New Meppershall Care Home

My dad recently spent some time in this tremendously helpful and accommodating home, the staff were fantastic with him. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you to everyone involved in making a very hard decision we had to make by placing him there. Much luv.

Whole home is nicely Clean and tidy, staff are always cheery and helpful. A few activities to amuse / entertain residents. Nice garden for better days. Plenty of different areas for sitting quietly or with other people. Overall a good experience.

From the very first contact with New Meppershall, our minds were put at rest by the friendly, knowledgeable and very approachable staff across the board. The nurses and carers were all fantastic, kept us updated with Dad's progress, and were kind and attentive to his needs. They were very welcoming to us as a family, knowing us all by name and being very helpful with my mum, who we took daily to spend time with dad, and who is also disabled. Nothing we asked for was ever too much trouble and my dad said there wasn't a single person he could fault. The admin staff were just as great, arranging daily papers, haircuts, chiropody, and even helping with video calls that Dad struggled with on his own, playing a part in settling him in and putting our minds at rest. The building itself is large, open, airy and spotlessly clean and decorated tastefully. We were welcome to make ourselves and Dad hot drinks at any time. Sadly had to move Dad due to the distance from home but would highly recommend it!

My father was fiercely independent and self-sufficient. That was until he mutually agreed with medical advice that it wasn't safe or in his best interests to continue living in his own home alone. It was probably the hardest decision he'd ever had to make in his life. He chose New Meppershall Care Home without any interference. He always knew what he wanted. Pre-admission contact with the admin staff was friendly, sympathetic and professional. I 1st visited him on admission day and was immediately impressed by the location, facilities and cleanliness. The attending nursing staff were totally professional, friendly, respectful and constantly checking in on him to ensure he was comfortable without being 'over fussy'. All the while his dignity was maintained. The menu is varied and high quality and there are organised activities/outings. As a visitor, I was looked after and given all the information I needed. Other visitors to him made the same comments. I would choose here for myself 10/10. Thank you all.

Visiting my father from the USA during his stay here and I was thoroughly impressed with the location, layout, and superior level of care that he was receiving from care staff and administrators. It comforts me to know that he is in good hands. The location is clean, tidy, and offers a variety of activities for the residents to participate in. The home is set facing open countryside to offer a peaceful surrounding to all that can enjoy it. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the patients are safe and comfortable in a very professional manner. My brother and I have been blessed to have been given this opportunity for our father. They welcome you with open arms and answer any questions regarding patient care openly. I would thoroughly recommend this location to anybody who is considering a care home option for their loved one.

A well-run, friendly care home, which provided for the needs of my Mum, who was in respite care following a series of falls. The home was clean, functional and safe. The food was varied and well prepared.

Dad spent his last days with New Meppershall Care Home and his care was outstanding. I would highly recommend this home with excellent facilities and amazing staff. Lovely clean rooms with countryside views.

Clean home and has very caring staff. Nothing is too much trouble and all tasks are carried out with a smile. The food is very good and well prepared and always a choice. Hairdressing and Chiropody are all on-site.

I came to New Meppershall care home on the 10th May for two weeks after a knee joint replacement and I have found the overall experience here to be excellent. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much bother for them. The rooms are cleaned daily the meals are excellent, In fact, the care here is so good that I have decided to stay an additional week.

My mother was admitted there direct from the hospital to recover after a bad fall which broke her femur. She was well cared for around the clock by the staff and enjoyed her stay. The care home is well looked after and set within a lovely village. There was also no restriction on visiting hours which really helped. She would have liked to stay longer but the very high stay cost was prohibitive.

My partner was sent to Meppershall after a short stay in hospital. I was apprehensive about how he would react but needn't have worried. The staff were amazing, from the first day he was admitted, to the day he passed. Nothing was too much trouble, his room was comfortable and clean, as was everywhere else in the home. Everyone showed him and all of us kindness and were extremely caring, and even after he passed, they contacted me to check on me. I am very grateful to everyone at Meppershall, and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you all.

We have had nothing but a first-class experience with the New Meppershall Care Home. Our elderly Aunt was in desperate need of care and a place of safety for the last two years of her long life. The staff were so personable and patient throughout and ensured she was very much treated with respect and dignity as an individual. This was so important to us and provided us with huge comfort that she was being properly looked after and loved. When our Aunt eventually passed, the staff was fantastic and ensured our handover to the funeral directors was seamless and professional, they couldn't have been more understanding and caring throughout. We as a family have had a hugely positive experience with New Meppershall Care Home and would not hesitate to recommend them to others who need care and love.

My stepfather was very well looked after for 8 weeks until he sadly passed away peacefully at the home. My mum and family were very happy and my stepfather was too while he was there. We would definitely recommend the home.

Mum went to New Meppershall Care Home at the end of August 2023 and stayed until mid-January. As a family we were initially angry and annoyed that she'd been placed here....how wrong we were! Meppershall couldn't have helped Mum more and we as a family were upset that she couldn't stay for longer. The whole team were outstanding and lovely but special thanks to three members of staff in particular and the manager. Mum's now moved closer to her own home in another location and seems to have settled in quickly but our family couldn't recommend Meppershall enough for the care they gave mum. We'll definitely keep in touch!

There were plenty of activities for the residents. While she was there, she was visited by two small ‘trick/treaters’ giving out sweets, she watched some fireworks, there were weekly visits from a therapy dog, a pantomime, carol singing with children from a local school, and an entertainer who sang Christmas songs.

Everywhere is very clean but not clinical. There is always staff around to help and assist with any queries/requests.

Ever since my mother moved to New Meppershall Care Home I have found everybody very helpful and caring. I am very glad I picked Meppershall to look after her.

Without exception, all the staff were polite, friendly, always available to help and showed empathy, which was very comforting during the stay.

My father-in-law was cared for well and comfortably while his broken collar bone healed. The staff were polite and friendly and kept us well informed of his progress. The home was clean and well-presented.

It was a confusing time for Mum after her stay in hospital and all the staff did their utmost to make her feel welcome and we know she was very well cared for. As a family, we’re all very grateful - thank you.
