View Full Details of St David's Care HomeThe staff are amazing, very caring and accommodating. One staff member is absolutely fantastic! She is a very kind and caring key worker. She works so hard to ensure my friend is looked after, cared for and treated with dignity.
St.David's is a very good nursing home that is in an all round continuous upgrading process( ie facilities, operational systems, modus operandi ) ever since taken over. It is amazing felling to see all these new useful developments ,even starting right at the Entrance Door into the building ! The Staff is well trained & competent in their line of duties ; they are kind and are treating the residents with dignity & respect. They are always welcoming families with a big smile when visiting. The Lead of the home is solid, is professional by background ,well experienced in this field ,dynamic and present in the premises ,on daily basis which is a good asset in managing well the home . Further more this alone goes a long way in assuring families that the home is in good hands, I personally wish them well in consolidating all the above achievements for ever more .
The review was a useful meeting with an experienced member of staff. Some problems were discussed and acted upon later. One drawback was that the staff member assumed that we had been sent the resident' s care notes but we had not received any. The meeting was frank and good natured.
I am pleased with the service in terms of emotional ,mental support and well-being support. All the staff are doing their job perfectly.the manager and his management team are looking at the needs of their residents and updating us with our residents need The medical staff are amazing .they are very punctual in administrating the required medications on time as scheduled. They are very engaged and highly committed in doing their job in a highly standard rate. Carers are very friendly and my brother is very happy with their attitude and loyalty.Having great manners and very well trained in dealing with long standing illness patients. The media or activity team are very professional in dealing with any inconvenient behavior for their residents My brother likes them . The kitchen team are also very helpful and supportive and helping me in preparing the dishes for home prepared food (I brought from home)
My mother was in palliative care at St Davids for 6 weeks and we are very grateful for the care that was provided to her and the consideration given to us as her family. Dignity and Cleanliness was impressive, a family friend who runs carehomes visited my mother and was also complimentary with cleanliness of St Davids. It was evident that my mother was well cared for and cleaned regularly with pads being changed on a regular basis. Staff were very calm and considerate to deal with which helped in our experience as a family. Further my mother took positively to the nursing and care staff. Overall site is tranquil and cosy. My mother felt at home as soon as she was admitted to St Davids.
The staff that deal with our son are absolutely superb, his needs are dealt with professionally with care.
As this has been the only home I have lived in, so I am unable to make a comparison. However, during the 7.75 years, I have been here, there is an ongoing problem with losing items in the laundry, which have my room number on.
Cheerful, competent staff and comfortable premises.
There are not enough permanent staff. There is not enough contact between me and another friend of the resident and the staff, both carers and management. We are her closest friends, family distant and far away.
Wonderful staff, caring and compassionate. Everyone is very kind and warm and looks after my father with dignity and respect.
We have found the staff really helpful and friendly, can't do enough to help. The premises are clean, and we always see people cleaning. The rooms are lovely with everything you need. The food is really nice and varied, so there is something for everyone. They have been very accommodating to our Mum's needs and to our family's visits.
My brother has been a resident of St David's for many years. I visit as often as I can as I am not from the UK. I have always found them most welcoming, and the care he receives is excellent. Staff are very helpful, and they treat him with dignity. When Covid happened in March 2020, I was worried. I couldn't visit or even travel to see him. Staff were very reassuring, provided me with weekly and sometimes twice weekly Skype calls to my brother. This allowed us to see each other at least virtually during this difficult time, which was really great. The manager provided weekly updates by email, and when I could visit in July 2021, it was wonderful to see how well he was looked after. We were both so happy to see each other again. Covid restrictions continued into 2021, and visits were limited. Staff are very kind and recognise and understand my brother's care needs. He can ring me whenever he needs to. I would certainly recommend St David's.
My mother has been a resident at St David's for two years. She suffered a brain injury and does not have mental capacity. She cannot communicate very well and is extremely vulnerable as a result. I feel the care she receives at St David's is outstanding. Despite some reliance on agency staff, many members of the St David's team have worked there for years. All staff (new and old) have been very caring, patient and kind to my mother; they know her very well and treat her with respect. Importantly, this has been consistent throughout. They are helpful and courteous to me and keep me informed of any issues or changes related to my mother's wellbeing. After years of being unsettled elsewhere, my mother is now settled, and I feel confident she is receiving the care she deserves. I am so very grateful for St David's and highly recommend it.
My friend is physically weak but mentally strong. She is known by name, treated with dignity, kept aware of what is happening with regards to management and proposed activities. She is involved with activities, which are varied and provided by staff, volunteers and visiting groups of entertainers. There is a close (but entirely optional) connection with the local Parish Church. I know two other folks here who are now mentally challenged and are well cared for. I cannot comment on value for money as we do not discuss it.
My mother has been attending daycare at St David's Home for the past few months between one and three days per week. The staff are always so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Mum loves going to St David's Home and feels very comfortable and secure there. There are a lot of varied activities during the day, and she receives lots of stimulation, socialisation and is very happy being there.
My experience of St David's Home is that the staff are caring and well trained. I also feel that they are proactive in their approach and very helpful. My sister feels comfortable, and someone is always at hand to offer assistance. The room is a fair size and bright with good light, and the grounds are also green, beautiful to look out on. Yes, I would recommend it.
I was very happy to see how he is being treated, by the team of nurses. The place looks clean, and the staff are friendly and caring.
My experience with the care home has been very good. They are so nice and helpful to my nan. They are always there for her and help her in so many ways. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a place for their loved ones to go.
My mum came into St David's at the end of January 2021. Since being here, she has received the best care here. All of the nurses and staff are always very friendly and warm. My mum has settled in really nicely, and her health has improved as well with the loving care of the wonderful nurses.
St David's continues to provide a safe and caring environment for my mother. The staff are always welcoming and extremely friendly and have the well-being of all residents at the centre of everything they do.
