Im very happy at the way my husband is being cared for, .on a negative note would like him to receive more liquids , i know its difficult as he has to have help with it!! Every thing else is very positive and the care is fantastic and he is very happy, all the staff are wonderful and happy cant ask for me !

We contacted Tupwood Gate to provide residential palliative care and nursing for my father. The home is clean and friendly and makes the effort to keep residents entertained and engaged. Whilst he was only there for a week, I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care, nursing and personal attention provided by nurses and carers that he was given during his stay. The management team have been professional and supportive throughout and are friendly and welcoming to all that either visit or are resident. Every aspect has helped provide a great comfort in knowing that he was being cared for during his stay. I would highly recommend Tupwood Gate for its professional care and facilities.

My brother is always suppored with his staff and they really do support my brother getting to know him as well as us his family as his background is complex also I'm impressed with that every where my brother is his staff is with him even when he was in the hospital having surgery the staff stayed by his bedside and kept up the commucation with myself all of his needs are meet with his best interest in mind and I'm always when iv asked to see the manager it's a pleasure to be for once able to talk about my brother with everything being open nothing is not said and we agree like with his planning on going on holiday

The staff at Tupwood Nursing Home are always welcoming and caring towards both residents and their families. My dad appears very happy and enjoys joining in with activities during the day especially the musical activities.

Tupwood Gate Nursing Home provides exceptional care. The attentive, patient staff treat residents with dignity and respect, going above and beyond to meet their needs. The facility is spotless, with no unpleasant odors, and cleanliness is maintained to the highest standard. A variety of engaging activities, including music, arts and crafts, and pet therapy, keep residents stimulated. Even bedbound individuals are included. The management team is professional, approachable, and committed to open communication with families. With strong security measures in place, families have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are safe. I highly recommend Tupwood Gate for its compassionate and professional care.

My Nan moved here after a not-so-pleasant experience in her last care home, and our experience at Tupwood Gate has been nothing short of incredible. My Nan is incredibly well looked after, and I couldn't be happier with the standard of care she is receiving. Every single staff member I've spoken to has been caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. I am very thankful and grateful to everyone in the home :)

My dad has recently moved in and the staff have been so kind and caring. He is well looked after and there are always plenty of activities planned for him. The staff have taken time to get to know him in a relatively short space of time and are always happy to chat and spend time with him. The food is excellent and he has access to physio, the doctor and is really getting the proper care he needs. The staff are proactive in making changes to make his stay better. Everyone has made the wider family welcome too in what has been a very difficult couple of months.

I can only give the whole team at Tupwood Gate Nursing Home a 5 star recommendation. From the moment we phoned up desperate to get our Dad placed there due to a fall my mother had they were beyond great. Nothing was too much of an issue and they got us in late in the evening. All the staff that helped were brilliant. It was the first time for our dad and he was rightly quite anxious but again the staff were so good he felt right at home. Indeed, he asked for an extra week because he enjoyed it so much. Thank you Tupwood Gate.

Mum was admitted to Tupwood Gate following a fall for rehab. Mum became very unwell and prepared for EOL care, all the care staff were so kind and empathetic during this time. Mum made a miraculous recovery and planned for discharge home. My sister and myself were made to feel like family, nothing was too much trouble and Mum was so well cared for, she has a great relationship with the staff. I am so grateful for the time spent at Tupwood Gate, I could be her daughter and was able to spend quality time with my lovely Mum. I can never thank the staff enough for all their kindness, support, laughter, sympathy and understanding. I was very sad the day Mum was discharged, I will really miss the staff, they really cared for Mum, as well as fantastic support from the management, they always made an effort to see Mum and check on her progress, what a brilliant team, if I had the choice I would have chosen for Mum to be cared for at Tupwood Gate as she loved her time there and will miss all the staff.

The staff at Tupwood Gate took such wonderful care of my mother. The kindness of the staff was clear to see and my mother really was very happy there, prior to her passing. I can't thank the team enough and the deputy manager is an exceptional member of the team.

Fantastic care home! Kind, caring and compassionate staff who are always very helpful. Always very clean and well presented with great facilities for the residents. Room sizes are decent and overall everything seems to be of high quality, ie. Food/drink etc.

I can't thank Tupwood Gate management and staff enough for all the help and genuine care that they gave to my mum. Even though Mum was only there for 36 hours before sadly passing away, everyone treated her and my family with the utmost respect, understanding and all with the most gentle touch, as if we had known them for years, not days. My only wish is that Mum could have experienced everything that Tupwood has to offer. I highly recommend and rate Tupwood Gate.

It was a very difficult decision to put Mum in a care home but we couldn't have chosen better. The care Mum received was excellent. We appreciate the care and kindness shown to Mum from everyone at Tupwood - nurses, carers, housekeeping and maintenance teams. Thank you, Tupwood.

The staff could not have been more helpful, thoughtful, caring, kind, considerate, informative, and reassuring. First time I've needed respite for my mum as her carer I was in hospital myself and they did everything to help as I was very unwell and without communication from my end was difficult. They liaised with staff from hospital for me. I was able to not worry and just concentrate on getting myself better. Mum had a lovely stay and she is going back again next week while I go away for some rest myself before my surgery.

Mum was cared for at Tupwood Gate during the last few months of her life. I commend all the staff on the care and kindness with which Mum was treated. As frequent visitors we got to know all of the staff including cleaners, maintenance, carers and nursing staff; without exception all were professional, friendly and understanding. The quality of GP support in the home was exceptional.

It was the first time I had taken a respite break and was very concerned. As soon as we were welcomed into this lovely care home I felt at ease. My husband was looked after with great care and kindness and the staff are so friendly and seem to go the extra mile. Lovely gardens and comfortable and warm.

My father-in-law is very happy at Tupwood. The staff are all very kind and friendly. The activities lady is very inclusive ensuring residents feel well supported to take part. It is a lovely atmosphere.

Mum was a resident at Tupwood Gate for 2 years, after admission with reduced mobility and vascular dementia. The care she received from all staff was wonderful. She had a lovely relationship with many of the carers, activities and nursing staff who were clearly fond of her. She was always treated with great respect and staff looked after her as if she was their own relative. It was very touching to watch. As frequent visitors to the home over her stay our family were also welcomed into the “family” of Tupwood. Everyone knew us by name and knew who we were visiting, even from the start of her stay. We were informed of any significant events and if we had concerns these were handled with care and compassion. On occasion, we needed to talk to someone and have a shoulder to cry on. Senior staff were professional and so caring. When Mum eventually died, the care of her and us was wonderful and personal to our needs and wishes. This is an extraordinary home with extraordinary staff.

My Mother was in Tupwood Gate for around 10 months until she returned home in February 2024. She didn't need nursing care as such, as she went in originally for respite care, to cover a holiday, as she had a UTI, which meant that temporarily she was unable to look after herself, the extension of her stay was due to unforeseen circumstances. The staff at Tupwood were all very friendly and kind. They were very concerned for Mum's safety and well-being throughout her stay. It takes a while for most people to settle into a home, and the staff were understanding of this. Mum occasionally said she would have liked more variety with the food, but I think changes had been made in the last few months she was there. There were activities most days which Mum joined, she made friends with the other residents and, although happy to be going home, she will miss it there.

My father was only there a short while but in that time he was extremely well cared for. All the staff were genuinely very caring, I cannot find any fault with Tupwood Gate Nursing Home.
