My Dad was welcomed to Surrey Oaks at the beginning of September 2025. He had previously been to another care home, in order for my Mum to have some restbite back in February 25. He was meant to be there 2 weeks but really didn't settle at all. After a week my Mum and sister took him back home. My
sisters and I vowed to help Mum look after him at his house but it was apparent that we were fighting a losing battle with his deterioration with dementia. Luckily my Mums dear friend, Jill's, Mum had resided there and Jill couldn't speak highly enough of Surrey Oaks.
My, Mum, sisters and I were allowed to dress his new room prior to him viewing it. When we arrived Robert and a few staff made a real fuss of him. Praveen, the owner was also present, which was a lovely touch. Obviously, for the first few days, Dad was unsettled but got used to his new environment very soon. I genuinely wouldn't wish for him to be anywhere else now. All staff are outstanding.

One of the best care home that I have ever come across. The care and love of all the staff and management is second to none. What impressed me most is the first approach as soon as I walked in with my mother, who was seated in her wheelchair. The management and carers welcomed us with such warmth
and offered us refreshments before we even sat down to discuss the care of my dear mother. I visited many other carehomes before finding this carehome. They say that first impressions count and this was the warmest welcome we received from all at the carehome. My mother has been there for over a year now and she is so well looked after and loved by all. Seeing her this happy and comfortable, brings such joy to me and my family. The owner himself is such a simple, down to earth human being.
Putting all this in prospective, I'd recommend this carehome to anyone who is looking for good care and warmth in love and understanding by the whole team..

My husband has been a resident in Carshalton Nursing Home for nearly two years. He has always been very well cared for by the staff in Carshalton Nursing Home. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly to my family and me. They always treat their residents with respect and dignity. This gives
me peace of mind that my husband is kept safe and well. Many thanks to our unsung heroes. Keep up the good work.

My grandmother was placed at this home through the help of social services. Placement at the home was accepted due to it being within close proximity of her immediate family members and that the home would accept social service funding.
After visiting the home the first evening of her moving in
we were left with a very bad impression of the home and my grandmother was clearly very unhappy being there. The staff seemed to have problems in managing some of the challenges/aggressive behaviours some residents were displaying, we observed staff encouraging residents to sit down constantly and being told "good boy/girl " when complying with this.
When discussing our concerns with the manager the following day he seemed angry, defensive and denied some of what we had observed had occurred. We were also told to move our grandmother elsewhere immediately if we weren't happy with the home.
We did move our grandmother from the home as soon as an alternative placement could be found.
