View Full Details of Hutton Village Care HomeAt the beginning of the month, Mum had a couple of episodes which left her on the floor of her home overnight. She asked to go into a home, so the search began. I contacted BUPA. Their advisers were so helpful and arranged a visit for me to see around Hutton Village Care Home. I thought it was perfect for Mum. She wanted to see her room, so I took her, and she too was impressed. She's only been there 1 week, but she loves it. Calls it a hotel. Everyone is so helpful and caring. The food is great too. 10/10 so far.
Mum has been a resident for 3 years & has settled in ok. The food is good, with lots of choice, and I appreciate the friendly, welcome from the staff when I visit her. I think they do a superb job in sometimes challenging circumstances. The activities team arrange a selection of activities & outings, with taxis booked to accommodate wheelchair users. The gardens are lovely to sit in on sunny days.
Overall very satisfied with Hutton Village Care Home. The care my uncle receives is great, the nurses and carers are friendly, will help with anything you ask for. He can have a joke with some of them which cheers him up. Very professional and keep me informed if my uncle has to have anything done or if he's very poorly.
The home has a real team feel amongst all staff, which contributes to a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, whilst maintaining high standards of care and compassion.
We are made to feel at home each time we visit. We have a laugh with some of the staff when they get a chance to talk to them, when they get a chance to talk to them. When they are busy working, their expertise is brilliant. I thank them all, from the lady on reception and the workforce around the rooms. They are all pleasant and professional. Thank you.
Pleased with the service, care and treatment shown for my mother during difficult times over the last year. The staff are caring, patient, professional, but above all they are so understanding, ready with a cuddle and so creative in dealing with Mum.
I have visited for many years. Always met with a smile and friendliness. Most residents I have visited are very happy. (There are always a few who would not be happy wherever they were!) made to feel welcome by the staff, and depending on the time of day, a cup of tea or coffee with a smile. Activities are good and frequent, with outings or visits from entertainers for many afternoons.
Since my mother-in-law has been a resident at Hutton Villave Care Home, she has become a new person. When she was living at her home, she was lonely, but Hutton Village has given her a new lease of life with the wonderful daily activities and constant care. She loves the environment and the interaction with other residents. Since she has been in Hutton Village, we have been able to relax knowing she is looked after.
Mum has at Hutton Village nearly two years now and really likes the home. Thanks to all carers, nurses, catering, admin, cleaning, laundry, and maintenance staff who work so hard to take care of her and contribute greatly to her well being. The activities are excellent; thoughtfully organised for stimulation and variety. The other residents are friendly too.
Warm and welcoming with professional and kind staff. A real family atmosphere. Very clean, good food considering that a wide range of tastes have to be catered for. Daily optional activities for the residents with lots of variation. Pleasant physical environment with a nice, well kept and spacious garden. Heated garden summer house can be reserved at no additional cost. Regular GP visits (weekly). The biggest asset are the lovely staff.
Dad was reluctant to leave his own home, but after he had a stroke it became obvious that he needed full time care. He was transferred from the hospital suffering from deep bed sores but the nursing care he received was wonderful and this issue was resolved. After just a few weeks he settled in and was well looked after until he sadly passed away. Although unable to move independently, he was encouraged to join in all of the activities, and this became the highlight of the day. All of the Hutton Village team from management, carers, nurses, activity coordinators and kitchen staff certainly made his last 2 years enjoyable, he loved all the staff and had no complaints about the care he received. It gave me great comfort that he was well looked after and I appreciate everything all the staff involved gave to make him feel at home.
We bought our mother, frail, not eating, drinking, staying in bed, apart from the toilet, in and she is a different lady. Mum is doing everything she wasn't and more. The carers are amazing, mum is so well looked after and all my doubts have disappeared.
Hutton View Care Home provides a safe and friendly place for my mother-in-law. All the staff from the nurses, carers, activities coordinators, cleaning and kitchen staff are respectful, kind and caring. The home manager and her team are available easily to discuss any concerns that I might have and resolve any issues. The home is lucky enough to have a wonderful GP from a local surgery who visits every week and can assess and treat any illnesses very quickly in a holistic way. I highly recommend Hutton Village Care Home.
I am very impressed with BUPA Hutton Village Care Home. From the moment my husband and I walked through the door on our first visit, all staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. There is a family orientated and homely feel about the care home. My mother who was not keen to go into a care home but has settled down extremely well and enjoys being there. Latterly, in her own bungalow she was in bed all the time, however, now, with the encouragement of the carers, she goes to activities and eats some of her meals in the dining room. All staff have been very helpful and accommodating from the outset. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They have been very kind to my mother and have very quickly become aware of her character, her likes and dislikes.
Mum had 3+ happy years at Hutton Village Care Home. She was always well cared for and the care she received during her final weeks was exceptional. She loved the variety of activities, particularly anything musical. When she was able she enjoyed trips out for coffee and cake. The activities team decorate the home beautifully for various occasions for example Christmas, Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day etc. Which went down well with mum.
Beautiful care home, such a lovely atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. My aunt absolutely loves it there. Whenever I go to visit her, she's always getting involved in an activity like, bowls, knitting/crafts, bingo, quizzes. The staff really get involved too. Extremely clean and tidy there and my aunt loves the meals. I would definitely recommend this cafe home.
Hutton Village Care Home is the best care home in the area. My mother-in-law has tried several and this is the only one that adequately meets her needs and gives us confidence that she is being truly cared for.
A beautiful well-maintained care home with staff who give 100% of their time to ensure your loved one is well cared for. They have great well-planned activities and a beautiful garden. For all to enjoy. The food is also of high quality with kitchen staff who work hard at what they do to please the residents. My husband is happy here with the care he receives. This is certainly a place worth considering if you are looking to place a loved one.
From our first visit to view Hutton Village, we knew it was just right for our dear mum. They treat Mum with so much kindness, patience and respect. Mum is relatively new to Hutton Village and is now getting used to her surroundings and has told us she is happy there. Mum requires movement to be made by using the hoist which she is nervous of. But the staff are very kind and reassuring towards her. The staff are very busy and when it comes to mealtimes need that bit extra help to feed the residents who can't do it themselves. The carers do their very best.
Mum has settled in really well and says that she feels relaxed an comfortable. Staff do their best to be inclusive and encourage residents to participate in the many activities that are available to them. As a family, we always feel welcomed. Staff work extremely hard however at certain times of the day it can feel as though more staff are required.
