Mum is happy here. When it comes to hospital transport, they are finding it hard to get for my mum.

From day one Orchard house staff have been wonderful. My wife and l turned up unannounced and were invited in for a cup of tea and a chat. They showed us around the home. The kitchen is clean, the rooms are spacious and light and the garden is a beautiful, peaceful place. The management helped straight away and made every effort to make my aunts move as pleasant and easy as they possibly could. Which we are grateful for. We looked at many other nursing homes but felt Orchard house was perfect for my aunt.

We visited my Aunt who moved to the nursing home recently after a cancer diagnosis. She had previously been independent, so this has been a huge change for her, and she has understandably had trouble adjusting to her new environment. But she recognises that this is a safe place for her, where they can help with pain relief, and also her future care when she deteriorates and needs palliative care. The nursing home have been so helpful in trying to help her settle in, and have been proactive in helping to resolve any issues that arise. We spoke to the very helpful deputy manager, Georgiana, during our visit (a meeting that was easy to arrange) to discuss future care planning for our Aunt, and I'm so glad we did. Also, the local GP has been regularly seeing my Aunt to help with her care. Thank you Orchard House! We know our Aunt is safe and well looked after with you.

All seems to be good for April's care, and medical needs.

The care and support is exceptional. They are treating my Aunt with dignity, giving her time and space to settle in. The staff are kind, caring and friendly. The management run the home efficiently and communication is prompt and clear. The home is spotless and the rooms are bright and airy. The menu is updated weekly with a variety of nutritional fresh food. There is onsite parking and the garden is beautiful with a summer house and canopy for shade. Orchard House Nursing Home provides a safe and secure place for my Aunt.

The home is peaceful and a home from home. My husband is settled and seems to like the staff who care for him. There have been improvements to security over the months I have been coming here. The management listened to any concerns raised when settling my husband in. He can be difficult, but they seem to take it in their stride nonetheless.

My friend was sent here to recuperate after a motorbike accident. He has been very pleased to find that the staff are kind and patient, and his care needs have been well looked after.

Our Mum was a resident at Orchard House for three and a half years and we are so thankful and grateful for the care and kindness that she received during this time. We were always greeted with a welcome smile from regular staff who we became to know and trust. They not only looked after our Mum (and our Dad for a short time) but they were always at hand to speak with myself and my sister and to reassure us, especially at difficult times. Any questions, queries or concerns that we had regarding our mum, were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the manager and the team. Our Mum passed away peacefully in a place that had become her home and where she was respected and cared for. Thank you to everyone at Orchard house - you are all truly wonderful

Orchard House has provided me with an excellent standard of essential twenty-four hour residential care which I require due to my chronic medical condition. I am very grateful to all Orchard House staff for looking after me with kindness, care, respect and dignity in my period of medical need.

I can't say how much we appreciate the care and respect given to our father. He had said he enjoyed being here with all the care and attention the staff gave him. Thank you for making his last days happy ones!

Had to make the decision not seeing home, made the right decision. Staff are wonderful and caring, lovely room.

My Mum moved into Orchard House Nursing Home in Autumn 2023 from hospital. During her hospital stay it was touch and go whether she would pull through. However, the care at Orchard House has turned this around and Mum is now almost back to the way she was before she fell ill. I do think without their care she would not still be with us. Initially she was allocated a small room but now in a lovely big airy room and she enjoys watching the comings and goings outside. She has gained weight and although eats only a little she especially enjoys the sandwiches and cakes late afternoons. Mum is a loner and prefers to stay in her room than join in activities but these are always open to her and staff always ask her if she would like to be included.

I would like to thank the staff I've engaged with while visiting my wife. She is bed bound and needs 24 hour care. I cannot praise the staff enough, from the managers, to the care staff, laundry staff and cleaners. Very busy people but they all have time to spare for any questions I may have. Also the home is very clean and tidy.

My mother in law spent 15 months at Orchard House Nursing Home. She had advanced dementia and was well cared for, her needs were met and changed when needed. Communication was excellent and the staff were incredibly caring, from the chef to the cleaning staff and management. For her family, the most important thing was knowing she was safe and cared for and we felt that completely. Her husband was supported and encouraged to participate in events, and after her sad passing everything was handled with dignity and love. For us, they were outstanding and I would reach out to them immediately when the time comes for support again.
