On entering the care home, the smell of food was quite noticeable and a good start. Then I was met by the young lady at the front desk - she was a star. If we needed or wanted anything - no problem, she was great.
Management was the same, just superb.

Five stars all-round.

Staff are brilliant, they do a fantastic job - (all staff in every department).
Laundry is still an issue - clothes missing and residents wearing someone else's clothes.
Overall, everything is good.

Many thanks to all staff.

I cannot thank staff enough for the care provided for my mum. Everyone within the home talks to me about my mum and from that alone I know they have taken the time to get to know my mum which in itself is very comforting. The care home is going from strength to strength and the improvement over the past year or so has been welcomed.

My mother-in-law is well cared for at Ailsa Lodge. Every member of staff I have been in contact with during my visits is genuinely caring towards residents and visitors. My mother-in-law has settled into the care home and is comfortable, which is a great comfort to all the family.

Dad is very happy living here. He had a lovely room that is cleaned daily and he enjoys the food. The staff are fantastic and go above and beyond for the residents. I am grateful for the level of care that Dad receives and would certainly recommend Ailsa Lodge Care Home.

My brother and I were very pleased with the care provided for our father in Ailsa Lodge. The manager was very helpful in providing respite care. The nursing staff were excellent and very involved with the patients. All staff were very well presented, caring and professional. The lodge was clean and modern in appearance. Overall we were very happy with the care provided and plan to use Ailsa Lodge again in the future.

The staff are simply excellent. Always ready with a smile, a warm word and good cheer - for anyone involved with or in the care home. There appears to be a genuine desire to upgrade the care and facilities of the home in order to provide a warm, caring and interesting environment for the residents. All of our comms have been dealt with in a friendly, open and professional manner. Overall, the biggest asset of Ailsa is its staff and their caring, professional manner and good humour.

Staff are friendly and professional. My mum also says she is well cared for. The food is superb and since being there my mum eats regularly and finishes her meals. That's a big improvement over being in her own home.

We have just moved our mother into Ailsa Lodge. She has come from hospital. We wanted a smaller care home and close to myself and my sister. We have been so impressed with Ailsa Lodge. Nothing has been too much trouble for the manager and the team. We have had a lovely welcome gift and a card from the team for mum. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and cheerful which means a lot to mum after a month in hospital.

I am generally happy with the care and attention my father is receiving. The staff are friendly and caring and they appear to try their best for the residents. It would help if the home was a bit easier to contact by phone and then be able to speak my dad when I can't visit.

In regards to the phones, I apologise that you have been unable to speak to your dad on occasions however we will strive to do our best to make sure your dad receives your call. The team are amazing and always on hand to help and support when required. For the first time in years, we know our brother is safe. He is treated with respect, fed better than we are and the team look after him as if he is their own family. The rooms are kept immaculate and there are lots of activities to keep everyone active. The team have also taken the time to get to know my brother and his interests which really boosts his mood and levels of interaction. Thanks for everything you do and I'm glad we were lucky enough to get him into the Ailsa Lodge Family.
