My Mum made the decision herself that she wanted to move from sheltered accommodation into a residential care home. She didn't have dementia or Alzheimer's or a terminal illness, she was just a very frail old lady vulnerable to falling over.
She moved into Erskine Hall in September 2024 at the
age of 99. She celebrated her 100th birthday and her 101st but sadly she died in October 2025 very peacefully whilst taking a morning nap simply from frailty of old age.
From the moment of her arrival, Mum was very happy living in Erskine Hall. She knew her life was moving towards its end but she accepted every new day as it came. She loved all the staff who looked after her and took care of her. She knew that everybody had their part to play be they a cleaner or a nurse; a cook or a receptionist.
As her son, I never once had any complaints either about the care provided to my Mum or the overall service. Both were outstanding and greatly exceeded my expectations. Absolutely wonderful.

Both my parents are residents at Erskine Hall, and sadly both have dementia.
My mother has been a resident since November 23, and my father since April 25.
My parents both have excellent day to day care, compassion and respect.
I know their best interests and overall well being are a priority
for the staff.
Earlier this year my father's health declined and made it unsafe for him to continue living independently. I arranged for him to join my mother at the nursing home. The staff made this transition from his home to Erskine Hall quite seamless, which helped everyone involved enormously.

The staff at Erskine Hall Care Home are all so caring and kind. The entertainment provided is excellent. My 92 year old mum really enjoys the talented pianist who plays every fortnight. She really looks forward to it, and it gives her so much joy. I'm really grateful to them for organising lovely
parties for mum's birthday, which she really enjoyed. Thanks for the excellent care.

My Dad has been a resident with Erskine Hall Care Home for 8 years until he sadly passed away in October 2025 The staff and carers were absolutely amazing with my Dad , who'd suffered a catastrophic stroke in June 2017, leaving him unable to talk or move. All the staff treated my Dad with care and
humility, they understood his personality even though he couldn't talk and through their care and dedication, we believe he survived so long after his stroke. The carers and staff also made time for his wife and family and made it feel like a home from from for my Dad. I highly recommend Erskine Hall.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. The staff are kind, friendly and incredibly supportive. The activities are wide-ranging and thoughtfully presented, thanks to a member of staff and her wonderful team. The place itself is beautiful , homely and very well furnished. Thank

Everything - all facilities and every aspect including staff, food, activities excellent very attentive staff.
Outlook of Eskine Hall - marvelous.
Food is 5*.

I cannot express how much I am grateful that my husband, spent his final days in such comfortable surroundings with amazing compassionate and genuine caring staff. Not only did they care for my husband they were always checking in on me too, making sure I had eaten. They never restricted how many
visitors could visit. Thank you to each end everyone of you on the 2nd floor, including the activities team and housekeeping staff, and the ladies on reception, and a special thanks to the Manager for her invaluable support from start to finish.

Since arriving at Erskine Hall my mother has settled and become calmer and less anxious and stable. The care she's received has been exemplary, the staff are attentive, kind, friendly and supportive. I can't recommend Erskine Hall highly enough. She would not be here now if she had stayed at home,
we're very grateful that she is still with us.

I am writing on behalf of my mum. Mum was always terrified of the words home nursing home etc as her thoughts were you go in and never come out this was due to experiences with older family members in her younger days.
Mums experience at Erskine hall for a 4 week respite change all those bad
thoughts. It is bright and welcoming and has a happy feeling as you walk through the door. The care home management, reception and accounts team pleased to see and help you not just on the first visit but every time you visit which is anytime day or night which is amazing. Mum loved the food it was very tasty and mum in her younger days was a cook but never did she have a bad word the care patience and overall feeding assistance meant a lot. All the carers nurses and round the hourly nursing attention showed great dedication they are amazing people and you can see how much they really enjoy their job their dedication and care is second to none. The cleanliness the care the entertainment 100%

I can honestly say that I have never been happier with a care provider than I have been with Erskine Hall since my mum became a resident. The staff here treat my mum as they would their own. Ample services to provide stimulation and entertainment. Can't fault Erskine Hall.

Welcomed with cheerful kindness right from the start. The manager is warm, gentle and helpful - she always has a smile and time to help. The activities lady is fantastic at her job and is very talented, kind and inclusiveness, she motives everyone to join in.The nurses and staff are friendly and
helpful. The hairdresser is wonderful - she is so fast and efficient and ready to help. The grounds a beautifully maintained and the reception is always welcoming.

We recently celebrated my aunt's 100th birthday and had a small celebration at the care home. The Activities Coordinator who coordinates the activities and social aspects went above and beyond to make it a memorable and special occasion for the whole family. A big thanks to Agata for all her help
and support.

Erskine Hall is an excellent care home which offers wonderful service, in this case my father. They are given 3 meals a day plus tea, coffees, snacks and various other refreshments throughout the day. The rooms are warm and cosy with good lighting and bathroom facilities. Care is given 24 hours a
day and the service by staff is exceptional. Always on hand whenever you need them. There is always a choice for meals throttle day which certainly keeps the residents healthy. There is always a choice of activities to attend which my father particularly enjoys with the music. Would recommend this care home to anyone who definitely wants great care for their relationship in times of need.

My father went into Erskine Hall 2.5 weeks before he died. In that short time he got to know his carers, they made the end of his life comfortable and serene. The nurses were good at communicating with his family, looked after dad's medical needs very well and treated us all with respect and
compassion.

As a family, we are very grateful to Erskine Hall Care Home. We were greatly comforted by knowing she was being cared for 24/7 as she was in a lot of pain and very precious to us. We could not have looked after her ourselves. We enjoyed visiting her at the home which I now understand is extremely
important. Thank you Erskin your team has been a blessing to us. You guided and comforted us all. Mum absolutely loved the pianist.

Caring place. Rooms could be kept tidier. The staff are very nice, particularly one carer who went beyond her job description - friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble for her - excellent lady.

Erskine Hall Care Home is the best thing that happened to our family since our dad had a stroke. You provide a safe and friendly environment for my dad, everybody is welcoming and caring. he is happy as "Larry" terms feeling fine at home.

Dad was sent to Erskine Care Home from hospital on initially a temporary basis until we found him a long-term home. We have since decided for him to stay at Erskine as a long-term resident as the care received there is second to none. In particular, there are 3 members of staff that are absolutely
lovely and a credit to the home. The manager and several other members of staff were all so welcoming and cheerful and gave me the comfort that Dad is being looked after. Their warm and welcoming personas made the choice very easy and I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
