I just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff that took the time to decorate my mum's room for her Birthday today. I was there last week but had to fly home to Spain on Friday and was so pleased to talk to both my mum and dad today to be told she had had a lovely day and had balloons put up
and had been fussed over for her birthday. She sounded really happy. Again a huge thank you for being so kind to both of them you all do a fantastic job and I am so relieved that they are there together being so well looked after xx

Mostly pretty good. The staff seem friendly; however, the lack of communication has hindered the experience. I am LPA, so I should be informed, so things like Mum's washing issue (where I had to take clothes home), lack of clothing (due to lost/misplaced LABELLED items or clothes they decided she
refused to wear) have led to Mum being left in bed all day?!
Most of the time she seems happy, her room can be a mess at times with items knocked off/over, but generally ok standard. Could do with a dust.

My relative has been at Hazlemere Lodge for nearly 18 months. I feel she is very well cared for and as content as she could be. The staff are sensible, patient and kind. They communicate well with me.

Having had to move Mum from a place she had been in for 4 years, we thought it would be very traumatic, but with the lovely help and kindness from all the staff at Hazlemere Lodge. The move went well and now Mum is settled in and very happy. The staff are great and cannot do enough to assist
whenever necessary. Would not hesitate in recommending Hazlemere Lodge.

Mum passed away in February after being in Hazelmere Lodge Care Home for just under a year. She was kept comfortable, clean, and free from pain. She was treated with care, compassion, and dignity. The room was kept clean. Couldn’t have wished for better care. If I asked anything about Mum's health I
was always answered and was never made to feel a nuisance. Well done to everyone who looked after Mum. I would certainly recommend this care home!

Staff great but find they do only what is necessary, i.e. a little conversation with patients would be good. They state entertainment, to my knowledge none. The garden needs a little attention, in fact, a lot of attention. The entrance is very untidy and cold.

I can highly recommend Hazlemere Lodge. All the staff are very caring and attentive to all the resident's needs.
The staff are very accommodating to our needs and they truly want the best for all the residents.

So impressed with the care, kindness, empathy and patience shown by all the staff involved in the care of my mum. Moving in and settling was a very traumatic time both for Mum and the family. But Hazlemere Lodge Care Home surpassed anything we could have wished for in their care of us all. Mum is
now settled and happy in her new life. Thank you!

My aunt has been at Hazlemere Lodge for over five years and I have been visiting her for the last 16 months. The staff at Hazlemere Lodge have always kept me well informed and also asked my views in planning her care.
Recently my aunt has been extremely unwell and the staff on the Ashwell Unit took
exceptional care of her. It was my aunt's wish not to go to hospital and staff respected this making sure that she received the medical care that she needed and had the medications when she needed them.
All of the staff team, whatever their role, showed care and compassion to my aunt despite the fact that she can sometimes display difficult behaviours. I was allowed to visit at any time and was always made to feel very welcome when I visited.
Thanks for the care shown to my aunt by the staff team at Hazlemere Lodge my aunt has recovered and is now looking well.

Mum has lived in Hazlemere Lodge for 3 years after it became apparent she needed help with day to day activities due to her poor mobility and other health issues. Following the move, she came out of her shell and as a family, we felt a lot happier knowing she was safe and being looked after. Working
in a care home myself I have seen how difficult and upsetting Covid-19 has been for both staff and residents. The staff at Hazlemere Lodge have been amazing during this time and shown a lot of compassion and support not just to residents but also to family members.
As with everyday life, there have been a few issues Mum has been slightly unhappy with however the manager and her team have always been very understanding and professional and have done their upmost to ensure Mums mental and physical well-being remain a priority.
I would highly recommend Hazlemere Lodge to anyone looking for residential care for their loved ones.

My mum has been a resident since 2019 as a result of a number of hospital visits in a short space of time. The team have been nothing but kind, supportive and very empathic, especially during the pandemic.
I find the whole team to be professional, friendly and above all else very caring with their
number 1 priority being the residents
While Mum's dementia has declined significantly it is wonderful for me to know she is cared for and safe.
27 September 2021
My mother is safe and happy in the care of the staff. They are always helpful if I call. Mum never has any complaints and the care is excellent they have been excellent during the lockdown and always reassuring and also always let me know if my mum has any falls.

