All the staff at Alexander House, and particularly on the Cherries Unit, are fantastic. They all made my mothers last few months, the most enjoyable she had, had for some time. The care and kindness shown to mother, and ourselves was superb.

My sister has been a resident here for nearly 2 years. The staff who look after her have been nothing short of amazing. My sister has some difficulty in expressing her views but all the staff have gone over and beyond, including a way to understand her. She has progressed so much in her speech and general health. I have nothing to say but praise for the staff here, amazing!!

The staff are all lovely and caring. The staff are always cheerful. The care home is very welcoming. The care home provides a safe, happy & clean environment for residents. I understand the chef makes a lot of lovely food from scratch, which is a lovely thing to do. Thank you all.

I came to Alexandra House for rehabilitation. It was a daunting place to come, not knowing what to expect but my very first day I was made to feel at ease by joining other residents in the dining room for breakfast. The staff have been amazing, making my experience an easy one for which I am very grateful.

Our mum was 100 years old on 12/1/25. The home absolutely gave my mum a day to remember. They put on a lovely buffet. They made her a beautiful cake that was delicious. They decorated her room and also the room that we were allowed to have just for her 100 birthday celebration with her family. All the staff made a big deal over her birthday, singing happy birthday to her. We cannot praise the management and all the staff enough for how they look after our mum. We would definitely recommend Alexandra Care Home. Thank you all again. From all her family. With much love to you all.

I have two relatives in Alexandra House. My sister and my mother. I have been happy with the overall care offered to both by the staff and am impressed with the general positive attitude of both residents and family.

All Alexandra House nurses, carers and staff have provided outstanding, compassionate care to our lovely Dad, enabling us to have a precious extra year with him and Dad to enjoy the activities, company and an enjoyable outing. For this, we will be forever grateful.

Mum has been a resident at Alexandra House for a little over a year. She is very happy there. I cannot fault the staff in any way. Their attention to detail and their never-ending care just prove to me that Alexandra House choose their staff correctly. The manager is always available to talk to me and my family whenever we wish. An all-around great atmosphere in the home. Runwood Homes should be very proud.

Our beautiful Dad spent his final fifteen months living at Alexandra House. The wonderful care all the staff gave him was an amazing and lovely final year of life. The staffing is consistent and extensive, not to forget the background staff, providing the feeding, cleaning and maintenance. He loved being there and we will be forever grateful for their kindness and compassion, not only to him but to us as a family. We were in a blessed position that between us we could see Dad every day. Our heartfelt thanks.

My wife's nan is a resident in Alexandra House. Ever since she has been there she is a very happy woman. She enjoys not only activities but really likes the interaction with other residents and staff. The home is really clean and the gardens are very well looked after. My family are very happy that she is so well looked after. Thank you all. The manager is very approachable and a very kind lady.

Myself and my brothers and sisters are very pleased with the level of care given to our mother at Alexandra House, the staff are very tentative and polite, as a family we feel at ease that our mother is safe and being excellently cared for 24 hours, day and night. We are encouraged to ask questions and any concerns are quickly resolved. The cleanliness and food provided is a very good standard.

My dad has been a resident just over a week. He is really settling in quickly and the staff are so kind and friendly. The chef has been to see him to ensure he gets the food he likes. They have become friends and my dad looks forward to seeing him and a few others who have gone out of their way to make him feel welcome and special. His room is lovely and light with huge window and en-suite. The whole place is modern and clean. I'm so happy that he likes it.

I have nothing but praise for each and every member of the professional team at Alexandra House. The care provided for Mum during the past 10 months is second to none. The way they are with not just Mum but every resident shines through, it's clear to see they all make such a difference to everyone there. It is extremely safe, clean, well organised, providing many fun activities weekly and has a nice happy feel as soon as you step through their door. It's like one big happy family and they go above and beyond to make everyone welcome, this includes family and friends that visit. The food always looks good and Mum enjoys seconds so compliments to the chef too. Mum being there has allowed me to continue working without the constant worry of how she is as I am 100% certain she is completely taken care of with all her needs met by happy, caring, smiling staff. Mum is so happy and it's a pleasure to see. I will always remain forever thankful to every one of them caring for her. Thank you.

My mum has been a resident for more than a year but my comments are given for the past 1 year. The staff have given exemplary care. Mum is treated as an individual and with respect. The food is excellent and is prepared in the on-site kitchen. There are numerous activities every week. My family is always made welcome and I am involved in decision-making. Mum is always well-kept, and the visiting hairdresser is a bonus. The building, fittings and furniture are kept in excellent condition and are always clean. The manager is a lady of great experience and knowledge and has great vision and energy for continuing to improve what is excellent. The same enthusiasm and skills are also found in the senior staff, carers and nursing staff. I have found all staff to have a pleasant disposition and readily listen and be helpful. Every effort is made to make Alexandra House a caring, but stimulating environment for the residents, which importantly makes the residents feel that it is their home.

My mum spent from the end of August 23 until mid-December in Alexandra House following a fall in July, in which she unfortunately fractured her leg and was unable to weight bear for over three months. On arriving, all staff seemed very friendly and were very helpful and informative on Mum's situation. She enjoyed the social events she attended and said the food was very nice. All in all, a nice care home to know Mum was well looked after. Five stars to all the lovely staff; you do an amazing job.

My father has received excellent care since moving into Alexandra House in June 2023. The staff are care team are very friendly and attentive. This is a very well-run care home with good support from the community nursing team and GP.

My father has received excellent care since moving into Alexandra House in June 2023. The staff are care team are very friendly and attentive. This is a very well-run care home with good support from the community nursing team and GP.
