View Full Details of Wilton Manor Care HomeA week after my mother moved into Wilton Manor she said "When I arrived I felt worthless and afraid unable to do anything for myself. The staff are so kind and friendly. They encourage me to do things for myself. I feel confident even powerful always to ask if I need something. I sit with others at lunch and no long have to be fed. The food is lovely I am not scared to eat because it's a special diet and I don't feel unwell after eating. The residents are friendly and chat with me. For the first time in ages I feel like part of the community and not isolated." My mothers journey has been difficult she is SSI and has dementia and heart issues, mostly importantly she is still a person with feelings. Thank you so much Wilton Manor for recognising this!
My mum has been a resident at Wilton Manor since 2021 after struggling at home. My mums life was greatly improved after she moved into the care home where she receives the highest standard of care and seems much happier. Wilton manor is a lovely care home with a real family feel about it and I'm so pleased we found Wilton manor for my Mum. The manager is friendly, approachable and truly caring, the activity team is amazing and the Food is varied and of a high standard and the chef is always willing to cater to individual needs. Thank you Wilton Manor
The care my mother has received as she nears the end of her life has been excellent. The support I and my siblings have also received has been outstanding and welcomed by all, especially from the home manager, deputy manager, ground floor unit manager and from the activities co-ordinator who has provided little personal touches toward my mothers comfort has been especially touching. These staff members are as asset to your organisation who go above and beyond for my mother and us.
There is always a sense of calmness on entering Wilton Manor Care Home. Always a friendly greeting. The management are open to communications regarding my mother. There are many activities to suit my mother with one to one visits from the activity coordinator. Events are laid on and there are many musical afternoons. The meals are really good. Great desserts. We have found a safe and comfortable home for my mum.
We'd like to share our heartfelt gratitude for the team at Wilton Manor, who have looked after our 90-year-old mother with dementia with genuine care and respect. From the beginning, the atmosphere has felt open and positive, full of warmth, smiles, and a real sense of friendship and engagement between staff and residents. The staff are always willing to keep us updated on Mum's wellbeing, which gives us great peace of mind. Whether it's a small change in her routine or a moment of joy she's experienced, they're happy to share, and it means a lot to us as a family. One of the things we value most is the flexibility around visiting. With different family members juggling work and other commitments, it's been a relief to know we can visit and stay a while and we are always made to feel welcome. The management and care team have created a space where our family and our Mum is able to feel content, relaxed and truly cared for. We're grateful to everyone there.
My husband has been in Wilton Manor Care Home for one month. I cannot speak highly enough of this home. The manager and staff are the most professional, caring people I have ever come across. All the residents are treated with dignity, respect, and love. The nursing team provide a duty of care to an exceptional high standard, which, for me, having been a nurse, is so important. So love Wilton Manor.
Just shared a wonderful VE Day tea party in the garden. It was so good to see the smiles, hear the music- singalong with the residents. It has made a lovely memory for us on a historic day. The staff worked so hard and it is appreciated. Can't buy memories- takes skill to make them.
It is reassuring for me and my siblings to know that Mum is safe, comfortable and being cared for by kind, patient and respectful people. The staff are first class and we can't praise them enough. The home is well-run, kept clean and tidy and feels warm and welcoming. My only concern is the steady increase in fees, which have risen by 26% in the 2 1/2 years Mum has been a resident.
My mother was very distressed when I moved her into Wilton Manor but the staff managed the very stressful situation extremely well and have cared for her with compassion since that time. My only concern is the fast rise in fees!
My mum has been in the care home for several years. She has been and still is well cared for with compassion, dignity and excellent care from the staff. There are a few carers who go over and above when looking after Mum. Mum is happy, content and looks upon the care home as her home. She is safe, happy, treated well, stimulated and treated as a human being; who matters.
The kindness, care and compassion shown towards my mum and us (her family) was outstanding. The staff are not just doing a job, they really do care about the residents.
My Mother has been at Wilton Manor for over two years and has been looked after very well. The staff are very caring and level-headed and are skilled at managing the difficulties inherent to working with older people with dementia. The home is a friendly, caring environment, and staff and residents communicate well with each other. I would recommend Wilton Manor and am pleased to have found it.
Our friend has been a resident at Wilton Manor Care Home for two years. The staff went to great lengths to help her settle. Her wellbeing greatly improved due to the care she received. We have been pleased with not only how her needs have been provided for but also the good relationships with staff. We have also been pleased with the guidance we have received from management.
I would definitely recommend this care home. It has a wonderful family atmosphere and all the staff are kind and caring. They all look after Mum so well and completely understand her care needs, as well as her likes and dislikes. Mum was in hospital recently and the Care Home Manager was instrumental in enabling Mum to come back to the care home, sooner than would otherwise have happened. She liaised with her staff, the hospital and me to enable this to happen. This meant Mum didn't have to spend longer in hospital than was necessary. I was so relieved and grateful that Mum was able to return to her 'home'. All the staff work tirelessly to ensure Mum is looked after and cared for and can join in with the numerous activities if she wishes to. The wonderful staff always keep me informed about Mum and they always have time for a chat when we visit her.
Wilton Manor, what a wonderful care home. My mother was a resident here for a couple of months for end-of-life care. From day one each and every member of staff I spoke with were so caring and at the same time extremely professional. They kept me informed every step of the way regarding Mum's care needs. There is a brilliant entertainment/activities team with something for everyone to participate in. The rooms are large and nicely decorated creating a home-from-home feel. Fantastic menu with great choices. Everybody who works here from cleaner/laundry, office, activities team, carers, nurses, and care home manager should be so proud of the work and care they give. Truly wonderful care home.
My husband was admitted to Wilton Manor Care Home after having had a stroke and he also has vascular dementia. Having previously spent 9 weeks at the home last year, we knew what a lovely place it was. All the staff are superb, led by the most amazing, helpful manager, and treating my husband as one of their own. Nothing is too much trouble. He's putting on weight and always has enough to eat. The menus are amazing. The rooms are large and clean and he has a TV. He has visitors most days and is always very clean and presentable. I'm so pleased that my husband was considered a resident of this home. His sister wants to stay in this home if she ever has to go into care, as she also thinks it's a great place.
I moved into Wilton Manor eight months ago. I cannot express how happy I am living at the home, I am looked after so well and the staff are so helpful and nice to be around. The activities staff are so jolly when entertaining all of us that live here.
Although mum has been here less than a year she has settled in so well. The staff have been extremely helpful, kind and considerate of mum's feelings. Her dignity is upheld at all times and she feels at home which is a real blessing and really comforting to know. We would recommend Wilton Manor Care Home to anyone needing to source a care home for a family member. Thank you to everyone for their ongoing support.
My room is very clean and my laundry is done regularly. My medication is given to me at the same time each day. My family can visit me at any time. I am on the whole very happy.
I cannot rate this care home highly enough. The staff are exceptional and have made this difficult path easier to bear. My dad was very much loved by the staff caring for him, and it felt like a family away from home. His end-of-life care was very personal and our decision-making was respected and supported. The standard of care was excellent and I would highly recommend this home.