My stepfather initially moved into one of the extra care flats associated with the care home, but he couldn’t cope there so moved to the care home itself. I cannot rate the care, help and support all the staff have given both to my stepfather, my mother, myself and my sister. They honestly couldn’t
have done more, and all of it while having to work through the pandemic. Thank you all!

My mother has been at Hazlemere since November 2020 and the administrative and care staff have gone above and beyond to assist me through getting her settled, a couple of falls and hospital stays, all things Covid, providing/advising/purchasing personal items for my mother, as well as setting up a
regular schedule of Zoom calls and answering many questions and sharing procedures with me to help me understand how it all works at Hazlemere. All this has been done from afar because as her son, I’m living in Tucson, Arizona (thousands of miles away) and due to Covid and lockdowns could not even fly over and be in the UK. Due to the need for my mother to be in a safe, care home environment, and the logistics and restrictions of Covid over the past year, I cannot be more grateful for everything the staff has done to accommodate my needs and see us both through the process. You have an incredible team!

My mum has been a resident at Hazlemere Lodge for several years now. The day-to-day care from all the carers and management has been first class, personalised and empathetic. Without a doubt, over this last difficult and challenging year, their attention to detail and communication with me cannot be
faulted. They have also successfully balanced the overriding need to protect their residents with the heartfelt concerns of their relatives.
Since the restart of visits, my wife and I have seen Mum twice and, even with all the necessary disease controls in place, it has been lovely to talk with Mum face-to-face and to reconnect.
A very big thank you to the team at Hazlemere Lodge.

My father came to Hazlemere Lodge two years ago, after a period in hospital following a stroke. He has Alzheimer’s and sadly this has meant he requires nursing care. It was an awful time making decisions for him, knowing that he couldn’t be looked after at home anymore. The transition from hospital
into the home was seamless, Hazlemere Lodge couldn’t have done enough for us to ensure he settled in well. Two years on, he’s so happy. The care given to my father is so attentive, the nurses/carers treat him as if he is one of their family. When someone goes into nursing care, you quickly realise, it’s not the room or the facilities they need; the care is the most important thing. The whole team at Hazlemere Lodge are so caring, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
Lockdown has meant alternative ways of visiting, mum has grasped FaceTime and has enjoyed regular contact with Dad. It has given her great comfort knowing he is so well cared for. Thank you.

Our mother has been resident at Hazlemere Lodge for two and a half years and we have been so impressed with the service, care and attention that they give to all the residents. The staff are so attentive and caring, going above and beyond their duties to ensure that the residents are happy and
content - nothing seems too much for them. During these challenging Covid times they have gone the extra mile to reassure us that our mum is well, sending us photos of her after they had arranged an afternoon of haircuts and manicures for the ladies and again when she had a chest infection and was back eating and on the mend which eased our concern considerably. Staff have been great organising singalongs and movie afternoons and have super personal interaction with the residents.

My dad has resided at Hazlemere Lodge since December 2016. He has a nice room overlooking the garden that is kept clean and tidy. I feel he is well looked after and his needs are met. I get feedback regarding my dad’s health on a regular basis. They have a good range of activities and social days
that they encourage residents to take part in as well as family members before COVID. An exemplary team of carers in the unit in which my dad resides.

Mum has now been at Hazlemere Lodge now in excess of three years. She's in her early 90's with dementia/Alzheimer's. She has a lovely room overlooking a small copse with a bird feeder outside her window, which I keep topped up. Her room is always kept tidy. All the staff are incredible/sensitive to
her needs, and I'm so so thankful to them all. They're worth their weight in gold. I'd give Hazlemere Lodge not 5 but 10 Gold stars.

My mother has been a resident of Hazlemere Lodge since January 2018 and has Alzheimer's and complete short term memory loss following a seizure in 2012. I am happy and confident that my mum is receiving excellent care, all of the staff take the time to get to know the residents and therefore their
care and attention is very personal and specific to each individual. Alzheimer's is an awful disease and very difficult to cope with all the emotions that arise in a family when putting a loved one into care. The staff are always reassuring and have kind words to ease the upset and have regularly let me know that, should I feel the need for support or to talk, they are there for me and the rest of the family too. Up until Covid-19 lockdown, I have been able to visit whenever I have wanted to and at any time of day or night. During the lockdown, I have been in constant communication and had regular updates about my mum. The staff have done an absolutely amazing job during the lockdown.
