I am well happy with the care my mum has been getting at Alexandra Care and it is nice to know she is in safe hands as my mum is now 100 years old.

The staff are really caring and friendly, and look after my husband really well, they also welcome visitors at all times. The home is clean, and they also welcome visitors at all times.

I am very happy with the way the care home is run. Whenever I visit my sister, there is always some activity going on and all residents are invited to join in. The rooms are always clean and tidy. Everyone who works there are friendly and always answer any questions we have. My sister is so happy
there.

I was very happy that my wife was accepted by Alexandra Care Home to provide care. The carers all deliver very good services and manage challenging behaviour while respecting dignity. Residents are encouraged to participate in activities. The building is very well maintained and is always clean.
Security is also well managed. The manager and administration are very helpful and keep me informed about how my wife is doing.

My sister was accepted to this care home for early onset dementia. She also had challenging behaviour so I am very happy that this care home felt they could meet her needs. They have been tolerant - my sister is calmer and has settled down.
The staff are all very helpful and dedicated which
leads to a friendly environment. Even though the residents are suffering with dementia and the like, the staff bring warmth and fun when they do activities bringing out the best in the residents to interact.
If I have a concern I feel able to say what this is. I think the staff make every effort to make my sister feel at home. I have peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. I am grateful that the staff have the knowledge to help my sister to enjoy, as much as she is able, her new home.

Very satisfied with all the care, appearance, facilities and my husband's wellbeing. My father was in this home in 2019-2020, again, he was well cared for, but this home is in much better management and the facilities and especially the decor, has much improved.

I have found the care and the staff very caring and my husband is in a much better and happier condition than he was. If he is poorly, they pick up on his condition and react very quickly. I'm very pleased and satisfied with his care.

My mother was there for her last 8 years. I never had cause for concern for her welfare. The staff were always friendly & helpful. I was kept informed of anything that happened to her. The home in general and her own room were always clean and in good order.

Although a short palliative/end of life stay, we as a family cannot fault the level of care our mum received. All of the staff were extremely caring and friendly towards family and friends and when the time came, were compassionate and respectful. We would highly recommend this care home xx

The care & dignity my dad was given was outstanding. Also me & family were looked after so well. I can't thank your staff enough even though my dads stay was short. Your staff are an absolute credit to your home. Thank you all so much for all the love & support.

It was lovely to see how much effort was given by staff when communicating with mum. Even on the days that mum found it difficult to respond they never gave up communications between staff and family was open and honest. Great to see. Mum deteriorated quickly and in her final few days staff showed
empathy, respect and understanding. We were allowed to stay with mum in her final hours and staff were compassionate and very kind to us. It is a wonderful competent staff team. Thank you to everyone that looked after mum so efficiently.

My dad was admitted to Alexandra Care Home in late January 2025, suffering from advanced dementia and inoperable cancer. I was very pleased with the standard of care provided to him; the team were compassionate, professional and patient. His room and en-suite were always spotlessly clean, and the
staff were very attentive. Although he couldn't partake, there were activities for the residents every day, but for the most part he was allowed to remain in his room whenever he wanted to.
On arrival, the staff were always very friendly and welcoming, knew our names, and were always able to update us on how he had been since the previous day's visit. When he finally passed, everyone was sympathetic and kind.
Thank you all - carers and administrators - for looking after Dad in his final days, for caring, and for making him comfortable and dignified.

All staff went above and beyond to provide my nan with exceptional care. Very kind and compassionate with family and other needs that needed to be met, never too much trouble to contact anyone. Rooms and facilities were always clean and well kept! From careers to management and administration I

The staff are always welcoming and greet you with a smile regardless of how busy they are. Key staff are aware of all issues related to the personal care of the individual concerned, for us, this is important that they care enough to know what is important.

I just wanted to take the time to say a massive thank you to all the wonderful staff at Alexandra Care Home for the fantastic care you gave to my mum during her stay with you. It was first class.
The welcoming smile from each and every member of staff, the "Hello, how are you?". Always being kept
informed of every detail. Arranging video calls when we were unable to visit during Covid restrictions. Being sent photos of activities mum was taking part in and seeing her smiling. It all gave us confidence that she was being truly cared for at the highest level.
The care and compassion that was shown to me and my family when Mum passed away at the weekend was beautiful. Thank you so much.
You are all amazing people who work extremely hard.

The staff were so kind to my dad right up to his passing. My sisters and I were very grateful that Dad was so well supported, respected and cared for during his time at Alexandra House and the head nurse on the Dementia and Nursing Care floor was absolutely lovely, compassionate and efficient in her

Dad was allocated Alexandra Care Home for respite care after being in Watford General Hospital for 6 weeks.
The team in the Dementia and Nursing care floor were amazing!
The nurse is a true star and amazing so kind, caring and approachable. Her team are an absolute credit! They all treated my
Dad with the utmost kindness and respect!
I would highly recommend to any family who are looking for a care home for their relative they truly look after their residents with such a high level of care and compassion.
Thank you to all at Alexandra Care Home! You really are an amazing team!
