View Full Details of Emberbrook Care HomeDad has now been living at Emberbrook since September 2023 (22 months). Sadly he is now bed-bound but the care and attention he receives from the staff is first rate. At 104 he is the eldest resident and he is treated with great sensitivity and dignity. This may be a sad period of his life but as a family we very much appreciate the care provided to Dad. This gives us great comfort.
I have visited for the last one a a half years and have found everything excellent. Staff are kind, friendly and professional. The care is excellent!!
My mum has been a resident at Emberbrook for a year now as we could no longer keep her safe at home. Emberbrook came to the rescue & were very helpful immediately organising mum to get dropped directly as they did with my dad. Mum is well cared for with respect & dignity by all the staff and she always looks clean & tidy. We are always kept informed of any concerns and in turn, we feel comfortable to raise any issues ourselves. Emberbrook has recently changed ownership & so far we are impressed with the works to improve & update the home. We hope that they continue to value the staff their have inherited as they go above & beyond to keep our family members safe & happy. Thank you to all of the staff for all your hard work, you are providing the love & care as if they were at home.
My Mum has currently been a resident at Emberbrook for about a year now. She is very settled and happy. The staff are very welcoming, and are always happy to answer any questions and chat about Mum. I am impressed with the number of staff that are there to support the residents. I feel really confident that she has excellent care as she is physically and emotionally well. Mum has complex health difficulties that are managed well by caring staff. Emberbrook is homely and not too large...perfect for my Mum. The new owners are refurbishing the home and keeping it looking fresh. I have no hesitation in recommending Emberbrook as a safe and caring home for those who need care that can no longer be done at home.
Placing my friend of many years into your care was the best choice I ever made. She was not the easiest of people to help as she was so independent and and hampered with hearing issues too! She appreciated the food and activities when she wanted to and no one gave up encouraging her gently to attend activities. Sadly she recently passed away but the dignity and care provided to her during these last days was so sensitive and caring. Thank you.
Brilliant home. They look after my mum really well.
Very kind and caring staff. Mum always is clean and tidy. Bedroom is well maintained. The staff are always available to talk with and will contact me if there are issues with mum.
A few weeks ago my sister and I had to make the very difficult decision that residential care was our only option for our mum. Emberbrook was recommended. The minute we walked in the door we could tell this was the one! The staff were warm, welcoming, friendly and obviously very proud of the place. They understood the position we were in and the decision we were making. We received kind, considerate, respectful advice and help. Initially, she went in for 2 weeks of respite. It wasn't easy, as this was a big change. But the staff knew what they were doing and it was so reassuring. Within 3 days the transformation in our mum was remarkable! She came back to life! She was happy, contented and really loves the place. Thanks to the staff, the activities, the care and professionalism of Emberbrook. Because of this, we were happy and confident to make the change to full-time resident. She has made friends and is enjoying her life there. No longer feeling alone but part of a larger, lively family.
My mum has been at Emberbrook for 6 months and it was the best decision we made, the caring and homely atmosphere is evident from when you walk through the doors. Emberbrook made one of the hardest decisions ever so much easier, knowing my mum is in safe hands and being looked after beautifully.
My brother has been a resident at Emberbrook Care Home for just over four years. He is very happy and settled. The staff on the dementia ward are very attentive. There are plenty of activities and the lounge and restaurant are encouraged to participate. The medical team are in contact regularly to update me on my brother's needs, and hospital appointments. Overall, very satisfied with my brother's care facilities.
It was a difficult decision to put my wife with Alzheimer's into a care home but I am relieved to find that Emberbrook made the experience as pleasant as possible.
It's with a heavy heart that I reach out to team Emberbrook, who have gone above and beyond kindness - care - therapeutic services, January 2023 my father passed, one year later my mother passed. Living 6000 miles from them has been difficult on its own, but having the peace of mind that both were being looked after so well has been priceless. 100% best care home by far.
My brother has been a resident at Emberbrook for 5 months having been discharged from hospital in a very poorly way mentally and physically. Emberbrook has given him full support from day one and continues to do so. He has improved in every aspect of his care needs, his care plan prepared is fully meeting his needs and the stimulation from the team organising and implementing a brilliant timetable for activities has been so beneficial for him. Anything I have asked from his unit has been met with full professionalism, full action and the skills shown have been outstanding. Great teamwork. My brother also enjoys a healthy well-balanced diet, instead of snacks which he fell into the trap of eating at home! Can’t thank you enough everyone at Emberbrook. Just a mention, on taking my brother to meet his wife and onto a Christmas Fayre, I asked the staff to pull out the stops on his dress attire. Carried out perfectly, he was the best-dressed man at the venue, everyone told him how smart he looked, which can only result in his own personal self-esteem. Thank you, thank you.
My mother has been a resident at Emberbrook for 10 months. We were told by a good friend that the care home was excellent but it has beaten our expectations on all fronts. My mother is so well cared for by all the staff who are all professional and so kind. They go the extra mile to make my mother's and my life better. I cannot recommend Emberbrook enough. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.
A well-managed, welcoming and friendly home. My nan has the attention she needs and is loving the food.
My mother-in-law was a resident at Emberbrook for around two years. I was always pleased with the standard of her care and thoughtful gestures by the staff. The environment was clean, fresh and welcoming. The staff were professional and caring. Regular carer meetings were very useful. Throughout the Covid era, the staff did all they could to make visiting possible and safe. Any comments were listened to and addressed.
My mum has just arrived at Emberbrook this month from hospital. Within a few days, she is up walking, is dressed and has the biggest smile on her face. All the staff are lovely, I simply cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you to all involved!
My dad has been at Emberbrook for six weeks and I can't believe the difference in him. All the carers are lovely, helpful, genuine people that he can talk to and I can talk to regarding my dad's needs. He is happy, clean, fed well, using his wheelchair. To six staff members in particular, thank you so mcuh - and all the others that I haven't met yet.
The staff here treat my mother with kindness and dignity and try and manage her moods. They call me from time to time to give an update on how she's doing. They jolly her along and persuade her to eat her meals.
My wife was in the home for over 3 1/2 years. I found the home, staff and facilities to be excellent. I cannot think of anything to fault. Absolutely super.
