View Full Details of Singleton Nursing and Residential HomeMum was only here for one week, when she sadly passed away. I cannot praise the staff highly enough with the care they gave her, and the support given to us as a family. It was a very difficult time for all of us, but knowing mum was being well cared for, and we could approach the staff at any time made the whole process more bearable. Her passing was handled with care and dignity, and the staff made sure we were looked after too. If anyone asks me to recommend a care home, this will be right at the top of the list Thank you each and everyone
Walking into Singleton Nursing Home always felt like being embraced by a big hug - the staff were so welcoming, cheerful and helpful. Dad was discharged from hospital to the home in April 2025. We have always appreciated the way in which he has been cared for with efficiency and empathy by the Team. Staff kept in touch and I have appreciated updates and discussion regarding Dad's needs. They have always been so helpful when I have phoned them. The variety and number of activities laid on by the Well Being Team are most impressive - from musical entertainment, arts, crafts and cooking to presentation and films. We looked at many potential homes for Dad and are so glad that Singleton were able to take him.
My parents in laws moved into Singleton Nursing and residential home May 20th 2025. MIL was end of life. During her time at the home her care was faultless. She was always treated with care and dignity. Explained everything to the family and kept us updated. MIL passed away at the home on 12th June 2025. The staff was wonderful to us all in the days before her death, nothing was to much for them. FIL is still a resident at SNRH. We can not fault his care and welfare. We could not ask for a better place for him.
The dedicated and genuine staff at Singleton Nursing home really care about the needs of each resident. They show this by consistently going the extra mile to do what is best for the residents and we are so grateful. Our dear mum especially loved the amazing activities program and learned many new skills the last couple of years of her life. Thank you to all at Singleton, for taking care of our mum. This home is first class.
I always had a warm welcome from the receptionist. Medical staff were always available to bring me up to date with any health concerns. The caring staff always treated my family member with love and respect. The premises were always clean and tidy and well maintained.
My friend has been in this home for 18 months appox; I have visited almost every week. In all that time everyone from nurses, carers, the girls who do the activities, the admin and all the backroom staff do a great job. They are all so caring. I would recommend this nursing home to any of my loved ones if it was necessary, even for myself if it came to it.
From start to finish this home was absolutely outstanding. Always happy to help with anything, give you time if you want it. Very kind to my dad and nursed him back to health. Can't thank you enough
My dad had been in hospital for 2 months and was in the late stages of dementia. We wanted him to be in a home that felt like a real home. Dad was only there a week before he died. All the staff were so kind and caring and looked after him and us as a family with such compassion. We will always be grateful he was at Singleton Nursing and Residential Home in his final days.
We, as a family, cannot praise Singleton Nursing and Residential Home highly enough. From the initial contact, the care, both nursing and administration, were absolutely wonderful. The staff are professional, caring and dedicated. The activities team were passionate. Thank you team Singleton for all your hard work and care.
Just want to say a massive thank you for the love and care shown by the whole team at Singleton Nursing Home. My Dad, Dave, wasn't looking forward to going into a home but couldn't believe the level of support he was given. Thank you for making his final weeks so comfortable xx
My father was not keen when medics advised he needed the services of a residential nursing home. He and us as a family could not have been made more welcome and he soon adjusted. The care and support we all received was exemplary. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend the services of this home......
My late husband spent six weeks in Singleton nursing home. He was extremely well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. He didn't have much of an appetite but the staff encouraged him to eat and would provide food and snacks that appealed to him. I was able to visit at any time and the staff ensured that I was also being look after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Singleton nursing home.
My stepfather stayed here till his passing in may 2025.Every member off staff are amazing .attentive and loving .Staff became my stepfather's Family. . Dignity in his full say there. His placement at singleton changed that in the most positive way .The home has entertainers most days and all are included . Food is great and regular meal times. My stepfather was always clean shaven washed every day . The home always was clean and a good buzz about it . The last week with my stepfather was difficult to see a loved one passing .The staff were amazing as always ,their care extended to myself and other family members as it was through my stepfather's stay . We love every one of you . Thank you all from our hearts
Singleton nursing home is a well designed, modern facility and ideally suited for the provision of dementia care. Mum was well looked after and her care needs met at all times. The staff were always pleasant and helpful and seemed well trained for their respective roles. The level of activities provided during the week were excellent and included trips outside to shops and a local pub/restaurant. Overall, mum was very happy during her stay which was great comfort for me.
My uncle was very happy during his time at the nursing residential home. He was extremely well cared for and all the staff were caring and went out of their way to be helpful. Both management and day staff knew his name and he was treated with respect and as an individual and not just a name or a room number. Highly recommend this facility. Many thanks.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my mother received during her five-week stay at Singleton Nursing Home. Admitted with a terminal illness, she was treated with genuine compassion, kindness by the entire staff. The facility was always immaculately clean and provided a warm, welcoming environment for all her visitors. Towards the end of her life, we could be with Mum as much as we needed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts; your kindness truly made a difference in our lives during the challenge.
Mum (age 94) went in just for 1 weeks respite care in March but when she came back home she was full of praise for the staff. i was a little concerned before going in as mum is type 1 Diabetic so needed insulin jabs every morning at the correct no. of units and knowing how particular she is over her food didn't know how she was going to react as this was her first time in a home of any sort, but needn't had worried as everything went smoothly and they even gave me a printed out report copy of all meds that had taken place over that week, with readings recorded for blood pressure and blood sugar levels, excellent. Mum said she had enjoyed the lunches and activities that were available during each day, so overall would say could well be using them again in the future.
I'm writing this review whilst sitting at the bedside of my mum who heartbreakingly, probably won't get to feel the sun upon her face tomorrow. Mum only arrived here 2 weeks ago and in that time, every single person involved in mum's care have been nothing but kind, empathetic and treated mum with so much respect and love. But, that love and kindness as been extended to myself and other members of the family. I know tonight is going to be hard but I genuinely feel the staff here are supporting me like they are family and friends. So Thank you Singleton x
This was Dad's second visit to Singleton Nursing and Residential Home. He had been looking forward to returning for Christmas, fun, games and company. Sadly Dad became unwell unexpectedly and was cared for very well by the nursing and care staff. The care staff also looked after us as a family and we were well supported. We are very grateful Dad was in such a lovely, caring environment for his last days.
A very caring home and all staff approachable and willing to assist. Room and cleanliness 5 stars. Empathy and respect a common traits. The manager and her team are delivering the care promised 24 hours 365 days. One staff member was very understanding and explained medical conditions with clarity. Another staff member raised the spirits of someone terminally ill. Life was to be enjoyed, great home, great staff.
