All the staff are very patient with my father and to accommodate him best they can , since his change of eating routine. When ever an issue has happened with my father, the doctor or emergency services have been called promptly and we are also informed straight away.

Generally, I appreciate the standard of care provided. Having experienced other care homes - I genuinely believe that Cambridge Nursing Home is well above others. Having a relative suffering from dementia is difficult. Whilst ideally you'd love to look after them yourself, it is sometimes impossible
& that's something difficult to deal with. The standard of care I've witnessed has been high and had a personal touch. I can only ask for more engagement I.e. actually spending time talking to those suffering with dementia: they do understand even if they're unable to voice responses, and it is absolutely crucial to maintaining residents quality of life. This needs to be a constant reminder to anyone working with dementia patients.
I recently was made aware of a situation where by a dementia patient was left in a room with zero stimulation and denied privacy - whilst temporary, it should not have occurred in the first place. Dignity of residents is key. When raised, it was addressed quickly

My father Michael is currently a resident at Cambridge Nursing Home and the way he has been treated has been an amazing contrast to the home he was in prior to this, in a very positive way. The care has been really focused and the home have addressed the failings of the previous home in a
professional manner. I see the carers and nurses tending to my dad and their concerns/care do really seem genuine. But it's more than this, it's also the very caring way that myself and my sister have been treated. We are made to feel very welcome by all the staff and they fill us in with updates and chat to us about dad and his needs. But they also just chat to us in a really nice way, this means so much in what has been a tough time for us as well as dad. He is at end of life at the moment and we are really being looked after. Of special mention is Jurate, she has been amazing and is a credit to the home, who are fortunate to have her working there.

My mother went into a care home just before Covid lockdown the first care Home she was put into was not a good experience for her or us as a family. She ended up in hospital and when she came out of hospital, she went into Cambridge Nursing Home. Meryiah was our first point of call And has been a
great support to us all the time my mum has been in this care home. It's not a place where she wants to be a place.its not a place Iwould like her to be but the Cambridge Nursing Home is the best place for my mother
She's cared for she's fed well she even speaks to the staff when she doesn't speak to us as a family.. I would recommend this care home to anyone who's thinking of a care home for their parents or partners or whoever would need care.
Thank you to the staff for caring for my mum and the management team for helping me sort out some issues that we had as a family

I began visiting Cambridge Nursing Home around August '25 when a very close friend was admitted from Hospital, Romford, for Palliative End of Life Care. I was immediately struck by how pleasant and helpful all the staff were. After all, my friend and I were total strangers , but everyone made us
feel welcome and did their best to help. The office team were cheerful and welcoming and the Nurses always made time for a patient update and a chat. Likewise the Caring Team always stopped their work and had a little catch-up when I arrived to visit . I felt that all the staff tried their best to be open and positive under difficult circumstances - delivering End of Life Care- and we managed to have a joke or two along the way, together with several cups of tea !
Also, the room was always clean and tidy and appeared fresh and pleasant.
A big thank you to ALL THE TEAM at Cambridge..

I recently visited Cambridge Nursing Home and was genuinely inspired by the manager's hands-on approach to enhancing both resident and staff experiences. I found her personally installing a "Compassion" feedback board in the reception area-a small but powerful gesture that reflects a culture of
listening and care.
Walking through the corridors, I was warmly greeted by friendly staff, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and lived-in.
Importantly, the home was clean and free from unpleasant odours - challenging a persistent stereotype many of us in the care sector are working hard to change.
