View Full Details of Barchester Tandridge Heights Nursing and Care HomeWhat can I say!! Other than you have given us our mum back. 3 months ago we were all called to her bedside twice to be told it was the end. My mum was wasting away in bed doped up with drugs. Since coming to Tandridge heights, my mum is sitting in her chair, she is happy, she loves all of the activities and the activities team. She has even started to walk a little with her walker. Credit to all of the staff, you have done amazing, with my mum. I cannot thank you enough, (This is only a brief summary, there is lots more positives. Well done).
My friend was brought to the care home for end-of-life care. Even though he was only there for one week, the staff were brilliant both to him and his visitors. He was looked after well, the staff do a brilliant job and should be complimented on this.
Wonderful care home full of caring staff You made my father in law vary welcome and comfortable Plenty to do in the way of activities and the food eg cakes, savoury's tea and coffee are in abundance Very impressed with the 20 year anniversary Celebrations Everybody got involved
I was very apprehensive when I was told that mum needed to be in a care home; I had heard the horror stories surrounding the care of our elderly. However, I am pleased to report that Tandridge Heights is the complete opposite. Everyone is so welcoming and the staff are very attentive. As soon as you enter the premises there is a friendly vibe. I do not think I could have found a better place for mum. I have the confidence that mum is well cared for when I am not there.
Staff are very attentive towards me as a visitor and toward the residents. I particularly liked the numerous activities happening in the home.
very pleased - my grandmother seems so much better and more comfortable in Tandridge Heights and is being well cared for when things go wrong. She's enjoying the activities and making friends, too. I am so relieved and she is happy.
Tandridge Heights is a super care home for my father because the facilities have recently been upgraded, the food is excellent and the staff are attentive & lovely people. We walk round the well tended garden and enjoy tea & cake which is available all day Dad is comfortable, happy, well fed and well looked after. One area of improvement is lost property: hearing aids go missing and clothes are swapped!
Nice care home manager and staff. Very happy with Barchester Tandridge Heights Nursing and Care Home and the care of my dad, I feel that he is in safe care here, pleased with the nutrition provided to Dad, there are nice facilities provided, such as the restaurant and lounges. Dad enjoys speaking with all the members of staff and is able to be helped, have a conversation and enjoys meeting me (his daughter) regularly too. A great range of activities are provided every week for residents to enjoy, there is a lot for the residents to take part in. Clean and tidy surroundings, nice garden area. Visitors are welcomed and appreciated.
I have visited my grandmother I was very content about the ambience of the care home. Staff are very compassionate, caring and can see the dedication. I have spoken with the manager she is very polite, humble and caring attitude. I then met with the Home Administrator she is offering cake and cup of tea I thought it's very kind of her to offer me. I am very pleased about the care my grandmother is getting and thank you all of you for your hard work and dedication that you all do. I don't think any other place is better for my grandmother than this. Thank you so much lovely people.
The resident is not easy to care for with personality, memory and physical issues. All of her relatives are impressed by the thoroughness, patience and kindness of the staff.
I am so grateful to the fantastic staff who were always so kind and caring when looking after my dad. They made him very comfortable throughout his time there, I cannot praise them enough. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.
Friendly staff, generally warm, easy to relate with. Respectful. well experienced, good, clean environment, clean rooms and bathrooms. Good quality food choices and options about where to eat meals.
Barchester Tandridge Heights Nursing and Care Home has wonderful, dedicated, happy staff. My mother has been at her home for over one and a half years and loved every minute of it. The activities are plentiful and fun and the staff go over and above to make her life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I cannot but recommend it most sincerely.
My elderly mother has been in Tandridge Heights since coming out of hospital in January. She has a beautiful, comfortable room and settled ever so quickly. All the staff from reception, management, hosts, carers and nurses have been amazing, everyone treating Mum with the utmost dignity, respect and kindness. She thoroughly enjoys the food and being pushed around the gardens in her wheelchair. Thank you Tandridge Heights for doing such a great job.
My mother originally came into Barchester Tandridge Heights Nursing and Care Home with my father for respite care in January 2023, my father required nursing care following a fall and my mother had mild dementia. My father’s nursing care was excellent and my mother’s needs were also well looked after. My father passed away in July 2023 and my mother became a full-time resident of the home. She is very settled and all the staff know her well and make her feel secure and comfortable, she is treated with kindness and respect at all times. The food is very good, hotel standard and my mother has never eaten as well as she does now.
Overall, the nursing home is very good. The staff are very caring and helpful. They plan a lot of activities and events for the residents. The food is of a very high quality and visitors are made to feel welcome. Staff shortages do sometimes cause problems. The carers and nurses work extremely hard, but will always take time to talk to you about any issues. My only complaint is that at least 3-4 items have gone missing from my mother's room over the last few months. These have been reported but to no avail. It deters me from leaving anything of value on display.
Having been discharged from hospital, following Covid, I needed care facilities. What I found here was a group of people who devoted their time making life more tolerable for me. Nothing was left to chance as it was overseen at all levels by healthcare professionals. This was very reassuring. This is an example of you get what you pay for. The staff were very attentive and this helped me to get back to normality.
All the staff I met are so caring, patient, pleasant and positive. Sensitive to the needs of each resident. There seem to be efficient systems in place for medications and personal care. The food is good quality and there is a fine variety and choice of dishes. The personal rooms are clean and the communal rooms are comfortable and spacious. I particularly liked the meeting space near reception. Some of the dining chairs are tired-looking, with splits and tears in the fabric. Some gutters are blocked with vegetation, causing rain water to overflow noisily onto glass roofs.
Lovely home with great care. Staff are very supportive and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone made the family feel welcome, and the transition went well, smoothly and easily. From the moment you arrive at reception till the time you leave, you are made to feel welcome; the staff are very helpful, but at the same time, you can see how passionate they are about looking after the residents.
Since moving in, we have seen such a positive impact on our dad's well-being, and how he has settled has been truly heartening. One of the first things that struck us was the warm and welcoming environment at Tandridge. The atmosphere is not only friendly but also exudes a genuine sense of community. The staff members have been incredibly attentive and kind, making the transition for my father-in-law smoother than we could have imagined. The management team's approachability has been a beacon of reassurance for our family. They have not only demonstrated professionalism but also a deep commitment to ensuring the comfort and happiness of the residents. It is evident they foster a culture of compassion and excellence throughout the home.
