My friend of many years moved into balcarres which has been an amazing experience for her, she only has great things to share about balcarres, when visiting the staff are all so lovely and always make me feel welcome, offering tea and delicious cakes. My friend has been going on outings which she
said she really enjoys.

Both my parents have been in Balcarres since January 2023.
They are very well looked after by all the staff members.
The staff are very understanding to both my parents who have dementia.
We are kept fully informed of any issues my parents have by the staff in a timely manner.
All in all,
Balcarres is an excellent care home for my mum and dad.

I am incredibly grateful to the staff at Balcarres Care Home for the care and kindness they show my gran on a daily basis. She is treated with dignity, warmth, and genuine compassion, which gives our family great peace of mind.
The home is welcoming, clean, and feels like a true home rather than an
institution. I would highly recommend Balcarres to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved one.

Our family's experience with Balcarres has been nothing but positive. From day one, it felt like a true home, not just a care facility. The team treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect, and always take time to communicate openly with families. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the
home is clean and comfortable, and activities are thoughtfully planned. Most importantly, my loved one is happy, safe, and well cared for. I would wholeheartedly recommend Balcarres to other families.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Balcarres. From day one the staff have been absolutely amazing with my gran. They care for her with such kindness, patience, and respect, and it is so clear that they genuinely love what they do.
The staff bring real warmth and humour into her days,
alongside their care duties. They are always happy to have a laugh with her, which means the world to us as a family.
I am also kept well informed about how she is doing, and the staff are so compassionate and professional in their approach when talking about sensitive topics, which is appreciated.
Knowing my gran is safe, comfortable, and surrounded by people who treat her like family gives me complete peace of mind. I am so grateful to every single member of staff at Balcarres for the compassion, dedication, and positivity they show every day. I couldn't recommend Balcarres highly enough.

interests of their residents.

Our mum has been at Balcarres for 4 years. We wouldn't want her anywhere else. We are continually impressed with the level of care and attention, and proactive interaction. All of the staff go above and beyond - care staff, janitorial staff, kitchen staff Totally brilliant.

Our grandmother was in Balcarres for nearly 3 years & recieved the upmost care & respect. Staff were considerate to her needs & personality. When she felt upset or emotional staff were very supportive. All staff took time to get to know her & her family. When needs change staff were quick to
rectify for us & always updated us. We were very happy with the care, staff, facilities & her room was always spotless all staff treat residents as their own family.

The facility is fantastic. The staff are excellent. The care of my mother is as if it was their own parents. The food for excellent along with facilities. Always very quick to let us know how mum is. Nothing even slightly negative on the home. 10 out of 10.

My gran moved into Balcarres which has been the best decision, she is so much happier and has made friends that has been a positive impact on her welling. The manager has been a great support to my family throughout the transition. The staff are all so kind and caring. The home has a warm friendly

Our mother has recently moved into Balcarres Care Home. We have been extremely impressed by the care and kindness of the staff during the move and settling in period. The quality of care and support provided is everything we as a family could wish for. She is thriving in the environment and happy in
her new home.

From first walking into the establishment the atmosphere is second to none, warm friendly & welcoming, staff are always around and always happy to help with a smile, lovely grounds well maintained & a nice clean environment, always lots going on my relative has had a wonderful experience. I would
highly recomend Balcarres as a top place to live.

I could not be more pleased with the care that my family member has received since arrived at Balcarres Care Home.
Everything that you see reported in these reviews and elsewhere is true. Our family member is thriving and it is like they are on a permanent vacation now.

My sister who had dementia was resident for the past 5 years. She was well cared for by a caring team. Staff and management were always supportive and approachable. She had a good care plan in place. Lovely, clean environment and loved the food.
The summer months were something that family and
residents looked forward to, sitting outside under the umbrellas. Plenty of entertainment, dancing, music, keep fit.
We were not only supported as a family throughout my sister's time in the home, but when it came to her end of life care, it was exceptional, peaceful and respectful, well looked after to the very end.

My mother has only spent a short time as a resident in Balcarres Care Home, Dundee. My mother finds the home and all the staff to be extremely kind and helpful, even though she has dementia, she feels secure in Balcarres, it's as if she is living in her own home.
Her room and bathroom are cleaned
daily to a high standard, the common room and dining area are also kept to a high standard. The food is extremely nice and plenty to select from.
I always look back to the beautiful main building and gardens on my way out, after visiting my mother, happy in the knowledge that she's well cared for. It puts my mind at rest until my next visit. However, should there be any problems with my mother health or care, I am fully confident the manageress or staff member would contact me without delay.

In my professional life, I had cause to visit many care homes and my other sister is employed in a senior capacity in the care sector.
We made an informed choice to place our beloved sister in Balcarres Care
Home-we have never regretted it.
Dementia is an extremely challenging disease.
I cannot speak highly enough of the management and staff who care professionally, but more importantly, lovingly with our sister.
The home has an open-door policy for visitors and I visit at least once a week and have never witnessed anything untoward.
If you choose Balcarres for your loved one it is quite simply the best choice you can make.
