View Full Details of Triangle Care HomeVery friendly and professional staff. Nice room with tv and en suite. Kept clean and tidy. Good menu with a variety of tasty meals and puddings. Drinks freely available. Will definitely use again, put my anxiety at ease at leaving my husband for the first time.
I visited my mum in 2023 and came back now in June 2025 as my mum passed. My mother was very well cared for her 2-3 years at the triangle. The staff were all wonderful and showed much compassion while trying to make each day special. We were all treated very well when visiting, always tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits. I would highly recommend this care home. Grateful that my mum was there.
My wife has now 3 1/2 years in The Triangle, following a degree of dementia, and stroke. The change of ownership of the home has just taken place: the transition appears to have been very smooth and a full refurbishment is being carried out remarkably quietly. There has been no break in the care, cheerfulness and affection in which my wife is looked after by carers, household and management alike. The food remains good and cleanliness of the rooms is well attended to. The arrangement by which a GP attends weekly lends confidence. The single most marked deficiency in my view is the absence of a built-in arrangement for physiotherapy for all residents - which it would be good to see Gold Care consider in their strategy for the coming years. I finished my career with the United Nations and so welcome that fact that, as most care homes, the staff are largely from other countries. One hopes that the new government measure to reduce immigration will not have an adverse effect on The Triangle and it's employees; and that, as the economy improves, the social welfare sector as a whole will be better resourced.
I chose this Home for my Mother, as it is close to where we live and we would be able visit her regularly, despite being aware that it 'required improvement'. However the Regional Manager convinced me that it would be improved, with a refurbishment programme already in place, and the recruitment of experienced staff. However this did not happen whilst my Mother was a resident, as there was no Activities Co-Ordinator or Maintenance Staff recruited, so very few activities took place, and no refurbishment happened. The Nursing Staff, and a few of the Carers that looked after my Mother were caring, helpful, and attended to her needs well. However with other Carers there was very little interaction, and a lack of attention to detail with regard to her personal comfort and needs. I had regular meetings with the Manager to review her Care Plan, however agreed improvements were rarely implemented. The food was varied and generally looked appetising. I would not recommend The Triangle Care Home
What can I say? Excellent. The staff are the most important part to me, not the fact it's new. The care of my mother was excellent at Triangle. All staff showed her dignity and care as if looking after their own mother. The nurses, carers, cleaners and laundry were excellent. They are all professional, hardworking and caring, including the office and management, being efficient and supportive. The only negative I can find is chipped paint and carpets needing replacing but with resources going on residents' care that is more important to me.
My father seems very content when I visit and all the staff are lovely and friendly. They are very caring and cope with my father's needs very well. I would definitely recommend the Triangle Care Home.
I am extremely happy with the care my father is provided with. From management to nurse to the caters, everyone is kind and caring. They give a very personal level of care to my father and keep informed. They have excellent flow of communication. Facilities are great and food provided is very tasty, specially my dad loves his pudding:) I cannot recommend this place enough
A lovely comfortable home from home. Relatives are kept informed of any changes. The care he receives is excellent.
Mum was only at Triangle for three days, she was discharged from hospital for end of life care. During that time the staff at the Triangle were so helpful, kind and compassionate at a very difficult time for myself and my family. Thank you to all Triangle staff.
I wanted to record how grateful our family is for the care our Mum received at the Triangle. She passed last month in a safe, secure and loving environment characterised by amazing people doing an amazing job. She made genuine connections with many of the staff and my father, who was at her side all day every day, was made to feel really welcome. We will definitely look in from time to time to say hello and thankyou again for all that you did for her and for him.
A care home that's friendly, homely and caring, all the staff are gentle attentive and look after the residents well. Hygiene is very good and the residents have regular baths and showers all the home always smelt nice and clean, and the care home is warm, cosy and very welcoming. My mother required 100 percent care and they fulfilled this adequately, her needs were always met and the regular staff faces which is a bonus was great for Mum as she was comfortable with them and knew them which in hand not only put my mind at rest but Mum's too.
The Triangle Care Home has provided a wonderful, high-class care service for my mother for a long time, as well as providing a source of support for my father visiting her - making him feel part of their family. I have personally seen and felt how deeply the staff care for both of them.
On visiting the care home I have found the staff helpful and friendly, the home is very clean and tidy. Our resident has said the food is good and the staff look after her. I'm sorry that I can't give a rating for Value for Money because I don't deal with the money side of the care.
I have visited many care homes in the past for elderly family but none have come up to the standard of Triangle Care Home. The home is spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly and caring. I was a little worried at first as it is quite a way to travel but after visiting the home several times, although having to rely on other transport I am thrilled with how well she has settled in and how kind the staff are and encourage her in activities. Brilliant.
We find the care home very friendly clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly respectful to visitors and most of all to the residents. My friend loves the staff and they always find time to talk with her. She has never complained about the food, and most of all there is always a cup of tea to hand, the visitors are also asked if we would like tea too. We know times are not easy with people with Dementia but the staff are brilliant in coping with people's lack of memory.
Very friendly and professional staff which makes residents and visitors welcome. They listen to residents and understand different needs for different people. Very prompt and professional response when medical emergency happened and kept us informed and calm.
When my neighbour was moved to Triangle, I was initially concerned because it is quite a drive from where we live and I did not know the Care Home at all. But from the very first day, I have been nothing but impressed with the care my neighbour received up til her death. The nursing staff are dedicated, knowledgeable and loving, and all the assistants are cheerful and efficient. The food was clearly particularly valued by my neighbour! Yes, the decor is rather tired compared to some of the snazzy brand new care homes around, but what mattered far more was the high standard of *actual care* given. This includes actual medical care, which was very good, and changes in medication meant my neighbour was much happier plus, in the final weeks, the Hospital at Home team came in.
The manager is totally professional and very personable and always goes out of her way to communicate and update me with regard to my mother. My mother is extremely well cared for, she is bed-bound and is always very comfortable and brilliantly tended to by the fabulous team of carers employed.
We have found all the staff friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. They meet the needs of my relative and go above and beyond. We haven't marked activities due to her not wanting to attend, but the staff always check with her. They make sure she is comfortable, always popping in to see her. We are very happy with the care and attention she receives at the care home.
I visited my Nan weekly here. Always short-staffed, never staff around to speak to about care of my Nan. Constant new manager. No one ever had any time with residents while I was there. Just shoved food in their mouths without asking them, same with drinks just like a production line. Left my Nan on a broken bed for a day and would have longer if we hadn't made them move her, luckily we visited her that day! Just constant issues. Thank goodness we got her out. Such a depressing place, my mother-in-law (ex-care home manager/nurse) was disgusted by the things she saw and heard while on her weekly visits to see my nan. Stay clear of the place.
