As someone with over 20 years working in the care industry i cannot fault the care ,compassion ,respect and dignity shown to our friend by the wonderful care team at Wilsmere House they are a credit to the company .
The facilities could do with improvements including bedrooms as they are old and
dated however this is irrelevant when considering the excellent specialist and person centred care our friend is provided day in and day out .

I visited my nephew in the home on his birthday & the staff had made such a fuss of him with balloons etc; They all came to wish him a Happy Birthday & it really brightened his day. Everytime I visit the staff are so kind & always have smiling faces plus they really care about their patients. The
surroundings are pleasant & nothing is too much trouble. It's peace of mind for my sister & I & we're very grateful.

Wilsmere House focuses on the dignity and health of its residents. The staff is very caring and involved, as is the management, The staff (from management, nurses, carers and maintenance staff) turnover is low and there is a lot of comraderie between them and they are always happy to help or answer
questions. Families and friends are equally dealt with dignity when they visit.

Staff are available, 24 hours a day, when I press a bell, staff attends me very quickly. Staff provides all support to me when needed. Menu is offered to me, chef is meeting with me and preparing the meal the way I like. Staff are kind, polite, and check on my wellbeing. They gave me my medication
as I will not be able to take it myself and keeping me informed about any changes in medication. Staff are helpful and dedicated, and if I ask, they will do everything.
When they do laundry, they bring it neat, clean and tidy and put in a hanger in a cupboard. I sincerely hope and wish other people who need the care to be in Wilsmere house as its best care. I recommended 10 out 10 for hospitality and care. The management is so good they listen to every query and make changes.

The staff and manager at Wilsmere always have a smile on their face. They are so caring and kind to my dad. They always listen and respond to our requests for treatment for my dad.

The care centre is efficiently managed. The staff are well trained, attentive and patient. The room is spacious enough, light and clean. My husband has established good rapport with the carers and has settled well from the first day at the centre. The nurses monitor the patient's condition well and
talk to the relatives quite often.

Friendly, caring staff. Many activities every day.
Plentiful lovely food.

I spent two weeks at Wilsmere House rehabilitating after a partial knee replacement. I could not return home after surgery because I live alone and my house has a lot of stairs. During my stay at Wilsmere, everything was taken care of very professionally and I was treated with an enormous amount of
genuine kindness by everybody. I was therefore able to fully concentrate on my physio exercises and my recovery was much quicker than expected. My other knee replacement is due in several months and I am looking forward to another two-week stay at the Wilsmere.

My brother is receiving exceptional care in the Brookshill Unit. Every single member of staff I have met have been very caring and supportive. They made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we first came to look around. The first person I met was the manager who greeted us with a smile and made
us feel at ease immediately.
Nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to help. My brother is terminally ill and it gives us great comfort knowing how well he is treated and cared for.
I can't fully put into words what a difference the care they give makes to him on a daily basis. The surroundings are lovely and feel like home.
It's always a lovely atmosphere when you come in and staff always seem happy to see you and have a chat. Couldn't ask for anything better.

A wonderful place to be in, staff are wonderful to be with, very pleasant, happy to work with. My hubby is very happy and comfortable, he is enjoying his life.

My nephew has been a resident since December 2024.
I have visited him a few times and here are my observations so far:
- Very warm and welcoming. Well-decorated and spotlessly clean.
- Staff seem to have a real spring in their step, happy and can't do enough to help.
- Nursing staff and carers
are excellent.
- Admin/Reception Manager was my first point of contact when I emailed in. She created a very favourable first impression and is solution-oriented.
- Positive culture must come from Leadership and Management teams.
Hands-down the best care home I have visited.

Very impressed with the way my mother has been cared for. The staff and management are first-class. The home is very clean and run professionally.

I just want to ensure a nurse, in particular, gets the acknowledgement she deserves. She has been an amazing nurse to my father and works with attention to detail. She is kind, compassionate and extremely caring.
We could not thank her enough for her work with my father. Although my father cannot
communicate, we have noticed he is relaxed when the nurse does his oral care.
Huge shout out to another member of staff, in particular, too - she is absolutely brilliant.
My ratings are a reflection of the home in general.

A well-organised and well-run organisation. My friend seems to be well looked after and is very happy being a resident. The entertainment is extremely good. The staff are very caring.

I cannot praise all the staff in Kenton Ward, Wilsmere House enough. They have looked after my brother for many, many years and nothing is too much for them. The ward manager is excellent (as are all the staff) and her communication skills are fantastic. She goes the extra mile to answer my queries,
even on her days off!
I have had dealings with another care home regarding another family member. On the face of it appeared to be a 5-star hotel however when it came to comparing the staff it was no contest. At the end of the day, it is all about the care and compassion of the staff and the staff in Wilsmere House have that in abundance. I should also mention the staff in the reception, the office support, and the senior management team. They have always been helpful and very professional and again are a credit to the organisation.
09 May 2024
The carers are always willing to help if further assistance is required. Friendly and welcoming although I believe they do not have the time to properly ensure each resident is comfortable every minute. Hence, they would benefit with additional staff.
