Mum now requires a lot of help. We are very pleased with the care she receives and the kindness shown to her.
Conditions and facilities at Abbots Barton are excellent, and we have every confidence that the level of care required is delivered. She is treated with respect and dignity is maintained,
and probably most importantly, she is happy.

I have been in for a fortnight's respite care and have been really well looked after.
The cleanliness, facilities and staff have all been excellent, the food too and very much enjoyed. I was treated with great kindness and respect at all times, and help was always on hand should I require it. My
room was lovely and the roses were a much appreciated extra touch.
I would be very happy to recommend Abbots Barton.

Excellent 1st impression continued through my mother's stay at Abbotts Barton. The care and medical assistance was top quality in particular. My mother commented on how impressed and happy she was with the food and staff in particular. This was only a short three week stay for her this time, but if
she ends up returning to Abbots Barton in the future, I am sure she will be happy.

I have been here for two weeks. I have found the place efficient and welcoming with kind and friendly staff. The food is delicious and varied, although I would prefer a supper later that 5:30pm - Sandwiches at midnight are a delight! The gardens are beautiful.

My Mother has been a resident for over 4 years. She is incredibly happy and the care is outstanding. All staff are kind, highly competent and caring. These very high standards are set by the Home Manager and cascade through to all teams in the home - nurses, carers, activities, catering and
housekeeping.
My Mother's strong relationships with staff and residents are vital to her. She enjoys engaging in the wide ranging activities and having the beautiful garden. In her words:
"Abbotts Barton do everything they can to make everything right for you. They know your fancies and foibles. Automatically get for you the things you like and need. It makes me feel relaxed. I am in control of my life, people here listen to me."
My Mother also has very complex health issues. The nursing team's prompt and skilled actions have probably saved her life on a number of occasions.
This is an excellent Care Home with a lovely culture that treats all residents and their families with respect and care.

I have had four weeks in Abbots Barton care home - respite care following a fall when I injured my hip. I have felt safe and well cared for and all the staff have been without exception, polite, respectful and helpful.. I have had all my prejudices about care homes and old people completely blown
away and I found everybody to be interesting and intelligent and good company. I love the fact that there are 20 nationalities represented amongst the staff and even more languages spoken.. I particularly appreciated the activities that were on offer - an exercise class nearly every morning and some sort of activity to stretch the brain in the afternoon such as a quiz or a crossword or number games. I have also been on some interesting trips and particularly enjoyed the trip to Chichester and boat ride around the harbour..
The food has mostly been good and sometimes very good, varied and imaginative. One thing I would criticise is that the vegetables, to my taste, usually, were overcooked.

My stay has been very happy, and has improved my recovery from hip surgery. I would chose Abbotts Barton if I needed permanent respite care. I met a very old friend and school mate and that made both our stays richer for it.

After 8 days in hospital with a fractured pelvis I needed some respite before returning home. Abbotts Barton was recommended to me and it lived up to expectations. Wonderful staff at all levels. Thank you all.

Abbotts Barton give residents of all ages the "home" they will always appreciate, the comfortable personal rooms, service rooms and lounges give pleasure. Physical and mental activity is important and residents receive the best. Strolls and sitting out in the garden is very welcome.

My mum came to Abbotts Barton Care Home in March 2024, discharged in quite a frail state from hospital. She has quite complex needs and is mostly non-verbal. The care, compassion and professionalism of carers and 24/7 kindness to my mum has facilitated a stable and happy lifestyle for her. I visit
often at various times during the day and evening and at all times she is being looked after in the most wonderful way.

What a fantastic home Abbotts Barton is! The team have delivered amazing nursing care for my dad who was sadly in hospital following a long period with home care. Everybody has made him feel so welcome, including the other residents, and the support both he and I have received from the staff has
been invaluable. There is clearly so much that goes into making the residents feel safe and happy and I feel confident that every detail is covered. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and their communication is very good. When I recently went on holiday, I felt I could relax as Dad was in good hands. In only a month, he has experienced so much more than he ever could at home and is the happiest I have seen him in years. After lunch in the dining room with his fellow residents, he loves sitting in the beautiful garden and is looking forward to the next minibus trip! High praise for all at Abbotts Barton and a big thank you from Dad and I.

I have visited over 3 consecutive days as I live a long way away. I have been impressed by all the staff I have contact with. My friend is not as well as she has been and nursing staff and care staff have been attentive and kind. They also helped me organise wheelchair trips out. My friend has lived
here for several years and we have never had any concerns and appreciate the care offered. The carers nursing staff and manager have all been really helpful. Thank you.

It is always a pleasure to visit this care home, where the staff are welcoming and friendly, the environment clean and homely, and there is a lovely sense of community. Residents' spiritual needs are respected, and for those who miss being able to be part of a church family, the monthly communion
service and room visits (when requested) seem to be much appreciated.
