View Full Details of Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery CollectionWe have found the team at Beaconsfield to be excellent. Having looked at a few care homes, the team at Beaconsfield were found to be much more engaging with the residents, motivating and caring. Staff are always on hand, they seem to know each of the residents very well and and take the time to chat to them. A good range of activities take place regularly and my mam is active in things I never expected from her. The restaurant and food are really good and cakes / tea etc in constant supply. The care home always answer the phone straight away, its not a call centre, its the reception desk located in the main lobby of the home, and they action any requests or concerns really well . I have found the whole team to be very supportive in what is obviously a really difficult time when a loved one needs to move into a residential care setting.
Kayley and all the staff have made the transition to a care home for dad as smooth as it could have been. From our initial phone call to settling him in, they have held our hand through out and welcomed dad so warmly.
We've looked at a lot of care homes and this one felt right because the moment you walk into Beaconsfield Heights care home it feels like walking into a really lovely hotel the staff is so caring and attentive they residents look so happy. They have so many different activities on everyday there's food and drinks available all the time it feels like your on holiday. I wanted a place where my mother in law would not be bored have lots of people to talk to as she was a very social person before her dementia she is so happy there, the staff there always have a smile on their face and is always willing to help. Thank you so much to all the staff there.
My mother has recently become a resident at Beaconsfield Heights. From the initial communication around choosing a care home through to mum moving in, the whole team were supportive, empathetic and genuinely welcoming during a challenging time for all of us to navigate. The atmosphere is always friendly and positive and the activities everyday give a purpose for the residents. Being new to this stage of life, we continue to ask questions as to how everything works from nursing care to personal care. The staff are always proactive in their responses and have a "can do attitude" in every department. So far so good. Thank you.
Without doubt the best facility ever! All of the staff from housekeeping up to senior management are absolutely amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all available and happy to help. Communication is first class. Food is excellent with a great choice. Activities are varied and regular. Nobody is left out. Trips out are also fun and frequent. A first class care home that feels like home.
Putting Mum into a care home was not an easy decision to make but from the very first day we knew it was the right one. Due to the kindness, respect and attentiveness shown to Mum by all staff members she settled in very quickly. The atmosphere at the home is extremely welcoming and offers a range of fun and engaging activities. Communication with the family is good and I now have peace of mind that Mum is in a safe and nurturing environment. I should leave the last few words to Mum who said "Everyone here is so kind to me, they are always smiling and can't do enough for you".
Mum had been to visit the home a few times before becoming a resident and it was a good opportunity for her and I to get to know the staff and home. Her move was unexpectedly from hospital so the familiarity helped her settle in. The staff are very caring and meet Mum's needs, allowing her to take her time and do things at her own pace. I feel she is relaxed and safe.
The experience of initially visiting Beaconsfield Heights Care Home and then the rather challenging "moving in" day for my mother was made significantly better by the kindness of the team at the home. Through her first six months, I have been impressed by how smoothly things operate and how she has settled in and seems much more relaxed. The multitude of different activities is a definite highlight. The security of the dementia floor is also a great weight off my mind, in terms of her safety.
My 95-year-old mother moved into Beaconsfield Heights Care Home at the end of July after a difficult year or so in her own home. Even with carers visiting three times a day, she was finding it increasingly hard to cope. It was so hard for her to move from the house she lived inf or sixty-three years but after and initial, very wobbly few days, she has settled into her new life. She loves all the activities, the company, the food and is very happy she is being so well looked after - as are we! Thank you to all the staff who have helped my mother through this difficult period of transition.
Welcoming and very friendly and helpful service and advice. Any issues dealt with efficiency and care for resident. A very interesting and varied weekly activities sheet issued for residents to choose from. Any medical issues which arise are dealt with promptly and with dignity.
My aunt has recently moved to Beaconsfield Heights Care home. I looked at a number of care homes for her but this was the one I could see her settling into easily. The staff have really treated her as an individual, really getting to know her. The staff are lovely, warm and attentive. I had quite a lot of help preparing her room from the very helpful handyman. The team are great. We've had a boat trip on the Thames at Henley, opera evenings and bingo etc. We've seen a big improvement in her quality of life.
