View Full Details of Iden Manor Nursing HomeMy mother is very settled in this lovely home. The staff are fabulous, so friendly and very connected to the residents and they all clearly enjoy their job.
My husband has just recently become a resident at Iden Manor. We have been overwhelmed by the care, consideration and friendliness of the Manager/s and staff. My husband has settled well and we are reassured that he will be receiving the best care possible. This has already become evident in the short time he has been there. We are so very grateful for everything. Thank you.
My wife is not very well, and the staff at Eden Manor have been absolutely fantastic. They are very professional, and you can see that they really care. The setting, facilities and food are again excellent. 100% recommended
A lovely, friendly, caring home in glorious grounds. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff have gone out of their way to accommodate my husband who can be a difficult patient. The home manager has always made time for me when I have a query or question and there is always a cup of tea available. I am so thankful that my husband is in a happy environment where he is encouraged to thrive.
The staff are so friendly, and helpful. My friend has been a resident for a few months. The property is clean and tidy, hygiene is immaculate. The residents have ladies who do the entertaining with them, for example bingo. The staff cannot do enough for you.
A beautiful facility with a host of great carers and nurses who are always on hand to either assist or just ready with a cheery word. The room is large and comfortable which we could fully personalise for dad. There are daily activities and residents are encouraged to participate. Dad is very happy there. He never has a bad word to say even if he does forget where he is. He has total freedom to wander the house or grounds and we feel relaxed knowing that someone is keeping theirs eyes on him. The staff are always open to suggestions or alterations in dad's car plan. The lounges are huge and lovely. You can sit alone and quietly or with others. There is so much space!
Incredible personalised care and support for my mum who has dementia and gets very anxious. Staff really pay attention to her emotional welfare alongside great practical support and care for her physical needs. Always very welcoming and hospitable when I, and other members of the family, visit. And it is a huge relief that mum is in such a kind and caring environment.
Since moving to Iden Manor my sister in law has been welcomed and treated with respect and dignity as well as care and compassion. Having left her last care home because they told us they could no longer care for her, she has found it quite hard to adjust to her new surroundings and the fact that it is a bigger home, with more people needing care. The manager is always on hand to answer any queries that we may have and has been and continues to be a great support to both the family and my sister-in-law in what has been a traumatic few months for all concerned. The staff are friendly caring and compassionate and they try to cater for all needs which in a larger home is difficult to achieve. The home is always clean and tidy and the rooms are lovely with beautiful aspects from their many windows. We all feel very fortunate that we found Iden Manor and that they had space at a time when we needed it and in time we hope that my sister-in-law will be happy and content there.
My sister came to Iden Manor in December 2023, and the manager and staff have been very attentive and helpful in making her settling-in months as smooth as possible. I feel that my sister is treated in every way as a person with particular needs and quirks. Every concern and suggestion made by myself and my sister's husband are not just listened to, but acted upon, from the furnishings and arrangements of her room to her needs for personal care and monitoring. Several months on, I am grateful to be experiencing a new peace of mind regarding my sister's well-being. Iden Manor provides a really home-like setting for its residents as well as a social environment that my sister can participate in or withdraw from as her mood and wellness each day allow.
Took Mum a while to settle in, but she now sees it as home, and the added touches of the snack bar, tea and coffee whenever, and the beautiful gardens have really helped. All the staff seem amazing particularly one lady who really helped her settle.
Caring staff nothing is too much trouble. It is good to know my husband is in a safe and happy environment.
So welcoming and friendly. A very calm atmosphere. I'm very happy with where my mum is residing. My mum was clean and well dressed with her hair all neat and tidy. Was offered a cup of tea and biscuit.
I was transferred from hospital, following sepsis, for assessment before returning home. I entered the care of Iden Manor Nursing Home on the 10th of January 2023 and left there for home on the 1st of February 2024. I am extremely grateful for the care I received from all of the staff. They were all kind to me and treated me with respect and understanding.
From my first contact with the manager when I was looking for a respite placement for my mother-in-law I found responses to be quick and informative. Needs changed quickly and instead of looking for a 2-week respite placement, I was changing to CHC-funded end-of-life care. Iden Manor accommodated this with no difficulty and my mother-in-law moved in. The staff were all very welcoming, extremely caring and very respectful of my mother-in-law's dignity at all times. They made family very welcome and we were able to come and go at any time of the day or night. They offered great support to family members by offering them food and even making up a bed on one occasion for us. I was involved in the care plan and my input was valued and acted on. Whilst our ideal would have been for my mother-in-law to remain at home this was not feasible but we found that Iden Manor provided the very best of care right up until the end. Words do not truly convey our gratitude to all the staff on the Good Shepherd unit, you are amazing people.
The care given to my mother during the last months of her life by Iden Manor made those last months the best they could be for her and us. The staff were patient, caring and kind. I am most grateful and have no hesitation in recommending your home.
At Iden Manor Nursing Home, all the carers are nice and respectful to the residents. The home is always spotless. The residents are well cared for. I would recommend this home to friends and family members.
The care given to my husband during the last weeks and days of his life was good-humoured, patient, watchful and unfailingly kind. I was in and out of the home three or four days a week so had ample opportunity to observe examples of best practice. I am thankful, too, for the sensitivity shown to him and to me during the final hours of his life. I will never forget the care we both received.
My brother has been resident for 22 months. I visit him regularly and have always received a friendly welcome from staff. Iden Manor always looks and smells clean and fresh and the residents present as well cared for and content. On a one to one basis I am so pleased that my brother is being treated with dignity and kindness. Staff also seem to be well trained in understanding how dementia affects residents, like my brother, responding with extreme kindness when he is confused or anxious. It is such a relief to see that my brother now receives appropriate care both physically and emotionally. Over the last two years the staff have had the huge challenges of Covid outbreaks as well as cuts in water supply. Through all this, I’ve only ever seen staff staying calm and not panicking. It is a lovely residential home all round.
Always have a warm welcome. Nursing care is good. Staff are very kind.
Mum has been in Iden Manor since July 2021. Her care throughout this time has been excellent. She waxes lyrical about how wonderful everyone is, how the food is superb (she’s gone up 3 dress sizes since moving in!) and how much she loves living there. There are very regular activities including a lot of visiting entertainers. There really is something for everyone. The attention to detail is great, birthdays are always celebrated with cakes, banners etc. Mum's party for her 90th was wonderful.
