View Full Details of St Katharine's HouseLovely visit today. The Home is very clean throughout and the Residents appear to be well looked after and happy. The care staff were very welcoming and hospitable with hot drinks on offer as well as cold drinks. The rooms I saw were laid out in a more homely fashion.
I am very pleased with help and excellent care that my husband has received whilst he has been here. The staff are first class and go out of their way to look after the patients.
We are so blessed to have found St Katherines House. This is such a loving and caring environment. We have found every aspect of care to be of the highest standard at all times. The activities have been exciting and inclusive, and we have especially valued the attention given to residents emotional and spiritual welfare.
I have found the staff at St Katherines to be welcoming, supportive and caring. A nurse is always available and is experienced and knowledgeable in case of problems. Care is very good and the utmost attention is paid to residents' dignity, cleanliness and welfare. The food is traditional, wholesome and care is paid to special diets or tube feeding activities are available for residents every day and full list is posted to keep everyone informed. The services of a hairdresser and chiropodist are regularly available as is NHS physiotherapy, a visiting optician etc.
I visit my wife every day and have seen professionalism from every member of staff, cleaners, maintenance and carers. Administration staff are always available to help should anything needs to be attended to. Because I visit every day I see that it is consistent and the care provided is the best. Residents are well cared for, clean & tidy and happy. Catering staff also do a wonderful job and meals are plentiful and nutritious. The entertainment staff arrange a vast array of activities and social events.
I have been pleased with the care my husband has received over the last two years. It would be good to have some meetings with management to discuss how resident is behaving and any ways that we might help.
Excellent visit to a dear friend who is being well cared for by wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble to care for her every need. Staff informed me of her progress since she broke her pelvis and her day to day rehabilitation
From the day my dad came to St Katherine's, Staff have been amazing, they care for my mum during this time which is hard on dad and the family. They do a great job caring for all the residents from what I have observed focused on dignity, respect and love. I would recommend without hesitation.
Staff are always friednly and helpful. Sometimes the food is overcooked, and can't be eaten.
As usual my visit was comforting and reassuring to know my mum is in such caring and professional hands. Every single member of staff are amazing and I thank you all for looking after my mum.
We are very happy with care shown to my father. All his needs are met in an efficient, professional manner. The staff work hard but always have to time to talk and spend time with the family.
You cannot go out whenever you want which is what I need to be happy. The laundry leave a lot to be desired, clothes take up to a week to be delivered. Visitors are very few and the carers are always busy which means they don't have to for everything.
My mum sadly passed away (suffering from Alzheimers/dementia) in March after just over 5 years in the care home. I always found the care staff extremely caring and lovely and I think they genuinely loved my mum which was of great comfort to me. My mum was initially very frail going in to the home due to her illness but soon gained weight and appeared more calm and content. This was all during a very tricky time with covid. Thank you
I have been greatly impressed with the members of the staff, all of whom seem extremely efficient and also very pleasant to deal with. The care home is a beautiful place where all the patients appear to be very happy. In a couple of years, I will be ninety and would be well content to live somewhere like this if my health starts to deteriorate.
Whilst my wife was in your care I found she spent a lot of time alone (no company at all). She had only a day bag and twice I found the bed flooded where she had split it whilst lying on it. Did request a night bag but it was not forthcoming. Food left for her to eat, no helping eating, found water bottle empty 3 times. Staff very nice just overworked, not enough of them, she passed after 3 weeks, so don't know if it would improve.
When my wife came here, the staff really showed respect towards her, though they had never met her before and when I come here to visit my wife, I see the staff really love the people that they take care of.
Fantastic team. Helpful management!
I believe the wing (Tulip) is understaffed many times at weekends. Quite often and staff member is trying to look after 10 residents moving around, going to toilet and trying to leave rooms.
Lovely rooms looking out onto the garden which is good for Mum as she is bed bound and she enjoys the view. Mum can exhibit challenging behavior but staff treat her with kindness and respect or a ready smile at all times. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Whilst care giving staff explain what they are going to do and reason for it to reassure Mum. Can't fault the care she receives.
Overall extremely happy with the care that Mum receives. The buildings are always warm and cozy and the staff are always helpful and caring.
