New Meppershall care home came under new management in June 2015, and they have been absolutely delighted with the response to their re-launch of the home and the launch of their cutting-edge, purpose-built dementia wing.

Each resident has the luxury of living in a newly refurbished building with delightful landscaped gardens nestled in the beautiful countryside. New Meppershall is a wonderful, tranquil building set in a truly unique environment.

It has been carefully refurbished to the highest standards and residents can look forward to the very best care, in the most peaceful of surroundings.

The service is and has always been excellent. Both parents were cared for together in the home within the dementia unit. The whole process was new to me from application to handling their passing. The team helped me at every step and supported them as a couple where ever possible, providing as close
to normal daily life as possible.
During events that required additional medical intervention, they would take the necessary steps without hesitation, most of the time, the reply to my question of, "Ok what do you need me to do?", the reply was, "We are just calling to let you know, you don't need to do anything".
Even during the challenge of COVID, they quickly put systems in place to maintain contact and as rules became more flexible, the team provided and adapted facilities to accommodate more interaction.
Team members took the time to find out personal and historical family information to help them celebrate their past memories.

My dad was transferred to New Meppershall in April for end of life care. I can honestly say this care home is amazing. They are extremely thorough, extremely clean, the rooms are great, great facilities, the staff are on it, from the nursing to the carers.


Meppershall has shown they are far more

superior in every way. The care plan is way above the previous standard. The nurse is exemplary in the care of my father's wounds and I am given regular updates with regards to my dad's health and treatment. The home treats my dad as if he is one of their family and they spoil him with regular visits to check on him even if it is not in the care plan or for a cup of tea, they just look out for everyone. Dad has regular cups of tea and desserts in-between meal times. I have also seen carers go to a resident letting them know their favourite programs is on.


Their review percentage needs to be changed, it is far too low. I can not fault Meppershall in any way.

Outstanding care given by all the team at New Meppershall, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Dad was there for assessment and has moved to a nearer home but had it been nearer to me I would have no hesitation in having Meppershall look after dad as they treat everyone as a family member. The care
given is so personal you couldn't wish for a safer and more positive place for your parent to go to, if they cannot be with you. Thanks for all the care and attention the team has given dad.

Excellent all-round care. The previous care home injured my father after three weeks of end of life care. He was always cold and bent up at the end of a foot of the bed on creased and rumpled sheets. New Meppershall genuinely care about their residents, dad is always comfy, secure and laying correctly.
He is very well cared for, would highly recommend.

The staff at this care home are really lovely. They kept nan topped up on pain relief so she wasn't in pain and kept us topped up with drinks and food even when we were there towards the end of the night. They decorated the home for nan's 100th birthday and got her a cake as well, which they came in
with candles singing happy birthday to her. Also sang happy birthday for my mum's 70th birthday which was lovely. The meals are lovely there. Thanks so much to all the staff.

My mother was taken to the home at the end of January for an end of life stay and she was there for almost 4 weeks. The care she received was unbelievable. I was able to visit every day and was always made very welcome. I got to know the staff very well and I have so much admiration for all of them
because they did their absolute best to make my mothers stay as comfortable as possible.

I have visited a very good friend of mine on 2 occasions now. I have found all the staff extremely friendly and caring, going that extra mile, nothing is too much trouble. After a difficult start for my father, who was very poorly when he arrived, we cannot thank the staff enough for the care and support they gave both him and the family during his stay at New Meppershall. Their empathy, understanding and professionalism made his last few months so much more bearable
as he battled his cancer.

This care home was only responsible for my mother-in-law for a month as she deteriorated quickly and needed palliative care. They did really well on keeping me informed and were ahead of the game with ordering meds for the syringe driver for example. They knew what they were doing at vast contrast to
the other home my M-I-L had been in. This meant I could relax and know that they were on it! When someone is dying some dignity is a must and they offered this as what was obviously their standard care and I would know as I am a nurse! I am so pleased she ended up here and my only regret is that I could not move her sooner because of covid! A very big thank you to all the staff you are all much appreciated by our family.

Dad was cared for at New Meppershall for five and a half years and we were very happy with the consistently good care he received. The staff are amazing - hard working and very caring. In Dad's last days it felt like they were our extended family, caring for us as well as Dad. We can’t thank them enough

It was a great comfort to us to see what care and affection my mother received from the carers, nurses and office staff at New Meppershall. They also had time to listen to us as well when we needed to offload some of the stress that had built up prior to getting mum into the home. I cannot thank everyone
enough for their care and professionalism.
I know mum enjoyed the many and varied activities laid on. It was great to be able to see the pictures on the private social media page of her smiling and enjoying herself.

My Mother was transferred here after her previous care home went out of business. Well, they say blessings come in many packages. From day one my mother and all members of the family were treated with nothing but kindness, care and consideration for all our needs.
The rooms are well decorated and
well equipped for each persons needs and requirements.
My father visited my mother daily and was equally cared for, with refreshments and a cooked lunch if he required one. New Meppershall, is a well run, very clean and active place to be a resident in, if I ever needed nursing care, here would be my first choice.

I am very satisfied with the care both day and night. The staff are excellent and very caring. The home is well kept and clean and tidy. The staff at Meppershall demonstrates acts of love each day in caring for and keeping the residents happy and engaged. This is especially poignant since my uncle who lives there, has no living relatives in the UK and we are so far away. Yet, through social media, we are able to see and participate in
the daily activities between residents and staff. Our uncle recently celebrated his 92nd birthday and we were part of the celebrations via a video phone call; as if we were right there face to face. Meppershell far exceeded our expectations. Keep up the good work!

This is the first time we have used this care home, and certainly wished we had found it before. My husband really enjoyed his stay and is happy to go back for his respite. Staff excellent, food excellent, very clean and nothing is too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend.

My wife was transferred to this care home from hospital in a very poorly and confused condition. The staff were very understanding and respectful. Due to the long battle she had endured she, unfortunately, was only at this care home from Friday to the following Wednesday when she passed away. In the
time she was there all members of staff were considerate, respectful, helpful and compassionate, not only toward my wife but to myself and other family members when visiting. Even at my wife's funeral, a member of staff attended to pay her respects.
