View Full Details of Ami Group - The Knoll Unit and Ami Court UnitThe change in Mum since she transferred from the hospital to Ami Court is unbelievable. She is smiling and chatting again. She is well fed and safe. Within a few days, she is joining in activities. There is a happy, vibrant vibe at Ami Court. In just 3 days, mum has done exercises, played bingo and started reading again. I cannot recommend Ami Court enough. Mum is herself again.
The home is wonderful. All the staff are very caring. Mum's health has improved immensely, and I honestly thought that Mum would not make it through the first night. The home has made something impossible possible. I was so surprised to see her joining in with activities as this is something she would never do. Mum has made friends with other residents and now spends her days in the lounge. I feel very welcomed when I visit, and I am able to visit when I please, as if I was visiting mum in her own home.
My father went from hospital to nursing care. In the past he refused to accept any help, however he settled in very quickly and feels that he is in a hotel. The staff treat him with respect and ensure his wishes are taken into account. My father would not admit to having any problems but with the help of the staff I now know exactly what difficulties he has and am reassured that he is well looked after. The staff always keep me informed and respond to all my questions. His room has recently been updated always clean and I am happily surprised when I am informed that my father enjoys the activities available.
Since my mum has lived in The Knoll, she has been cared for excellently. Management and all the staff care so much for all the residents, also keeping our family informed of any developments. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is a very happy place which I think helps my mum. Food is top quality. My mum's bedroom is always neat, tidy and homely. Thanks everyone for looking after my mum. She's the only one I've got!
I find staff very helpful. Always willing to help in anyway.
My mum was transferred from hospital to AMI Court. Although she'd always said she wanted to stay at home, after three falls it was clear she was no longer safe there and was cared for at AMI Court for six weeks until her death. The staff were all so kind and caring, I am sure she couldn't have spent the last weeks of her life in a better place.
A long-time family friend was transferred to the Knoll from the hospital and we were all worried about how she would settle into a care home environment, but from the moment I came to visit she could not stop talking about how wonderful everything was and that she felt that she was in a top class hotel. She was in the lounge when we came and there was different activities taking place. My friend told me how a lady had come the other afternoon and they were all singing and moving around to different songs - this made me laugh as in the past she would have laughed at people doing this but now she is really loving it. The staff offered me a drink when we came in and made sure we were all seated comfortably, checking that everything was ok when we were ready to leave. Food was just being brought in for supper and I have to say it smelt amazing. I left feeling really happy and am looking forward to our next visit to see what she has been up to.
I was greeted at the door with a smile & the lady was very polite. Offered me a dink when taking me to the lounge to visit my friend. First time visiting this home & made me relax knowing it is a nice home. Lounge had activities & friend taking part. She said I could look at room as she couldn't believe how nice it is here. Like a hotel. Dinner came so I only stayed for another 5 mins, looked lovely & smelt amazing.
My friend has been in for 6 months Lovely staff welcoming and full or life and have lots of activities with them and the facilities are clean and tidy the gardens are lovely and have plants potted buy the residents
My mum has been here for a year. The staff are amazing. Kind and very caring. I'm so very grateful for the way mum is looked after. Everything is so excellent. Mum is so happy and very safe. Managers are fantastic. I can't thank them enough. Mum loves all the activities. Food is amazing. So very well looked after.
My mother-in-law needs full time care and Ami Court have and are providing excellent care of her. Its a big weight off my wife's shoulders knowing that she is well looked after and safe.
I have seen things improve over the last 4 years that I have been visiting. The food has improved and there is more variety and also there is much more activities.
Mum has had several spells in hospital towards the end of 2024 and early 2025. It was clear she could not care for herself anymore. When Ami Court was offered I was nervous but from the moment I arrived before Mum was transported from hospital, I was made to feel welcome & I burst into tears. The staff care for Mum so well she is showered & dressed and looked after so well. I hope she will be with Ami Court until her death.
My Mum was a resident here from August 2020 to February 2025, she was one of the unlucky ones who caught covid in the early months whilst in hospital after a fall, she was never the same again. When she first arrived at the home she was in a terrible state and really thought she wasn't going to be with us very long. Ami Court worked their magic with so much care and attention and with the doctors help got Mum on better medication and within months she started to look so much better, yes she had her ups and downs and their was a couple of times we thought we may lose her but the devotion and friendly engagement of the staff always seemed to pull her through. I cannot fault how well Mum was cared for and she passed away in her room in February 2025, not in hospital which we as a family didn't want her to go though. Ami Court and The Knoll are very family friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
I am very pleased with the care given from all the staff. The food is excellent. I do think the en-suite shower room needs decorating as a lot of the paint is coming off. There is no unit next to the bed to put anything on.
My elderly mother has been looked after in AMI Court for over 4 weeks. The facilities and internal rooms are good. More importantly, the staff are very friendly and committed and as a result my mother gets excellent care. It's as if nothing is too much trouble when I request anything. My mother is very happy there.
I am writing this Review for my wife, who is a resident at Ami Court. She has dementia, and she would not be able to complete the Form herself. However, I have asked her views, and so I do know that she feels happy and comfortable. For myself, I am immensely grateful for the care my wife receives. She is safe, and she has an improved quality of life. I am full of admiration for the skill, dedication, patience and kindness of all the staff. I think the care home is managed very well. Thank you.
My friend initially joined another facility in March 2023. Unfortunately due to a fall he was transferred to The Knoll, AMI nursing home. In both care homes he was given the utmost car and attention, physically emotionally and all his lovely meals. The staff were delightful and nothing seemed too much trouble. It was definitely the nearest to being a home from home and I never had any concerns that everything wasn't as it should be. Thankyou to everyone concerned.
It's a very worrying moment when your loved one goes into care. You fear for how well they will be looked after and whether they will be given the dignity you'd hope for them. My father has now spent a week in AMI Court and I am absolutely delighted to be able to praise the care team to the highest. They are truly a remarkable group of professionals. The care and compassion they show to the residents is extraordinary. They are energised and motivated and this rubs off on the residents. My father has dementia and I have seen a marked improvement in his cognitive function over the last week. I put this down to the engagement he receives from the staff and fellow residence. A huge thank you to the entire team at AMI Court. You are all magnificent!
After Mum being admitted to Ami Group in the summer she has gone from being near to end-of-life to a happy, content person who is enjoying being where she is. The staff are extremely caring and loving, more like family and the social activities are full on, fun and very interactive with all the resident's abilities taken into account. The manageress fought very hard to keep Mum where she is settled and thriving and the whole team have contributed to us as a family, knowing Mum is safe, secure and well looked after. Couldn't recommend Ami Group highly enough.
