View Full Details of Cams RidgeI have been coming up to the home for the last four months to visit my mother in law. They look after her needs, always go out of their way to say hello and check on my mother in law. The entertainment is good and the food lovely and nothing is too much.
MY mum was transferred to Cams Ridge for end of life care in July 2024. We praised the care she received from the staff at Cams Ridge but were upset with owners over fees charged after my mums death on July 7th.Since then having spoken a Director of Cams Ridge I understand more the costs involved after her death. I was very upset at the time at losing my mum and we should have dealt with the issues differently.I do not want my original opinion to detract from the excellent care she received at Cams Ridge.Through out her care period she was treated exceptionally well and towards the end of her life the care staff could not have done more to cater for her every need.I think it is only fair to put the record straight.
The only thing I can say about living here is it's excellent. The food, staff and my room is just perfect.
Mum was resident at Cams Ridge for 2.5 years, during that time her care was excellent. Even when she eventually succumbed to dementia the care remained at the highest level. All the staff were excellent, the lady on reception, the nursing staff, the laundry lady, the carers, the young staff who brought her favourite apple juice each morning, they all knew Mum and treated her with kindness & dignity. A most special mention goes to her primary carer who provided great support to both Mum and the family during the most difficult times. Thank you Cams Ridge.
Mum has been in Cams Ridge for over 3 months and although its not what she wanted, she has settled and is very happy. The staff are very attentive, the home is clean, the food is really good. Any queries are answered quickly, nothing is too much.
My husband is well cared for. Everyone is very kind and all the staff work very hard.
Very nice.
I like living here, it's nice and comfortable.
My mum was at Cams Ridge for a little over 2 months until her passing in July 2025, mum arrived from Hospital for an assessment for ongoing care but sadly her passing came quicker than we expected. Cams Ridge is clean and well maintained, the food supplied was very good, and all the staff are amazing, so friendly, kind, helpful, always smiling , treating mum with dignity and respect whilst providing the care she needed , the family cannot thank them enough. A lovely home that all of our family will highly recommend.
The atmosphere in Cams Ridge is always relaxed and happy. The staff are always friendly and help if they can. I cannot fault the food, it is always given at the right temperature, and there is a good variety of options. They provide outside entertainment on a regular basis which is of a high standard. Room are very basic; however, you can add personal touches if required.
This is a fantastic place to live.
I have found the care and attention given to my friend and neighbour very good. The staff are lovely, always with a smile on their faces. Thank you to everyone. I have worked in a care home, many years ago and know its not an easy job to do. Value for money - I don't know how much you charge so cannot answer this.
My husband was in Cams Ridge for nearly 8 months until his passing in February 2025 he had complex needs which h meant he needed at least 2 hourly care and found the care at the home excellent my husband was always clean and tidy all the staff where caring friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them to do. They always kept me or my family informed of any issues especially the last few days before he died they where understanding gave us time where patience and caring a big thank you to one and all from me and my family.
Excellent.
My Mother's initial stay at Cams Ridge was first for some respite care, however, she felt happy there and we decided she would stay. Throughout her time at Cams, she was very well cared for - all the staff were very kind and helpful and made her relaxed and happy. I cannot thank them enough.
At first reluctant, my Mum thoroughly enjoyed her stay. Sitting in the lounge there were plenty of residents and staff to talk to. The surroundings are pleasant and homely. The food is nutritious and well-presented. Personal care was exemplary, Mum was always clean, tidy, and well-dressed. Whenever I visited, the staff were warm, smiling, and friendly. At the end of Mum's life, the staff sat with her for hours, for which Mum and I are very grateful.
We as a family found that the care home made my wife very welcome and made every effort to make things comfortable and friendly for her. An early acceptance of her health problems was essential to acceptance of her feeling at home as she felt initially that we were putting her into prison, but due to good care by the staff, she later felt comfortable and contented. My family and I are very thankful for the care provided to her by all members of staff.
Mum resided in Cams Ridge from June 2022 until her passing on the 16th February 2024. From day one here she was always happy. Referred to it as her home and "her staff". She always joined in any activity there and really enjoyed the sing songs they had. All the staff were considerate and kind to her. Also, all the staff treated the family well. They put on a truly lovely do to celebrate her 110th birthday last year. And in the end, they were so kind to us all. Mum definitely enjoyed her 20 months there.
I am very happy with all aspects of Cams Ridge. The communication was very good and I felt there was respect for me and my family.
Excellent. Keep up the good work.
