My husband has been in this home for 5 months. He is a dementia patient and has settled into the home. He is happy there. He needs 1 to 1 care which is provided. The food is very good and he has a good appetite. The management and staff are very caring, treats him with respect and dignity. I am pleased he is in this home as it provides all his needs.
My relative always thought she didn't want to go into a care facility, but really liked the look of Kenbrook when she finally accepted that a move was inevitable. She now loves everything and everybody there and looks happier than she has for a long time. The staff are phenomenal, and have really taken her under their wing. She loves all the activities. She has really settled in well, so thank you one and all.
The carers and nurses go above and beyond to care for my husband. The kitchen staff are very helpful in providing the nourishment and right food he needs. This includes the laundry staff who look after the washing everyone including the entertainment coordinator, volunteers and also the chaplain are magnificent and are always there for me if I need to talk. I have made friends with residents and their families and no body is beyond reproach. The management of the home are incredible, they will do anything for you. May I say Kebrook Nursing Home is incredible. Wonderful nursing.
Having had recent bad experiences of visiting my aunt in a care home in Devon, I was anxious of being in the situation as POA, when my 2nd cousin Mabel, with double dementia, could no longer look after herself and would need 24hr care. That anxiety disappeared the minute I walked into Kenbrook Nursing Care Home. It's a welcoming environment with plenty of room, inside and outside for the various activities they run as well as quiet areas for other times. The management and staff are friendly, knowledgeable and keen to help in any situation. Mabel, before COVID, had been a sociable outgoing person and travelled to London every other day to visit the theatre, museums and her passion, art. Mabel always took a sketch book with her and would come back with stories and tales of people she'd met along the way. I thought we'd lost that Mabel but within a few weeks of Mabel entering Kenbrook, the Mabel we knew is beginning to reappear. Well done Kenbrook
The moment you walk into Kenbrook you feel a family feel . Staff whose days can be challenging are so welcoming, kind , friendly and always engaging with families and residents. Many are on first name terms with myself and my aunt as well as others who visit relatives. They are caring , empathetic and compassionate to the needs of the individuals they care for . We really appreciate the staff from managers to therapists , nurses , cooks and cleaners . Reassures me my uncle is getting the best care .
Fantastic staff. They really care about my brother's welfare. All the staff are amazing. So happy my brother is living in this care home.
The home is outstanding, staff all friendly, helpful, and make all the residents happy. Kenbrook is an excellent place.
My mother and I were blown away by Kenbrook care home, it's truly amazing. You get a warm welcome as soon as you reach the home. The staff are all amazing and take good care of their patients (our families). The patients are provided with 24 hour care, they are fed well and always look clean and presentable. The patients are also very happy, which is extremely important especially for loved ones. Kenbrook has a lovely atmosphere and you feel like you are a part of a family, Kenbrook provide families and patients with event days and the families and patients are able to form bonds. This care home is truly outstanding and would highly recommend it for those looking for care homes. Thank you Kenbrook for all you do xx
After much searching, Kenbrook Nursing Home has become my father's new home, and we couldn't be happier about it! The staff are an absolute pleasure to deal with. They're kind, polite, courteous, and are clearly loved by the residents and other staff alike. When you walk in, you feel the kindness! Then you have the chickens, the music and art rooms, the bright and welcoming atmosphere and the pretty garden spaces. Thank God for Kenbrook! They've achieved the perfect place for people to who really need a perfect place to end up. Thank you a million times xxxx
My husband has very special needs and Kenbrook has been a dream come true dealing with him. Its very difficult to let go of your loved one after 5 decades of marriage but the staff have quickly set my mind at rest and I know he is being taken good care of and is happy which is invaluable . The one to one carers , the nursing staff, the office staff and everyone e I have come into contact with have been absolutely wonderful, and the environment is such a pleasant place to be. I am very grateful and thankful that we have found a place so special.
