New Meppershall care home came under new management in June 2015, and they have been absolutely delighted with the response to their re-launch of the home and the launch of their cutting-edge, purpose-built dementia wing.

Each resident has the luxury of living in a newly refurbished building with delightful landscaped gardens nestled in the beautiful countryside. New Meppershall is a wonderful, tranquil building set in a truly unique environment.

I would recommend New Meppershall Care Home to anyone whos looking for care for their loved ones. All the staff from management to cleaners is helpful, caring and friendly. The security of residents is very good. Fire drills and alarms work with all fire doors working correctly. Having experienced one

I have both my aunt and uncle at New Meppershall, both having Dementia to varying degrees, my aunt also has mobility issues and is currently not able to walk. My aunt has been living in Daffodil House at New Meppershall since December 2019. She is well looked after and the staff go above and beyond to meet her needs, which are becoming more complex. I think one of the biggest benefits of the home is that you will normally see the same staff members, which
gives it more of a family environment and also means that the staff are aware of how my aunt should be cared for. As a family member, I am kept fully updated on any changes or concerns which has been really important through Covid lockdowns. This is a brilliant care home and prior to Covid they had a variety of activities to engage the residents and I can see that they are trying to get back to this without putting the residents at risk. After a poor experience of care homes with another family member, Daffodil House has shown what a wonderful home can be had when independent living is no longer viable.

My mother came to New Meppershall for an assessment following a stay in hospital in July. It was clear to us that she really couldn't care for herself any longer at home and needed 24 hour care. She had the opportunity of a permanent place at New Meppershall and we Jumped at the chance as we were impressed
with the care and support from the staff. We haven't looked back. Every single member of staff (whatever their role) is very friendly, welcoming and patient with the residents. We are contacted whenever necessary and feel we are kept informed about issues that crop up. My mother seems very content here.

Mum moved into New Meppershall (Daffodil Unit) in February 2022 due to her dementia getting worse. She settled in quickly and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Any questions/queries are always dealt with promptly and we are given regular updates on mum. It's lovely to see photos of Mum joining
in with the activities and we are able to relax knowing that she is being well cared for. I would definitely recommend this Care Home.

My husband has only been in this care home for a week, having spent the previous five months between hospitals and a care home, during that 5 months he lost about two stone in weight and was confined to bed or a wheelchair due to the possibility of falls. Just prior to his admission to New Meppershall,
the source of his problems was finally diagnosed in hospital and treated, but he was left extremely weak and listless. He has made significant strides in his recovery here, becoming mentally alert and aware of his surroundings, and even stated that 'the staff here are ever so nice....'. That is such a comfort when you cannot be there frequently, and he appears also to have begun the long road towards regaining some mobility, which was fine five months ago before all his admissions and changes of environment. I have yet to see an unhappy looking staff member - all greet you with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Cannot thank the staff enough for making the home so welcoming.

New Meppershall Care Home was friendly efficient and very caring to my Aunt.
Nothing was too much trouble for them.
They were professional in their care as well as friendly and compassionate.
They made visiting easy with nice lounge areas for friends and family with tea and coffee facilities. Lovely
for me as I live 300 miles away. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My mother was admitted to Meppershall from hospital having had a fall at home, fracturing her hip. Mum has several health issues: almost blind, dementia, arthritis and her recent fracture. The staff have been lovely from the start - kept us informed of what was happening, very aware of Mum's care needs
and have met these very well. Mum has been very happy, peaceful and settled at Meppershall - it's only because of a placement which is next door to my father's home that she is moving on. Thank you to everyone at New Meppershall.

My father has Alzheimer's Disease and Vascular Dementia, and has been a resident at the New Meppershall Care Home (Daffodil Unit) for almost two years. During this time, he has been looked after with loving care and has been treated with dignity. He has a one-to-one carer with him during the day and,
as this tends to be the same person, it means that if there is any change in my father's mental or physical state, this is noticed immediately. The staff at the home are very helpful, caring and friendly. Any issues are communicated to our family very promptly, which is greatly appreciated. They have accommodated visits throughout the lockdown, which has helped my father's mental health. This has also helped my mother's mental health, as she has been allowed to visit my father on regular occasions. The communal areas of the home and my father's room are always clean. The staff go the extra mile to ensure that everyone is looked after really well and all special occasions are celebrated.

My father went in last year on respite for 6 weeks. The staff all made him feel part of the home.
After the 6 weeks was up he stayed on in the home. He loves all the staff they are very caring and listen to each person's needs.

I have been so pleased with the care my mother has received in the last 20 months at New Meppershall. The staff are absolutely wonderful and any issues are communicated promptly and with compassion.
Mum has dementia and has settled really well into Daffodil House - the dementia unit. Her room is
absolutely immaculate and every time I visit she loves to explain how comfortable and spacious her room is. Mum was very house-proud before dementia became severe, and she is always full of praise for how clean her room is. The En Suite shower room is spacious and always immaculate.
Mum always praises the standard of the food and is well cared for.
I am very pleased to see New Meppershall now has a good rating for its care. Totally deserved in my opinion.

We took Mum for respite in March 2022. She was made very welcome and they have nursed her back to health. All the staff have been welcoming when we visit, despite Covid restrictions. Any questions we have raised have always been responded to quickly and updates on Mum with regard to her health and
well being has been so helpful to us. The staff have shown great care and consideration. Mum will soon become a permanent resident and we are confident in the care she will receive, knowing they will give her guidance, and encouragement and she will be safe. Thank you to everyone involved.

The service is and has always been excellent. Both parents were cared for together in the home within the dementia unit. The whole process was new to me from application to handling their passing. The team helped me at every step and supported them as a couple where ever possible, providing as close
to normal daily life as possible.
During events that required additional medical intervention, they would take the necessary steps without hesitation, most of the time, the reply to my question of, "Ok what do you need me to do?", the reply was, "We are just calling to let you know, you don't need to do anything".
Even during the challenge of COVID, they quickly put systems in place to maintain contact and as rules became more flexible, the team provided and adapted facilities to accommodate more interaction.
Team members took the time to find out personal and historical family information to help them celebrate their past memories.

My dad was transferred to New Meppershall in April for end of life care. I can honestly say this care home is amazing. They are extremely thorough, extremely clean, the rooms are great, great facilities, the staff are on it, from the nursing to the carers.


Meppershall has shown they are far more

superior in every way. The care plan is way above the previous standard. The nurse is exemplary in the care of my father's wounds and I am given regular updates with regards to my dad's health and treatment. The home treats my dad as if he is one of their family and they spoil him with regular visits to check on him even if it is not in the care plan or for a cup of tea, they just look out for everyone. Dad has regular cups of tea and desserts in-between meal times. I have also seen carers go to a resident letting them know their favourite programs is on.


Their review percentage needs to be changed, it is far too low. I can not fault Meppershall in any way.

Outstanding care given by all the team at New Meppershall, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Dad was there for assessment and has moved to a nearer home but had it been nearer to me I would have no hesitation in having Meppershall look after dad as they treat everyone as a family member. The care
given is so personal you couldn't wish for a safer and more positive place for your parent to go to, if they cannot be with you. Thanks for all the care and attention the team has given dad.

Excellent all-round care. The previous care home injured my father after three weeks of end of life care. He was always cold and bent up at the end of a foot of the bed on creased and rumpled sheets. New Meppershall genuinely care about their residents, dad is always comfy, secure and laying correctly.
He is very well cared for, would highly recommend.
