I am very happy and impressed by the facilities and care provided to my mother while at Lukestone care home. The staff are always pleasant, courteous and helpful. The establishment and rooms are always spotlessly clean. The building, staff and atmosphere at Lukestone provides a very relaxing warm
and welcoming environment for visitors.

My father's care at Lukestone was above and beyond what we could have wished for. The compassion, dignity and interaction that was showered upon him was just lovely to see and as a family it made it much easier to know that when we left for the day/night he was in such good hands and he would be
above all, safe. As a family we were also showered with kindness and offered and supplied endless cups of teas/coffees & food, the list is endless, we were kept informed all through our dads care. The team members, carers, nurses, all who contribute to the care of Lukestone's residents, should be applauded for their compassion towards their residents who are in a vulnerable state, this compassion which is at the forefront helps the family so much, they talk to the residents with dignity and treat them as their own family members, how ever much time we have with our loved ones, Lukestone gave our father respect and that's all we all really wanted, hoped for and received. Thank you all.

My Mother was admitted to Lukestone on the 2nd December, for end of life care, and passed away on the 13th December.
From her first day, to her last, Mum was treated with care, dignity and compassion. Her room was warm, inviting and always spotlessly clean. Mum was always clean and comfortable.
My husband and I, and my sister, took turns to ensure we visited every day. On every occasion we noted how welcoming, smiley and friendly the staff were, be it cleaners, carers or nursing staff. We were always offered drinks, and asked if we were ok.
It was a huge relief and comfort to all of us,that Mum's last few days were with such a wonderful caring team, in such a lovely home. I can't praise Lukestone high enough.

We have been visiting our family member at Lukestone Care Centre for a few years, they were always well cared for & happy, from the minute we stepped inside the door we were made to feel welcome, always plenty of staff around tending to the residents needs, we were always offered refreshments,
all the residents were happy, on one occasion when we were in the main lounge area one lady was quite distressed and a carer sat with her and spoke so kindly to her and showed her such care it wasn't long before the lady had cheered up. Having visited other friends and family members in other care facilities, we can honestly say Lukestone stands out head & shoulders above the rest. Amazing staff, like home away from home.

When mum was placed here the initial meeting and impression of home was good and welcoming. She settled in quickly and was looked after extremely well with compassion as she was unwell at the time. Upon our numerous visits we were offered tea/coffee and even biscuits as we sat with her in the
communal room. Her own room was very comfortable and clean. The food was excellent with snacks between and nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. When she got better and was sent home the bond between her and the staff was fantastic - thank you all.

My father joined Lukestone in November 2024 because he could no longer weight bare and his Alzheimer's disease was worsening. My brother and I could no longer look after him at home.
All the staff made him feel very welcome and he was always kept clean, shaven and extremely well fed. There was a
period when dad did join in the many activities that the girls did and I could see that he was enjoying himself.
There was always enough staff in the lounge area and I felt that it had a happy family atmosphere. I got to know the staff and they would always answer any questions that I had and treat me as one of the family. I also made friends with some of the relatives who became a great support network.
I loved the resident of the day idea and had Sunday lunch with my dad several times. Those memories I will treasure.
The facilities are homely which personally I preferred for my dad. I wanted him to feel at ease and relaxed.
The end of life care was excellent.

On arrival for the first time I was very impressed with the level of security in the care home from the codes on all doors and lift to checking in and out. There's no restriction on visiting hours and all staff that we encountered were polite, helpful and caring.
My mum's room was immaculate and
her clothes were changed regularly. She seemed to be quite content and interacted with staff in a positive way. I travelled from another country to see her and am very happy with the care she's receiving and have peace of mind leaving her.
The manager explained mum's condition and care to us and promised to keep us updated on her progress.
Overall I'm very impressed with the professionalism of all staff while still being compassionate to residents.

Dad was a resident from Feb 2024 to April 2025 and was bedbound. Within a few weeks, he was up and mobile again. This is down to the outstanding care and commitment from the team here. This made dad's spirits lift and gave the true purpose to keep fighting his illnesses. He made a lot of friends
here, especially the team. Taking part in various activities with exercises made fun. You cannot get better care than here. And communication between Lukestone and us was excellent too.

My mother was a resident of Lukestone since July 2023 and passed away in October 2024. She suffered from Mixed Dementia but was still very active, never could sit still, loved to walk, and always tried to help everyone including the visiting entertainment. From arrival to the end, the staff at
Lukestone have provided exceptional care for Mum. Knowing Mum was safe and secure assured us that she was in the right place especially as her face would always light up when she smiled at the staff. All the staff, from the clinical leads to the activity staff were helpful, never too busy to answer questions, and were so gentle and thoughtful to Mum as well as the other residents. My family and I can't thank them enough for the care they gave Mum for her last few days and were so respectful when Mum passed away.

My mum has been at Lukestone for almost a year. All the staff at the home are kind, caring and treat all the residents with kindness, respect, and dignity. When we visit Mum, we are always asked if we would like tea or coffee. The nurses always keep us updated with how Mum is getting on. We are free
to visit whenever we like and are often invited to any events that are planned at the home. I would be happy to recommend the home to anyone.

My husband is 83 years old and had a stroke 4 years ago and was then diagnosed with vascular dementia. He was bedridden, doubly incontinent, very confused and lost in his own words most of the time. He was admitted to Lukestone Care Centre 5 weeks ago for assessment as I could no longer look after
him at home. I am so happy he was sent there as the care provided is wonderful. The management and staff are so helpful and caring, nothing is too much trouble and the sincerity of their feelings and actions towards the residents shines through. I and the family are permanently thanking them for their kindness and gentle actions towards the residents. Thank you Lukestone and bless you all.

the care Lukestone Care Centre residents receive for their diverse needs is excellent. My husband required nursing care and every member of staff, the nurses and especially the manager welcomed him with compassion. The care I received was excellent and I was updated on his well-being every day.
During his short stay he enjoyed the socialising etc, was expertly nursed, cared for and finally passed away with dignity and at peace. I will be eternally grateful to everybody who made this possible. Thank you so very much.
