My mum went to Meppershall from hospital. We had not visited prior and it was both mum and myself first experience within a care home so we were not sure what to expect. We were both immediately welcomed and made to feel at ease. It is a very bright and spacious home and we were both pleasantly
surprised. Mum stayed for 8 weeks and I can honestly say within that short amount of time it started to feel like home, the care and kindness all of the staff given not only to my mum but myself was amazing. I was constantly kept updated with mum's treatment and any health issues and it was lovely to see my mum bond and build relationships with the staff. Everyone from the nursing/care staff, admin, entertainment and housekeeping did their upmost to make mum's stay as comfortable as possible. Personally I also found the team very supportive, and always having a smile or a wave when I visited meant so much. I can't thank Meppershall enough for looking after us, it really is a wonderful place.

My Uncle was admitted to the home in February 2025 in Bedfordshire which was a jolt to him as he lived in Kidlington Oxfordshire. It was on the advice of Social Services and the medical profession to be near relatives.
His room was one of the best, it was spatial with ensuite, chairs etc. The staff
were brilliant in settling him in.
He was a character and all the staff knew of him in a positive light. There was a connection especially when the drinks trolley came round twice a day, hot tea, three sugars and a biscuit.
The Staff were forward thinking in that they actively engaged with the residents . The staff took the residents down the local pub, I joined them on one visit and they all enjoyed themselves. They found out that my Uncle was in the RAF, National Service so they arranged a visit to Duxford. He had a passion for cars so there was a visit to Silverstone to look at the cars.
The medical team in the home were at the top of their game for the benefit of my Uncle.

Our uncle went to the home in February 2025. The family is very impressed by the care and love he experienced. That love and care extended to us too. The home took time to understand what would make him happy and took him to places including Duxford Air Museum, Silverstone, local museums and, his
favourite, shopping in Milton Keynes. All the staff contributed to his mental and physical wellbeing, and were with him at the end of his life. We are so grateful, and so pleased we chose Meppershall for our uncle.

I can't thank all the staff enough for the care and compassion they gave to my dad and our family. Dad went to New Meppershall in July'25 and they catered for all his needs. He had a lovely large room with ensuite which was kept lovely and clean. The staff were all very friendly and would always
keep the family informed about dad. I could leave dad with peace of mind knowing he was being lovingly cared for. The staff treated the residents with respect and dignity. Very sadly my dad passed away in March and fortunately we were able to keep my dad in the home at end of life which was very peaceful and dignified. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for my dad and us as a family. They supplied us with recliner chairs, quilts and pillows so we could stay with him 24/7 which gave us great comfort knowing we could be with him. They made sure dad was comfortable all of the time and even ensured we were fed and watered so we didn't need to leave.

The home is well maintained with friendly caring staff. Dad feels quite at home, he has a lovely room with his own toilet facilities.
He can relax in his room or join in with the regular organised activities, including trips out to local attractions, garden centres and shops.
Living on his own
became too challenging, he made the decision to find a care home and New Meppershall had availability at the right time. All of his needs are taken care of, the food is excellent and there is always someone around, from the medical staff and carers to the cleaners and support staff.