My grandfather resided in the care home for 3 years. The staff grew fond of him as did he to them. Their kindness towards him and their understanding of his individual needs made his last few years comfortable. Importantly Kenbrook made him feel safe, which was a great comfort to us as a family. My grandad was quite a fussy/plain eater when he was at home. However when he went to Kenbrook we were surprised at how much he enjoyed eating tasty new foods. He always ate very well there which was originally one of our worries, when making the transition. In short the catering staff done a great job cooking a variety of tasty foods! From the admin team to all the medical staff there is a real sense of family within the care-home which creates a homily, happy and nurturing environment for not only the residents but for their families. This is often highlighted when events are held in the day room, they make a great effort to engage everyone during national holidays.
All I can say is the care that my father received at Kenbrook was amazing. Each and every member of staff does an outstanding job and I was desperate to get my mother into Kenbrook but she passed away before I could. My dad was old-school Sicilian and quite a difficult character but this did not phase them at all. They showed him so much kindness and respect that I will forever be grateful to them. The care that they show all the residents makes it a pleasure to spend time at Kenbrook. Thank you so much for all you did for my Father.
My mother's respite stay at Kenbrook was excellent - see below. My only concern was sharing the commode and hoist with other residents including sling for commode. On several occasions we shared a hoist with the lower floor which delayed my mum's care. Also the bathroom drain was faulty.
My mother has recently died here after a stay of over 3 years. It has been amongst the happiest years of her life. The focus is on maximising the quality of life for all residents. While staff and residents are members of all religions or none, the atmosphere is characterised by the best human qualities of kindness, friendliness, informality, inclusion and community. All residents are asked about their interests and encouraged to engage with activities that are meaningful to them. There are a range of activities from art, cooking, gardening, puzzles, learning aids and quizzes. Children from a local school visit once a week, they held a concert and outdoor meal recently. The chaplain runs service and supports all residents. There are two well-tended gardens to walk in, a conservatory, an enormous lounge that can be booked for family occasions. The staff were right there for myself and my family through my mother's final illness and death making a painful experience also joyful.
Kenbrook Wembley. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality on our visit to see my sister. We travelled from South Yorkshire and Walthamstow. Our request to have a meal with my sister was met with a welcomed ease! She ate with gusto - especially the onion-free salad, which was prepared with her in mind. This was one of a few attentions to detail that delighted us. We were escorted and checked-up upon, as an act of care. We were taken to the Fish Tank Day Room for lunch. A table was set, as if an altar. we were offered a 3-course meal with wines - at the correct temperature! The wonderful room was featured by views of the well-cared gardens, enhanced by the light from the many long windows - in addition to the fish tank! Our first visit to my sister is remembered by the relaxed and caring atmosphere, with no pressure on timing; the social stimulation of eating together, with added conversations, reminiscing, and storytelling; and, the well-being psychology of the communal gathering.
I regularly visit a former colleague (Methodist Minister) at Kenbrook. He is now confined to his bed and not in good health. From my observations, the staff care for him wonderfully (sometimes I have to leave his room while they check him over). His room and bathroom are spotless as is the rest of the building. I have left three of the boxes blank as I do not have the experience to comment.
I've visited my friend's Mother, who is now the longest resident at the home for over 20 years. That in itself says a lot about the care and attention she has received over that time. The home is very clean and welcoming. The residents always appear to be in good spirits. The staff are lovely and friendly and very accommodating. Recently, the staff helped my friend arrange a 90th Birthday party for her at the home which she absolutely loved.
We recently were invited to share our friend's 60th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed by all the staff we came in contact with and met in a room allocated to the family. It was lovely to see how caring the staff were with them showing kindness and respect. Special cakes were made in the kitchen to help celebrate the occasion. Thank you very much.
An amazing party to celebrate a 60th anniversary. Lovely speech from the manager and gifts for them along with a beautiful cake made by the home. Staff were excellent at making everything work and supporting them. Thanks to all the team for the amazing care and supporting them.
We came to celebrate the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of my cousin and his wife (both residents). It was a happy occasion despite the dementia that now affects one of them. The staff were very supportive and joined us and it was a splendid tea!
