New Meppershall Care Home

My 93 year old mother spent time at New Meppershall back in 2024 and following a stay in hospital in August of this year, we were very grateful that she was moved to New Meppershall once again. As a family, we were treated like old friends from the moment we arrived. Mum was met fondly by staff members who remembered her and she them. Mum's room had a view and a bird feeder right outside her window. The home was spotlessly clean and meals were excellent. Her medical needs were dealt with professionally and respectfully. We were allowed to make mum's room like her home with photos and were allowed to visit whenever we wished. This became very important to all family members as it became clear that she was approaching end of life care. The nursing team and all members of staff were excellent and kept us well informed, not only ensuring mum's welfare but also that of the family, treating all with respect, kindness and empathy during this difficult time. We are very thankful.

I have found security very good changing codes on a regularly to keep all safe

Lovely carehome with caring attentive staff. Lots of day trips for residents and plenty of enrichment activities tailored to individuals. Plenty of feedback and updates and the staff always have time to chat through care plans etc

My husband is currently receiving end of life care and words cannot express how grateful I am. From the first day the staff have been so warm, kind and helpful towards us.

Their compassion goes way and beyond basic care. They recently took us out to a near by restaurant to celebrate my husbands birthday with family and as he's in a wheelchair he needed a special car to drive us there, this was no problem for them they made it trouble free from start to finish. Another special occasion was our 61st wedding anniversary, Im actually having tears as I write this we had a special table for two balloons chocolates flowers even a photo of us which they had sought out. The staff all came to see us gave us a card signed by them all I won't forget that day.

I cannot recommend this Care Home enough they have held me together

My mum went to Meppershall from hospital. We had not visited prior and it was both mum and myself first experience within a care home so we were not sure what to expect. We were both immediately welcomed and made to feel at ease. It is a very bright and spacious home and we were both pleasantly surprised. Mum stayed for 8 weeks and I can honestly say within that short amount of time it started to feel like home, the care and kindness all of the staff given not only to my mum but myself was amazing. I was constantly kept updated with mum's treatment and any health issues and it was lovely to see my mum bond and build relationships with the staff. Everyone from the nursing/care staff, admin, entertainment and housekeeping did their upmost to make mum's stay as comfortable as possible. Personally I also found the team very supportive, and always having a smile or a wave when I visited meant so much. I can't thank Meppershall enough for looking after us, it really is a wonderful place.

The medical team in the home were at the top of their game for the benefit of my Uncle.

Our uncle went to the home in February 2025. The family is very impressed by the care and love he experienced. That love and care extended to us too. The home took time to understand what would make him happy and took him to places including Duxford Air Museum, Silverstone, local museums and, his favourite, shopping in Milton Keynes. All the staff contributed to his mental and physical wellbeing, and were with him at the end of his life. We are so grateful, and so pleased we chose Meppershall for our uncle.

I can not fault New Meppershall Care Home. The care for my husband and me was excellent.

I can't thank all the staff enough for the care and compassion they gave to my dad and our family. Dad went to New Meppershall in July'25 and they catered for all his needs. He had a lovely large room with ensuite which was kept lovely and clean. The staff were all very friendly and would always keep the family informed about dad. I could leave dad with peace of mind knowing he was being lovingly cared for. The staff treated the residents with respect and dignity. Very sadly my dad passed away in March and fortunately we were able to keep my dad in the home at end of life which was very peaceful and dignified. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for my dad and us as a family. They supplied us with recliner chairs, quilts and pillows so we could stay with him 24/7 which gave us great comfort knowing we could be with him. They made sure dad was comfortable all of the time and even ensured we were fed and watered so we didn't need to leave.

Knowing that dad is being looked after removes the worry for us, we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

Dad also enjoyed a day trip out and had a hair cut whilst he was there, which for him were just what he needed.

Absolutely amazing care home. From the day mum arrived to her last day there. They were courteous and caring, meeting everything and more we hoped for in caring for her. The staff interacted with everyone meeting each individuals need. I would highly recommend. And cannot thank them enough.

After settling in Dad was happy there, and went on several of the trips. What a great environment. Thanks all, you made a big difference to the family at a difficult time.

The food is excellent with a wide variety of savoury and sweet options. The overall home is a pleasure to visit as everyone is so friendly.

The home had meny different activities and various different foods and snacks and couldn't find fault location easy to navigate to and never any problems.

My uncle was only in New Meppershall for a short while. I was very impressed by the pleasant, helpful and kind staff who looked after him during his short stay. I was also impressed by the cleanliness and overall standards, all of which I will always remember.

My Mum was only in New Meppershall for a few weeks after being discharged from hospital for palliative care. Every aspect of the home was exceptional, the staff very caring and compassionate and always available to answer any questions. Even after her passing the staff were there for the family.