Dad has really settled into his new life at Beaconsfield Heights Care Home. The memory care team are fantastic, using the information shared about my dad prior to move-in to support him during those early days. He is now thriving, eating well, enjoying the company, activities and tailored trips out. I cannot thank the dementia care manager and her team enough for all they do for my dad.
My mum stayed for two weeks of respite care. We all thought the staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The room given to my mum was beautiful and clean. The meals were of such a high quality and varied. We all came away with a lovely feeling. Mum also said she would like to go back next year.
After a recent fall, my mother couldn't go home, so after visiting several care homes, I decided on Beaconsfield Heights Care Home. The best decision I could have made! From day one, my mother has felt safe and cared for. The team are fantastic and always happy to help.
After a year of live in carers, my Mother moved to Beaconsfield Heights last year and hasn't looked back. Instead of living by herself with limited social contacts, she now has people to chat with, a full day filled with choices, and a range of stimulating recreational activities. She is incredibly happy and well looked after. The staff have been very attentive and proactive about making my Mother feel welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend this well-managed care facility and the exceptional staff.
From my initial inquiry about respite care for my father with the client liaison manager and a home visit to assess Dad's needs, we as a family cannot fault this home. The professionalism of all the staff is outstanding and they go above and beyond to care for their residents doing their utmost in getting to know them. There were so many lovely personal touches from Dad's welcome package to them celebrating his birthday and baking him a cake. Dad was very impressed with the selection and variety of food available to him and any dietary needs were met. The facilities and cleanliness of the home were also outstanding. They provide a home-from-home atmosphere. I would not hesitate to recommend Beaconsfield Heights for care for your loved ones. Five stars and well deserved. Thank you so much.
From the first phone call to Beaconsfield Heights I felt reassured by their caring approach, efficiency and the advice they were able to give about dementia care. When we visited we were immediately impressed by the happy atmosphere and variety of well-planned and appropriate activities. Leaving your home is a hard decision to make and so Mum opted to try an initial month’s respite care. At the end of that month she had no hesitation in staying. The staff are unfailingly cheerful and I feel that Mum is genuinely happy there and making the most of this stage of her life, despite her memory loss. I have no hesitation in recommending Beaconsfield Heights.
My mother moved in 3 months ago following a series of downsizing moves, none of which were sufficient or successful. Having tried and failed at another care home, she moved into Beaconsfield Heights, initially for a respite 'trial' stay and never left. The staff were very welcoming and flexible, and did everything they could to make the move a success. The many activities and other residents have provided the social life and human interaction that her increasing physical frailty was preventing her from having in her old life. The food is delicious, and the kitchenette provides her with a sense of independence from the simple ability to make a snack or a cup of tea in her room when she chooses. With everything she was struggling to do for herself now taken care of, she is much calmer and has settled in really well.
It was recommended to me that my 98-year-old mother should experience a two-week respite. She lives by herself in a flat and is finding life more and more difficult. I organised an agency to give her care at home, one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. This service lasted for about four weeks. However my mother became exceedingly disillusioned with the service. Following advice I suggested to my mother that she should experience a care home. Beaconsfield Heights proposed a respite of two weeks which I thought would be ideal. I believe the respite was a success. My mother enjoyed her stay, she found the staff professional, very understanding and fabulously supportive. However, my mother is quite a determined and difficult individual, she indicated that for the moment she prefers staying in her flat. She feels she is not ready for a move into a care home. Beaconsfield Heights would suit her well. I hope that my mother will reconsider moving to Beaconsfield Heights.
My father moved into Beaconsfield Heights five months ago and the help and assistance we received was outstanding. The staff were so helpful in assisting with arrangements and options to moving Dad in and assisting him to acclimatise to the new way of life. The facilities are almost like a five-star hotel, with a beautiful garden to walk around/sit in, in the nice weather. There are always activities/entertainment during the day and evenings which residents can join in with or not, as they wish. My father loves the trips out, which they arrange in the minibus to various different locations with stops for coffee and cake! When my father has experienced some health issues the care staff have been excellent, providing assistance and comfort when needed, giving my Dad more confidence that support is always there should he need it. Dad agrees he could not be in a better place, which provides me and the rest of the family peace of mind too.
