New Meppershall Care Home

Can’t thank everybody enough for their kindness and help during a very difficult time. They are always professional in their approach, but more importantly, they are always thoughtful to my mother and all the family.

My mum was really well cared for and happy, she particularly enjoyed the social interaction and was never left alone. We always felt very welcome too. The staff and carers are so kind and friendly. She spent time at New Meppershall for a few weeks of convalescence after hospital.

My mother was admitted from hospital to New Meppershall with both nursing and dementia care needs. From the moment she arrived the team couldn’t have done any more than they did to ensure she was as comfortable and cared for as possible and this is mirrored with the way visiting family are welcomed and kept up to date. Their professionalism, caring and attention to detail whilst retaining a feeling of family and community is second to none. It was an anxious time for us as a family when mum was admitted to a home. But our concerns immediately disappeared when we met everyone and saw how warmly mum was welcomed and settling in. It is impossible to thank or praise the team at New Meppershall enough.

Overall, I am very happy with the care she receives. There have been no issues which have caused me concern.

My mother and father moved into the New Meppershall Care Home in December 2014. Sadly, my father passed away there in 2015 aged ninety-eight, but my mother is still there. I have been very happy with the nursing and care that they have both received, so much so that I moved my aunt into the care home in January 2020. My aunt is now one hundred years old and my mother will be ninety-seven next month. They have been well looked after and have both been very happy there.

A personalized care plan was written very quickly and the staff use this to provide a very professional and personal service.

Mum has been in the home for 2 months, following a major stroke, whilst also suffering with Alzheimer's. The family have been delighted with the care mum has received - so much better than when she was in hospital. The staff are always friendly and happy to answer questions about her care, and she is always clean, happy and cared for when we visit. Her complex needs are always met with a smile and we have total confidence in the care and attention she is receiving. She has a lovely room looking over the garden, and I cannot thank the staff enough for everything they are doing. It is clear how much they value their work - the rooms are thoroughly cleaned every day and mum is always treated with the utmost dignity and respect, whether they are feeding, cleaning, changing her or just popping in to say hello.

All the staff go above and beyond, the lady is wonderful in the office and I find her so approachable at all times. They have really helped in a very difficult situation. Thank you.

I have found every member of staff to be friendly, professional and committed to all the residents - they are all fully deserving of the title of Carer. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and I am extremely pleased with the way they care for my husband’s every need - and how they look after me too.

More recently I have been dealing with the lady in Daffodil and she has always been very helpful with any concerns that I have had.

Mum has been at New Meppershall Care Home full-time since just before lockdown. For much of that time, Covid has restricted our visiting. However, my brothers and I have never been concerned for her safety and well-being. The manager and her staff have been brilliant and have always done everything they can to make Mum's life fun and interesting. In particular, their social media page helps keep us connected with her day to day activities, from Easter bonnet creation to visits from shetland ponies and Buddy the dog and even trips to the seaside and Christmas shopping.

Mum has been here for twelve months now and the staff have been incredibly caring and professional. Due to mum's illness she can be difficult at times but everyone goes out of their way to make her feel safe and secure. The rooms are lovely and the standards of cleanliness are very high.

My grandmother recently became a resident at this beautiful care home where the staff are just godsends. You can just see the care they give is beyond what you would ask for and means more to them than just a job. Thank you sincerely for everything!

Meppershall Care Home is truly a fabulous place. My mother is absolutely happy there, the happiest I have seen her in a while; she feels safe, which is paramount for her needs, the staff are superb, delivering the patience and kindness that she needs, and the hygiene is spotless! I love the updates on Facebook showing different activities and events, and recently they have shetland ponies, which my mother really loved.

My father and I attended their Christmas party and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I could tell the staff cared very deeply about creating a positive atmosphere for the residents and I felt that my father enjoyed being there. They were also keen on taking him on outings and running through a number of activities with him to keep him engaged. Unfortunately, at that point, my father had to be relocated to be closer to my mother in Luton but given the choice, we would have loved for him to have stayed. He was in and out of care homes frequently over the past two years and I can honestly say this was the best one so far. Thank you to all the staff who made him feel welcome and please keep doing what you're doing, because you're doing it well!

My father-in-law has been a resident in New Meppershall Care Home for over a year now and my husband and I cannot praise the staff enough. The care and attention given to my father-in-law is second to none and we would not hesitate to recommend this home to friends and other family members.

My mother was recently at New Meppershall Care Home and I must say the way she was cared for was nothing short of brilliant, from the moment she arrived she was very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. The facilities are all first class, she often said how good the food was. The room she had was lovely. I can't thank the staff enough for what they did for her and the way they treated her was brilliant.
