lodge, it gives us the peace of mind that our dad is safe, being looked after and happy.

My husband has been in this facility for two years now. His progressive Alzheimer's means he has virtually no capacity and is now immobile. The staff treat him in a caring way, and also myself and my family. The carers have a very difficult job, and I admire how they manage to keep cheerful.

Ailsa Lodge is a great care home. My dad has been there for 2 years now and has been very well cared for. The staff are all very friendly. Would recommend this care home. Pauline joined the team at Ailsa Lodge in October 2021 and brings a great wealth of experience to the home. She prides herself on leading her team and providing the very best in person-centred care for all the residents.
I started my new chapter here at Ailsa Lodge in December 2023 having come from a receptionist background for many years. The staff and residents have all made me feel extremely welcome and have given me great support.
I can't wait to see what lies ahead...
I have worked in the hospitality and healthcare trade for many years starting as a domestic and working my way up to management level. I love what I do and take great pride in my work. Working with a fantastic team we make sure the residents have a clean and comfy space just like home!
Left home when I was 20, and went to Jersey to work and that is where my story starts. I have been a chef for 40 years now, working in hotels, and care homes and even having my own business. I've worked in Guernsey, Channel Islands, Aviemore before moving to Glasgow in 1987 and I must say, Ailsa Lodge is the best yet, this is my passion!!
I joined the Ailsa Lodge team in April 25 after 28 years in the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service. I have always enjoyed fixing things so looking forward to helping out as maintenance person.
