View Full Details of Westcombe Park Care HomeWe have Mum receiving good care now for over two months. The team are working hard liaising, getting to know one another and we are developing routines and methodologies that fulfill and suit my mother's needs and wants. Changes in flooring and personal care, safety equipment (alarm mat) advice regarding getting assessment for essential aid equipment to support her changing needs and safety requirements have been invaluable. We shall continue to liaise for her ever changing care needs. Thank you.
My father first arrived at Westcombe Park in October 2024. This was a major decision for the family, especially my mother. There will always be 'settling in' issues.. and yes.. we had our share! But as the months passed by, the extremely kind and knowledgeable staff, continually encouraged and helped my father to truly feel part of the 'Bigger Family', at Westcombe Park. When his birthday arrived in August, it was heartwarming to see the effort the staff had gone to, to make his day special.. He was so happy.. as were we.. Thank you all!
My father has been a resident for 13 years at Westcombe Park Nursing Home. In his time there I have found that he has always been well taken care of. The staff know him well and more importantly, he knows them well and even though he is non verbal he is able to express his feelings and what he would like and the staff can understand him.
What would we do without the care and support of all the staff at Westcombe Park. From the kitchen staff and housekeepers, events and nursing staff and the wonderful manager, they all do their very best to keep mum comfortable and safe at all times. We are so grateful mum is happy and comfortable and staff have been a wonderful support to her as well as us, through some difficult times. Thank you all.
My mother has been a resident at Westcombe Park for many years now , and we have seen a real improvement over the years. The carers work very hard to make sure she is well cared for and always happy to go the extra when requested. More recently my mum managed to attend her granddaughter's wedding and staff were happy to make sure she felt special on the big day . As always the entertainment team do an amazing job of keeping the residents stimulated with games music and theme days on a daily basis and throughout the year . Her room is always kept clean and tidy but admittedly could do with repainting and new carpet . Overall she is happy and content and very grateful to all the staff for all they do
My mother has been in the care home for almost 3 years and we have been very happy in the knowledge she is in safe hands. The care provided is great, the staff are patient and kind working in often difficult circumstances. I would and have recommend Westcombe Park care home to anyone in the same situation.
My cousin has been a resident at Westcombe Park Care Home since March 2023. She loves it there and, in her own words, she feels safe and happy. There is a friendly atmosphere and the staff are kind and caring. There is a good social calendar, with lots of activities in the lounge for the residents. Even Elvis visits every few months! We are always kept well informed about any issues with my cousin and she is very well looked after.
My Uncle has lost the use of his legs and is cared for 24 / 7 washing , feeding, wheeled to the common room and is entertained by staff or visiting singers, musicians, craft days and these are enormous distractions and take his mind off his ailments . I also can rest easy knowing that there is someone close by 24/7 to attend if he needs anything . They do regular tests on weight ad other basic counts like blood pressure etc. and review and amend diet or medication with the Doctors as required. He has a comfortable room with a bed that can be raised and lowered in multiple ways with a hand held remote and he can manage that during the day.

My husband has been a resident at the BUPA Westcombe Park Care Home for over 18 months. There was a period of adjustment for both of us. Westcombe Park staff helped us find our way. My husband's personal care has been exemplary. The recreation staff warmly welcomed him to group activities. Nothing obtrusive, just gentle coaxing. Recently I had some concerns about my husband's morning routine. The care staff were wonderful. They took time to explain why there was a change. We discussed what changes would help the schedule resume its previous pacing. We helped each other to make alterations that worked well. This type of exchange marks Westcombe Park as an A* care home. As you will see below, I view all aspects of WPCH as excellent. There are superb events provided and most care staff are good and some excellent. Food has been variable- some cooks are very good, some far from it. I have had experience of close family in care homes in the past- none of them was anywhere near to the quality of WPCH as outstanding. Please keep up the excellent work!
