View Full Details of The Sidcup Care HomeMy wife has been residing here on assessment for 6 weeks. As she is immobile she requires a great deal of attention. I cannot speak highly enough of the nursing care and help from all the assistants and carers. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is so cheerful and helpful and we are so grateful.
Couldn't be happier with the care and attention given to my mother. All the nurses and carers are very good with her. Also the afternoon activities are excellent for helping her to meet with other residents.
Our first contact with Sidcup Care Home was a leaflet put through the door. Following my enquiry about respite care I was invited to visit. I came away impressed with the facilities, professionalism of the staff and all the information I needed. The only time we had any anxiety was waiting to see if there was a place when we needed full time care this was made easy by the administrative staff. Throughout her stay we could not fault the care given by nurses, carers, domestic and catering staff. At the end of her life the love and care given was just as we would have wished and the support given to us was appreciated. The last few weeks of her life were spent in a home from home. Supported and care for by very caring and professional staff.
Mum is very happy in the home. Always clean and tidy. Well fed, good choice of meals. Staff happy and very helpful. Mum is a new person. Thank you.
On the 15th of March, I hosted a family gathering here, which was unforgettable for both my guests and myself. The plan was for a buffet lunch and this proved to be superb. The lounge was suitably decorated by housekeeping staff and attracted many favourable comments from guests. This all contributed to a very memorable occasion and guests seeking diary dates for the next one!! All of this was overseen by the activities team and to them and the other staff involved, my thanks and those of my guests.
An amazing care home, staff often go above and beyond ensuring Mum is cared for to the highest level. Very happy with everything! Thank you for putting our minds at rest and for caring for Mum!
My father had Parkinsons and was on palliative care in hospital before being moved to Sidcup Nursing Home. He was always kept peaceful and comfortable. Staff came in to check on him and talk to him. Staff called his wife by her first name, and let her know about any concerns before she had to ask; afternoon tea was provided to his many visitors. When he died he was treated with great dignity, and we were helped to contact a doctor and funeral home. It made a difficult time so much more positive.
The staff at 'The Sidcup' Home were all very friendly and helpful - particularly at reception desks. My mother appeared to receive good care and her mobility was much improved after the two week's respite care following her falls. The areas which she felt could be improved were: 1 - She complained of numerous men wandering around the corridors who were not patients and felt very anxious at times because of this. 2 - Not as 'peaceful' as she'd hoped. 3 - Food was plentiful but often not very warm.
My friend only spent a week here but in that time he received such good care and nursing. All the staff I met, clinical, admin and housekeeping were professional and friendly. We were treated with respect and compassion by everyone. It is reassuring when you can leave a loved one and feel they are in safe hands. The home itself is modern and well maintained with a lovely garden and the ambience is very warm and welcoming.
It is good to see Dad so content and enjoying participating in events and activities. He enjoys his food at dinner time and has made good friends in the dining room. The staff have been excellent.
From first point of contact ie reception and management to my fathers care everybody has been so kind and so professional. I was able to go on holiday leaving my Dad in safe hands, all the staff are so happy and caring. The care home is absolutly spotless and my Dads room was super. My dad loved his stay there and its so nice to have that as a respite option. A wonderful experience for my Dad and myself a big thank you to all the team.
I have had a wonderful experience here. Everyone has been so kind to me. I have no complaints about the accommodation or the food.
My dad spent 16 months at The Sidcup Care Home before passing away in November. We took a long time to choose the right facility as we wanted to ensure my dad had the best. From the time my dad was admitted we knew we had made the right choice. Most importantly my dad felt safe and considered his lovely room his home and trust me my dad would have been vocal had he been unhappy. My dad was treated like family with dignity, respect and as an individual. Two members of night staff, made it easy for us to go home at night knowing that my dad was in the amazing hands and would cared for like we would care for him. I cannot emphasise enough how amazing the night staff were, they felt like extended family due to the kindness and compassion they showed not only to my dad but us, we will be eternally grateful to them for their exceptional caring and kindness. I want to thank everyone for the care provided to my dad during his stay.
The staff were very respectful. The food was good and the rooms were always tidy and if anybody of friends would ask me if I am satisfied where I am staying now. Why not try it yourself?
I was only here for a week of convalescence following a hernia operation. I am grateful for the high level of care I received and the kindness of all the staff. If the occasion arose, I would certainly like to come back here to be looked after. A special shout out to one member of staff, in particular, who was very kind to me.
I loved The Sidcup place and I was very fond of the garden where I spent many hours sunbathing. The facility for me in a wheelchair was excellent and the staff was ever so friendly and polite. I hope to come back next time my darling wife goes on holiday again.
Since my Mother has been accepted as a resident at The Sidcup Care Home, I have found the staff very caring and helpful. The facilities are excellent and I am very pleased that my Mother is in a secure and safe home.
My husband seems happy staying here. All the staff are very pleasant and nice. All the activities here were enjoyable and fun.
My Dad arrived at The Sidcup Care Home 18 months ago. All the staff, from reception, cleaners, management, chefs, activity ladies, carers, and nurses are so friendly, caring, and kind. Dad is well looked after and is very happy here. Dad recently celebrated his 100th Birthday. The activity ladies decorated the dining room beautifully and the chef made a lovely cake and organised food for Dad's very special celebration with family and friends. An excellent care home that we are so lucky to have found.
I have had a very pleasant experience here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing has been too much trouble. The food has, for the most part, been good and my room and the public rooms are always clean. The staff also work hard to entertain the residents with an activity every afternoon for those who might be interested. I have enjoyed my stay and would recommend The Sidcup to anyone who asks me.
