very caring ,helpful nothing too much trouble always smiling thankyou
My husband has been at Pax Hill for over a year now. All the staff carry out their jobs in a happy, caring way. They always have the residents needs looked after. Nothing is too much trouble. They keep me updated on everything. The atmosphere in the care home is quiet & calming.
The management of Pax Hill runs a tight ship. This is a reflection of running a first class nursing home. The activities staff are a breath of fresh air. The gardens are delightful and a welcome to visitors and residents alike. I find the staff caring and encouraging, especially to residents confused at being up rotted out from their normal home. The armchair exercises, memory games, plus arts and crafts are a bonus to all concerned. Time is given to socialise for residents of that frame of mind.
My mother moved into Pax Hill, initially for respite care, in 2022 as my father was already up on the nursing floor. She quickly realised that she did not want to return home to live on her own. As my father had been at Pax Hill for over two years, she was already known by many of the staff and they quickly made her feel at home on Balmoral. She enjoyed her lovely room looking out on the terrace, garden and grounds. She was able to have her furniture and pictures all around her and she knew that she was in the best place. A huge thank you to everyone for looking after her so well.
Pax Hill is a beautiful care home in a lovely setting. The staff are exceptionally caring and friendly towards my husband, who is receiving both dementia and palliative care. He is very happy there, I couldn't single anyone out in particular, as every member of the team is so kind, helpful and compassionate. They are always welcoming - not just to residents but also to visitors, offering tea, cake and biscuits with genuine warmth .
Lovely high quality care home in a beautiful setting. The standard of care is superb and the staff are highly professional, kind and caring. My mother is in much better health than when living at home with visiting carers. Highly recommend.
A friendly welcome with staff greeting with a nice smile.
The first time I saw Pax Hill Care Home I knew this was the perfect place for my Mum, the Staff were friendly and were happy to help you. We were able to choose Mum's room and to decorate it to look like Mum's flat with all her favourite things. Mum was on Montgomery Unit and all the Staff made you feel relaxed when visiting and pleased to see you. Mum was only in Pax Hill for a few months and was well cared for and was treated with respect, kindness and well dressed. When Mum passed away the Staff were amazing and they took good care of my daughter and I. Pax Hill agreed to do a farewell for the Staff on Montgomery to say thank you for everything they had done for Mum and us, the chef did amazing afternoon tea with giant scones which Mum would have enjoyed. My daughter and I will never be able to thank the Staff enough for everything they did to make Mum's last few months a happy and loved one, you are all truly amazing.
My partner spent the last ten days of his life at Pax Hill and passed away there. All of the staff, receptionists, admin, nurses, care assistants and housekeeping were all first class. My partner was treated with dignity and compassion throughout and the care he received was excellent in all respects. Pax Hill is a lovely, welcoming and beautiful environment and I know that my partner was grateful to spend his last days somewhere he felt comfortable, safe and loved. When the time came for him to pass away, all the staff conducted the arrangements with such sensitivity and dignity. Everyone was so kind to me, as a relative, and I felt supported throughout my association with Pax Hill. I can't express how grateful and impressed I am.
The care our brother received is beyond compare. All staff (nursing, healthcare, housekeeping and administrative/management) showed great compassion, humanity and kindness. They are the epitome of what staff in care settings should be like. Their approach was not only person-centred towards our brother. but they extended that to us, his relatives, partner and friends. They are a credit to Pax Hill.
Pax Hill is the best a care home you could ever wish for. My father was looked after in the Windsor Wing for 16 months. He was attended to day and night and cared for with neverending kindness and patience. My father's condition improved as he stayed at Pax Hill, having been very ill in hospital before he arrived. The staff cared for his physical needs as well as providing entertainment and companionship. We are very grateful that such a difficult time in Dad's life - and ours - was made as good as possible.
I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful care you gave my aunt for the two and a half weeks she was with you for respite care. She has recovered so well and is now living happily at home. She particularly appreciated the dignity with which she was treated and the outstanding food.
I was quickly absorbed into the community here, so friendly and always there when needed. My room is beautifully positioned and I can watch the birds and after activities I always look forward to a meal. Such good, delicious food and well presented.
Thank you very much for the wonderful care for our father received in his last two years we witnessed the many times staff stepping in, to make him more comfortable, cared for every level, including nursing care physical care, stretch class care and spiritual care. You are all a very special bunch with wonderful varied gifts with much gratitude.
We have felt welcomed by all the staff and management team since our very first visit to Pax Hill. Mum is extremely well looked after on Montgomery floor and the staff are just lovely with her. The whole environment is clean, warm and calm. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and anytime we want to chat about something, they are available. We highly recommend Pax Hill.
My mother had a 4-week respite stay whilst we went abroad from December 2024 to January 2025. She is 94 and had never been in a care home before so were naturally concerned as to how she would cope. The staff were reassuring at the outset and gave detailed updates when we called whilst we were away. They accommodated all my mother's needs and foibles without issue. We collected my mother 2 days ago and she spent the whole journey home chatting about how lovely and kind the staff were and how nice the food was. She also said she would be happy to go to Paxhill again when we next go away. I think that says it all really, as she was not keen on going initially! We felt very confident and reassured leaving my mother and were very impressed with the staff, the home, the care and the ethos of Paxhill. We would definitely recommend the home to anyone looking for respite or permanent care for an elderly relative.
Pax Hill Care Home is a well managed home with devoted and hard working staff who are committed to the well being of its residents. It is set in beautiful Hampshire grounds which are very well maintained. Varied and interesting activities are provided and the is a community atmosphere.
My Father has been a resident now for nearly 2 years. He is extremely well looked after by the staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. The nursing team and visiting doctor, in particular, are great and always available for a chat to discuss his needs. The activities lady is also great and makes sure he takes part in the daily exercise classes to keep both his physical and mental capacity going. All the staff seem to take pride in their work and make it a great place. The place is very clean and well maintained too. I highly recommend Pax Hill.
We would like to thank a particular staff member and his staff for their kindness when my mother first arrived at Pax Hill. Followed by her move to Windsor ward where another staff member and her team looked after her until his final moment, with great care and kindness.
